Cannot resolve conflicts between hexagon.css and materialize.css - html

I am using Responsive Hexagon Grid as my base layout. After clicking a hexagon, I want a Modal to show up. For that I'm using Materialize CSS. However, After importing materialize CSS, the hovering effect of hexagon.css is completely messed up!
Is there any way I can solve this and get original hover effect like below? I'm new to this stuff.

See the error here:

(You may need to Google about Materialize CSS as I'm not allowed to post more than two links here).

I'm answering my own question here:
The conflicting code was for h1 tag. You just have to remove bottom padding from h1 tag to get things work!

Block popup on image hover using CSS

I want a popup block to appear when I hover over the image as given in the picture below. How can I achieve this using css.
I have already used css to change the background on hover so how can I make the content appear.
I have been using wordpress but I couldn't find any plugin for the same.
Can anyone help with this one?
Sorry, but you can't do this with only CSS : you have to use JS for it (so if you have not learned it before, I think you should...)
CSS can apply properties on elements "selected" but only that.
If you want to get an information about an element (like whether it is hovered) and apply a propertie to another element depending on the information (like visibility:hidden), you have to use JavaScript.

How to edit this wordpress theme page using custom css

Recently I've made a new Wordpress crew page for my team, this one. I'm using the visual composer plugin to put it all together. Unfortunately, the Wordpress theme adds a margin between the two sides that I cannot remove using visual composer. (see here)
After using inspect element in Safari I found the line that creates the margin (see here). After deleting the line it looks (like this).
My main question is: what is the best way to remove this margin? I'm afraid that jumping into the source code will mess up the website because the margin is part and connected to so many classes, maybe even on other pages?
Additional question: After deleting the margin in the inspector tool it creates white space on the right. I tried to find a specific page width or something similar but without success.
Thanks in advance!
You could create a Child Theme
Any code added to a child theme will not mess with the code of the original "Parent" theme. You can add your own stylesheet in it and override any styles you please, and they will carry over after any updates.
Use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS to inject your styles into the site.
You have to overwrite whole column grid. Try pasting this CSS code on "Custom CSS" field of your template or use plugin like "Cusom CSS"
.vc_col-xs-12, .vc_col-sm-6 {margin-left:0px!important;}
#media (min-width: 768px) {
body .vc_row-fluid .vc_col-sm-6 {width: 50%!important;}
}
If you know CSS, you should add ID to front page container and apply above CSS only to the front page. Otherwise it will take effect on whole website. It will remove margin between 1/2 columns.
Other way:
Try to make same arrangement of elements by using full width table instead of responsive columns - it will affect how website will look on mobile devices - but do you like how it looks now on mobile? ;)

Cant figure out how to apply css to menus in my footer

im brand new to coding and in a mad rush to get my website finished before i have to put it live in 4 days. im having serious issues with the menus on my site. i used a drag and drop editor to build it and am customizing small parts using the html element tool where i need to. The problem im having is that the editor as far as i can tell only uses one master css file for styling the menus... which means all my menus regardless on "in editor" settings have 15px padding around them. This is a huge issue for my footer which contains TONS of links. I need to find a way to apply css to only the menus in the footer. (there are a few coppies of the master page meaning theres actually a few footers, one for each master page)
sadly as im so new to code i dont really know what the hell it is im doing here.
but in short i just need to be able to make a little piece of css for my footer that i can apply that will only affect the menus in it and no where else
i dont want to paste the code in here as part of this question as i dont really kno what part to look for and what little i have looked into my code would be like 5 pages long or something. so please if you can help me just let me know what to look for or how to find it (im good at using the google chrome inspect tool) so i can paste only whats needed.
just in case it helps heres the current link to my website.

I suppose you don't have the options to add classes to your editor. Your footer does not use a footer tag, rather another instance of the div with class 'containerHolder'. What you could do (since the footer is the last instance of this class) is to use the css :last-child selector.
Your code would look like:
div.containerHolder:last-child li {
// css rules here
}
This will only target items inside of your footer. This is not the greatest method, but possibly the only one since you don't have control or knowledge of the markup itself. The above example would only target li's inside of your footer.
I'm not 100% on what you are wanting but you can select all the menu items by using #MP485 ul li as the selector or if you want the links #MP485 ul li a so if you want to edit the padding you can use something like this:
#MP485 ul li {
padding-bottom: 2px !important;
}
If you use !important at the end this should override any other styles.

Adding a working <a> inside a Keyframed Figure animation

Background:
I'm trying to create a rotating image banner with several links, each link being different. The FIGURE are set inside a DIV which is nested inside another DIV for centering and positioning purposes.
Current JSFiddle:
Available here without WebKits.
Problem:
Although I tried with several combinations, inside the markup and CSS, never does it trigger the anchor in any of the images (I have not set any effect on hovering yet, not to confuse the code). I deleted the anchors so you can see the base code before the tests I did. It functions now as perfect Pic Slideshow, yes, but that is not the intent.
Need:
To know what to do with an A tag for it to work on each of the images separately, in order to transform the PIC SLIDESHOW into an alternative to a Slider.
Code type restrictions:
I do not wish to use a JQuery in the solution, only CSS, HTML and the smallest JavaScript possible if everything else fails
Many Thanks

Ignore CSS on html element

I am working on a mobile site which is linked to online css which I cannot change. I added twitter bootstrap to that site. Bootstrap is applying but not 100% on all FORM HTML tags like select. All I want that if styling is not applying i'll force it somehow on that element, kindly let me know how can i do that. On form tag select the down arrow is not comming which is quite irritating. Kindly let me know how can I force the select to behave like the by default random styling.
You'll probably have to put your own stylesheet embedded into the of your document. Maybe use !important if it doesn't overwrite
