I had the exact same error and was able to fix it through following steps.
Run npm cache clean --force
Manually delete npm and npm-cache folders from AppData/Roaming folder (Win + R, Type %AppData% and enter)
Run Node Installer and repair
Reinstall npm install -g #angular/cli
Rerun ng new newApp
Worked :)
Use node V12.4.0 and npm V6.9.0
i was getting the same issue please try reinstall angular CLI after installing previous one
I think this can only be achieved if we first update the version to 8 and then move from 8 to 9.
I had the same Issue and Following steps worked for me.
Delete npm-cache in AppData/Roaming
Reinstall the angular cli by 'npm install -g #angular/cli'
Then Create the project
Run npm cache clean --force
Manually delete npm and npm-cache folders from AppData/Roaming folder (Win + R, Type %AppData% and enter)
Run Node Installer and repair
4.Reinstall npm install -g #angular/cli
Rerun ng new newApp
Worked :)
https://github.com/npm/cli/issues/1191
Delete the AppData\Roaming\npm-cache folder and then try creating the project again. This is really gonna work =)
I'm trying to install new Angular project using angular/cli commmand:
ng new app-name
My tools are:
ng --version
Angular CLI: 8.2.2
Node: 10.16.3
OS: win32 x64
Angular:
...
Package Version
------------------------------------------------------
#angular-devkit/architect 0.802.2
#angular-devkit/core 8.2.2
#angular-devkit/schematics 8.2.2
#schematics/angular 8.2.2
#schematics/update 0.802.2
rxjs 6.4.0
So, in order to get the default angular app I run:
ng new app-name
Choose adding routing and CSS fro the styles.
I get the following output:
npm ERR! Unexpected end of JSON input while parsing near '...pes/gulp":"3.X","#typ'
npm ERR! A complete log of this run can be found in:
npm ERR! C:\Users\gusenica\AppData\Roaming\npm-cache\_logs\2019-08-20T15_56_11_846Z-debug.log
Package install failed, see above.
Question is how can I solve this problem?
It was some kind of npm-related problem. I just ran
npm cache clean --force
and it worked!
I'm having no luck installing https://github.com/MadimetjaShika/vuetify-google-autocomplete library using npm. I'm new to using vue, and I'd like to install the prerelease developers build, 2.0.0-Alpha.9, as the old one doesn't work with my version of vuetify.
I've downloaded and extracted the zip file and then used npm install (filepath of the downloaded folder), however when i run the project I get a 'can't find module 'vuetify-google-autocomplete' error. I've only installed packages directly via npm before so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
You can install a specific version of a npm module by using npm tags
npm i vuetify-google-autocomplete#2.0.0-Alpha.9
You are unable to run it because what you downloaded is an npm repo by itself.
Go to the source folder , run the command npm install , then npm run build, copy the dist folder output to your project. How include that as a module and try.
So i've been creating a desktop application using electron. The problem is that when I run my application using npm it doesn't show any error about a missing module but when i package it and run it this error shows
I'm sure that i've install mysql module using npm install -g mysql and npm install mysql in the project directory. It's all working fine when i run the unpacked version of the application
Assuming that you have installed mysql if not please install mysql npm install mysql --save-dev
Hi I also ran in same error I tried everything possible but nothing seems to work , after several hit and trial I was able to fix it and in the end realize that it was all happening because of
When I installed MySQL module I never saved it (--save-dev)
And electron-packager was not able to locate it when I pack it because was not mention in package.json
A solution might locate mysql folder in node_module folder and delete
then install it npm install mysql --save-dev
or manually
add it under dependencies in package.json file
I'm trying to install gulp in my windows 8 system. When I install npm install -g, it's working fine.
After that, when I install gulp in the required folder, it throws the errors of npm install. When I again install npm in the folder it also throws the errors.
