How to set up an app iicon for TVOS using AS3 ? - actionscript-3

I have created an App for TVOS using AS3. But i am having trouble in setting up the app icon. Can anyone please suggest the steps on how to set up this icon using AS3.

You'll have to write something like this
<icon>
<image16x16>icon-16.png</image16x16>
<image32x32>icon-32.png</image32x32>
<image48x48>icon-48.png</image48x48>
<image128x128>icon-128.png</image128x128>
</icon>
Be sure to uncomment any commented line in the XML.

AFEFontManager in Adobe AIR. How to embed fonts now?

I have been building my games using FlashDevelop with Flex SDK compiler all the time, but now I need ASC 2.0 with adobe air. So I have migrated to it. But one problem came out, which I just can't find a solution for. I need to embed TTF fonts, which I used to always add additional compiler option -managers=flash.fonts.AFEFontManager for. In this new AIR SDK all I get is the next warning:
command line
Warning: 'compiler.fonts.managers' is not fully supported.
And of course fonts do not embed.
Is there a solution for it?
Here's how I embed them
[Embed(source = "VERDANA.TTF", fontName = "verdana")]
private static var Verdana: Class;
Well, the answer to this is that Adobe (for some unknown reason) have cut font pretranscoding out of ASC 2.0, so all fonts must be pretranscoded now to be able to embedded into code. The easiest way is to use Adobe Flash pro, to embed font and pack it as SWC. Then attach it to your project somewhow, and register font via Font.registerFont(Arial); (or some other class you have attached to it). Bingo! Now you can use it.
The second, more complicated, but cheaper way is to use fontswf utility from adobe

Webcam Capture/Panel JavaFx and Swing

I am using the sarxos webcam capture and I successfully have it working in Swing with a with the Webcam Panel which uses Jpanel.
I now need to use this in my Java Fx application.
So my question is, how do I put a Swing Jpanel in say an anchor pane, or something else?
I looked at Swing Node but couldn't find examples for this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

FLVPlayback without Flash CS

I'm implementing Google video Ads in flash game, using FlashDevelop. Google has a sample where they're using FLVPlayback component to display video... problem is, I don't have this class anywhere.
I've searched how to add it, but all solutions say "link to C:\Adobe\Flash CS\Components\etc" path, which obiouvsly without Flash CS I don't have... and don't want to install it just for this :)
I wonder if there is a way to get the FLVPlayback without installing Flash CS?
You can try import external adobe components swc through Flashdevelop interface.
Maybe this can help you: link
I quit and just installed the Flash Professional CC, and there linked to the component path, but it didn't work for some reason. Then I included the FLVPlayback.swf component inside my AS3 app, which compiled etc. but as I learned FLVPlayback wasn't really what I needed.
After some fumbling I made it work with Flex Spark component - VideoPlayer, used inside AS3. You can find some code on the devlist: https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/community?place=msg%2Fima-sdk%2Fc3KH11vxSd0%2FeLuYneYpch4J

Actionscript mobile library project

I'm developing an ActionScript 3.0 project for Blackberry Playbook, Android and iOS.
I have some custom UI classes, like buttons, that I want to use it in another projects.
How can I make an actionscript mobile library project?
I'm using Flash Builder 4.5, and I'm not using Flex in my code.
Using Flash Builder 4.5:
choose File > Project > New
choose "library project"
check the "include AIR features" box.
This will compile a .swc, a binary file you can distribute easily.
Including AIR in this .swc ensures that all the mobile-oriented features will be compiled as well, i.e. TouchEvent.
Flex classes, that you're not using, won't be included.
You can create ActionScript project, then add it to your mobile project's references (as a source.) Or create Flex library and link it with mobile project.

Create Windows/Macintosh Projector from Flash Builder 4

Am I able to publish a Windows/Macintosh projector from Flash Builder 4? I would like a solution that stays within the IDE, rather than having to open FlashPlayer.exe and export the EXE/App.
You can display your swf in the standalone flash player, and then create the projector from there (file -> create projector).

Closing this question...doesn't seem possible. I'm sticking with Flash CS5 to publish projectors.
I've had to do this with FB As3 projects. You have to convert your project type to Flash Professional Project: right-click project in the Package Explorer / Add/Change Project Type / Add Flash Professional Project Type. You'll have to create a fla to use as the source. Set the fla Class in the Properties panel to the main class of your project, and add all your resource libs & SWCs to Flash Professional Project: File/ActionScript Settings/Library path tab. This is important or you'll get compile errors. Seems like FB should do this for you, but it doesn't. Now in Flash professional: Commands/Export as Projector.
Many Years too late, but for future reference.
