Google Cloud SQL ER_HOST_IS_BLOCKED - mysql

i'm getting some issues connecting to Cloud SQL from Container engine...
I followed https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/container-engine-connect tutorial and it all seems to work, though I had to tweak a few things with the password/user stuff being sent.
However after several failed attempts of the container trying connect using Cloud SQL Proxy I am now seeing this error ER_HOST_IS_BLOCKED: Host '104.197.135.204' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
FLUSH HOSTS; doesn't seem to fix it.
and I'm unable to change the max_connect_errors value since root doesn't have the super privilege & it's not part of the MySQL flags customizable https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/mysql-flags
any thoughts?

Got some answers through Google Cloud SQL Slack channel. It was actually related to a different database
However, I did learn that the ER_HOST_IS_BLOCKED is reset whenever a successful connection is made so this should never be an issue

DATABASE - Is phpMyAdmin.co down?

I'm working on a project with a DB and whe are using phpMyAdmin.co for administration and I'm not able to connect with my DB administration (phpMyadmin) anymore (yesterday was the last time it worked).
I have tried to reach my host sql7 and phpMyadmin.co and they both didn't work. They where offline.
I've already looked here for the error "Too many connection" and they say I need to adjust something in my administration. But since I can't reach phpMyadmin It's not possible the do that.
Error: Authentication to host 'sql7.freemysqlhosting.net' for user 'sql7269519' using method 'mysql_native_password' failed with message: Too many connections'
Does anyone know if there are some issues with phpMyadmin.co or is there a problem with my code.

MySQL Workbench Cannot Connect to Database Server (Heroku, JawsDB)

My workbench was previously working fine until recently, but I'm now getting the following error:
I'm not sure what's relevant so I'll list out everything that I think might be relevant:
My OS is Windows and I'm using JawsDB & Heroku as my server.
I've recently tried to mess with the my.cnf file (in an attempt to enable 'LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE')
I think this is the extent to which I've used mysql_config_editor:
I've run "SET GLOBAL local_infile = true;" after logging in to my local sql.
I've checked numbers 1-4 on the error message. Here is an image of my connection to be sure:
I think I've messed with the NetBIOS at some point, and that might be a problem as discussed here, but I don't see "manage server instances" anywhere.
I'm not sure what else might be the issue here. Thanks in advance.
Edit: After trying to connect to the MySQL server through the command line, I get "ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'lyl3nln24eqcxxot.cbetxkdyhwsb.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com' (10060)", which seems to be an authentication error and not a connection error according to this link. But I'm unsure how to deal with this authentication error if it is one.
I'm not sure if this constitutes as an answer, but I've managed to establish a connection through my usual wifi (as opposed to a public school's wifi). It looks like either my security settings are different when on a public wifi or the public wifi itself had some sort of security setting that was blocking my connection.

Difference In Phpmyadmin Mysql web client and Terminal client

I got problem (#2006 Mysql server gone away) with mysql while connecting and performing some operations through web browser.
Operation Listed below:
When Executing big procedure
Importing database dump
When Access some particular tables It immediately throws "Server gone away".

Note : The above operations are works fine when I perform through terminal.
I tried some configuration as googing stated. That is set wait_timeout, max_allowed_packet. I checked for the bin_log but it is not available.
But the issues will not rectified.
What is the problem & How can I figure out & fix the issue?
what is the different between access phpmyadmin mysql server from web browser and terminal?
Where I can find the mysql server log file?
Note: If you know about any one of the above questions. Please post here. It would be helpful to trace.

Basically nothing except phpMyAdmin is limited by PHP's timeout and resource limits (limits to keep a runaway script from bogging down your entire machine for all eternity; see the docs for details of those values. In some cases, you might be authenticating through a different user account (for instance, root#localhost and root#127.0.0.1 aren't the same user), but as long as you're using a user with the same permissions the differences are minimal.
You can read more about logs in the MySQL manual, note that "By default, no logs are enabled (except the error log on Windows)".

From my research the problem is that browser have some limit to disconnect the connection i.e timeout connection. So that the above problem raised.
To resolve this problem
Go to /opt/lampp/phpmyadmin and open config.inc.php
add the command $cfg['ExecTimeLimit'] = 0;
Restart the xamp server. Now you can perform any operations.

2. Web client is differ from terminal because Terminal client will not getting timeout. Terminal client maintain the connection till the progress completed. I recommenced to use command prompt to import/export/run process by safe way.
Basically phpmyadmin will not have any log file. If you wanna see warnings and error you should configure the log file.
Configuration steps:
Go to /opt/lampp/etc/my.cnf
Add log_bin = /opt/lampp/var/mysql/filename.log
Restart the xamp server. You can get the log information.

DB2 Connect issue using Native OLE DB\MS OLEDB Provider for DB2

I downloaded and installed the driver setup file, DB2OLEDB.exe, from here:

Using the connection string that worked on another PC, I tried to create a Connection Object in an SSIS package. When I tested the connection I got this error:
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. A TCPIP socket error has occurred (10057): A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied.
Any suggestions on what the cause of this error is and how I might resolve this issue?
By the way, when I use the DB2 Configuration set up utility and test a connection from within that, I am able to successfully connect.

Could this be related to a blocked port?
If you follow all the steps illustrated here: http://www.bidn.com/blogs/PatrickLeBlanc/ssis/700/connecting-to-db2-using-ssis do you still get the same result?
Maybe a silly question, did you restart the computer after the installation?
Are you an admin user on one machine and not on the other?
You could try to verify the port connectivity with a quick telnet command:
telnet your-db-host your-db-listening-port
If it connects, that one is off the list.
Doing some research I've found two possible fixes.
The first link suggests calling BeginReceive after the EndAccept logic is complete. Are you using script code, or just using the GUI without any scripting?
TCP async sockets throwing 10057
The second link points to drivers / software on the PC. It could be that you are missing a windows update or have faulty hardware / drivers.
I think this is less likely the case since you could connect to a different machine with the same connection string(?). Can you verify this is a valid statement?

Cannot connect to SQL Server 2008 Error 18456 Login failed for user

I'm trying to connect to our SQL Server box from our web server. The only thing i've been able to find regarding the issue is to enable tcp/ip and mixed authentication.
TCP/IP is already enabled
Mixed authentication mode is selected
we already have 1 user successfully connecting to a different database so I know TCP/IP and mixed authentication are working.
Logging in as the problem user from sql manager works fine.
I get the same error creating an ODBC connection as well as a ColdFusion SQL Server data source.
According to the log files, which isn't logging all the attempts also indicates State 40, which is "Default database could not be accessed (SQL 2008)."
I've check and the default database is the one I want to open. The Schema is DBO.
Any help would be appreciated.

I apologize for not answering this sooner. To be honest I completely forgot about the question until I got a 'Notable Question' badge from it. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it won't help anyone as the problem was caused due to bad information from the network admins. They moved our SQL server to another box but did not shut down the old instance. Essentially, they gave me the old IP to connect to. Once I got the correct IP to the new box everything worked perfectly. The user I thought was connecting was an older account that was already established prior to the 'move' so the account existed on the old box.
If your box has multiple IP's on it, make sure the Cold Fusion server's IP address (that it's binded to) is allowed access to the SQL box. I've come across this problem in the past. I don't know if you're using a firewall or not to restrict access...but this was a problem I've encountered in the past.
