Aligning button links and block buttons in uncollapsed navbar - html

I want to align the button links and the "Donate" button, i.e. make them begin at the same position. I've tried using the grid system, but the result was not satisfactory.
Here is the fiddle.
<head>
<title>
Test
</title>
<!-- Bootstrap -->
<link href="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/twitter-bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet">
</head>
<body>
<div class="header">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default navbar-static-top">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right" style="margin: 0">
<li>Log In
</li>
<li>
<p class="navbar-btn">
Donate
</p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<!--/.nav-collapse -->
</div>
</nav>
</div>
</body>

If by "make them begin at the same position" you mean make both buttons left aligned, then all you have to do is simply apply text-align: left to the button (.navbar-btn .btn-danger).
.navbar-btn .btn-danger {
text-align: left;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<div class="header">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default navbar-static-top">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right" style="margin: 0">
<li>Log In
</li>
<li>
<p class="navbar-btn">
Donate
</p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
https://jsfiddle.net/azizn/mou33Lkz/

I don't know what exactly you are trying to ask here. I mean do you want "donate" to align with the link text. If that's what you want you can apply this css-
.navbar-btn a{
text-align:left;
}
.navbar-nav li>a:first-child{
padding-left:0px;//you can adjust this accordingly
}

Getting menu to be center of page with bootstrap

This might be a silly question, but I'm still struggling with it. I've created a page and I would like to make the menu center. I used the offset but that pushes the menu to the center and it makes the page able to scroll to the side.
My html
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-lg-12 col-lg-offset-2">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#bs-example-navbar-collapse-1" aria-expanded="false">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse main_menu" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li class="current">Home</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Gallery</li>
<li>Pricing</li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Two ways to do this:
simply to add the css rule text-align:center; to your unordered list.
Example CSS
.center
{
text-align: center;
}
Use the bootstrap class text-center
Both do the same thing although as you are already using Bootstrap id
go with option 2.
Your updated code snippet (example)
.center {
text-align: center;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-lg-12">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#bs-example-navbar-collapse-1" aria-expanded="false">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse main_menu" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<!-- center and text-center classes added to '<ul>' element !-->
<ul class="nav navbar-nav center text-center">
<li class="current">Home</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Gallery</li>
<li>Pricing</li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Use .text-center in your class attribute. Its already built into bootstrap.
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<div class="container text-center">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-lg-12">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#bs-example-navbar-collapse-1" aria-expanded="false">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse main_menu" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li class="current">Home</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Gallery</li>
<li>Pricing</li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
</div>
</div>

Bootstrap navbar left side content gets disappeared on reducing the window size

The problem is that the left content in the navigation bar gets disappeared when reducing the window size. I tried using the row and column (column-sm and column-xs-) class the fix the problem but it is still there.
I am also attaching the images of the bar.
In the First image the screen size is maximized
In the Second image the screen size is reduced
So I want that the content XYZ should be seen always irrespective of the screen size.
I am also giving the navigation bar html code:
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<div class="row row-content">
<div class="col-xs-11 col-sm-4">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar">
<li> <b> XYZ </b></li>
</ul>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-1 col-sm-8">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li class="active"><a href="#"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-home"
aria-hidden="true"></span> Home</a></li>
<li><a href="aboutus.html"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-info-sign"
aria-hidden="true"></span>About</a></li>
<li> <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-envelope" aria-hidden="true"></span> Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Try this.
The thing is you are using the link with class navbar-brand in the navbar-collapse so that's why it is also collapsing.
I hope the problem is solved.
Well, you just misplaced your brand anchor tab 'XYZ'. And use navbar-brand to your brand.
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#"><b> XYZ </b></a>
</div>
<div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<div class="row row-content">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li class="active"><a href="#"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-home"
aria-hidden="true"></span> Home</a>
</li>
<li><a href="aboutus.html"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-info-sign"
aria-hidden="true"></span>About</a>
</li>
<li>
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-envelope" aria-hidden="true"></span> Contact
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</nav>

My bootstrap 3 responsive navbar doesn't collapse.

I just started this project but I just can't get the navbar right. Read every same question on stack but I can't figure it out. Tried the jquery everywhere and screened my code now about a 100 times.

Hopefully somebody will see the problem.
Thanks in advance!
The problem lies in data-target="collapse navbar-collapse" which should be id of div that has items of menu. For transitions to work in Bootstrap you need jquery.js before bootstrap.js.
You should have something like this to have working navbar.
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#important-id-for-collapsing" aria-expanded="false">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Brand</a>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="important-id-for-collapsing">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li>Link #1</li>
<li>Link #2</li>
<li>Link #3</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>

Bootstrap 3 navbar issue with logo

Having an issue with bootstrap3 responsive navbar and a logo - it displays fine on a desktop and works fine. When on a mobile and collapsed, I can click the button, but the menu doesn't show up - just a horizontal scroll bar. I am stuck. Here is my HTML code
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<!-- Bootstrap links -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap-theme.min.css">
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<div class="container">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default navbar-static-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-left" href="#">
<img src="" alt="logo" id="sitelogo" />
</a>
</div>
<div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li>Home</li>
<li>What We Do</li>
<li>Case Studies</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
Add height: auto!important; to #navbar and remove position: absolute; from #navbar .nav and that should fix the problem.
have you tried removing
aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar"

Bootstrap Collapsing Navbar goes wrong on Chrome for Android

I'm using Bootstrap and I have a problem with the collapsing Navbar, it shows wrong on Chrome for Android, I tried stock navbar's without modifying and still happens (www.tasqueo.com)
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header page-scroll">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".navbar-ex1-collapse">

Yes Drip is correct,
So I came to understand one thing.
we have to use https for secured links especially for maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com
or
If you give http:// in this code the output is coming like above.
MY CODE:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.2/css/bootstrap.min.css">

<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse navbar-ex1-collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
