Is there any module or instant messages project which I can use instead to write a new one?

Can I use Electron JS to convert my web app to DESKTOP app

I have a web app developed using..(PHP,MYSQL,HTML,CSS,JS,AJAX,Datatables, bootstrapjs)
Now, I want to make a desktop version of the same app, and I came across electronjs.
The problem is I dont know whether ELECTRONJS will support all my requirements.
A breif of my requirements:
My app is responsive using datatables.net library including EDITOR for displaying the data .
the datatable plugin requires ajax calls to some API (Which I developed with PHP and hosted on a server)..
but now I want to even do all the DB Operations with electronjs so that my app can work offline.
I am not sure if I can do that with electron
- calling an API (created by same app) from HTML/frontJS
- the API Returns Json data
- the Front JS displays that data on front.
Kindly let me know if this can be done with electronjs,
Well, basically yes. You can build a desktop app like this.
But you wont be able to run it offline if it depends on a server sided API. If you can rewrite your backend Code in JavaScript and use a SQLite DB instead of a MySQL you can run this as electron App.
Keep in mind that your business logic in the frontend can always be abused because it’s not hidden from the user.
FYI: Electron only runs a browser inside it’s own App container. So there is actually no crucial difference between Browser or electron App.

Xamarin UI Testing for Android app

I have developed xamarin hybrid app (html5 , css & js) for android. Now I am working on testing my android app on xamarin test cloud using xamarin ui testing. I have implemented file upload control (html5) in my app and I want to test file upload feature on xamarin cloud for all devices. Is this possible to test file upload feature using xamarin ui testing.
Thanks in advance.
What you are trying to do doesn't make sense because with Xamarin UI test the only think you can do is moving by coordinates on a webview (the only "native component" inside your Activity).
If you developed your app with an html hybrid tool try to test your UI with Protractor or similar tools.
I wrote a little post on my blog, it's in Italian but I guess that you can get what I mean looking at the pictures:

Hybrid mobile app displaying notification in mobile app

I am developing a hybrid mobile app. I want to display notification in my application top right corner. I am using html + angularjs - front end and for backend I am using spring rest web service.
I am using cordova to just convert my frontend to native code.
Suggest me how to implement notification functionality in my frontend & backend
Note: I cannot use cordova for development. Because I cannot install it in all developers system. Only one dedicated system available with cordova installed. I can only use it for converting my html page to native
can you try this for notification alert link

Marketo integrate to custom app

I want to integrate marketo with my web app. In such way that the marketo leads or data automatically sync to app at regular interval.
My web application is in php.
I am new to marketo, Please help.
Only way this is done is by connecting to Marketo Via the Marketo REST or SOAP API, documentation to get you started can be found here:
http://developers.marketo.com/getting-started/
There are several integration platforms available today that let you connect various web apps and automate tasks through a simple interface. These cloud integration platforms use API of the web applications in the backend. All you need to do is connect the apps together and configure the settings. You can connect your own app or on-prem system to web services like Marketo, Salesforce, etc.
Here's a short blog post that shows how apps can be integrated.
https://www.built.io/blog/favorite-services-coupled-together
Let me know if this was helpful.
If you are just wanting to sync data back and forth a webhook might do it for you. That is what I currently use to sync data from Marketo to a PHP app and back to Marketo. Lots of addons to Marketo actually work this way.
Webhooks are also a lot easier/quicker to set up on the Marketo end and then on the PHP side you basically just have to handle the POST.

Paypal api for hybrid mobile app

I am in big dilemma for last few days while studying paypal API for creating an HTML5 based hybrid app that needs to use paypal api for carrying out some transactions.
What I need is I want to use some Paypal API in HTML5 based mobile app, that will finally get bundled into some native app, say for example .apk files.
The problem is :
I have not found a single link that explains that if the paypal provides any api for hybrid app.
I have read their new buttons, name value api, etc. Will any of these will work in my current application when they get deployed as an .apk for android? The thing that makes me worry is that paypal needs redirectURL, so what it will do incase of single page app?
Any links or references are welcome!
I would highly suggest you try Cordova for your App. It does HTML5 in an app format and works very well.
I don't know that you would want to make API calls but your HTML buttons would definitely work. Paypal also has a plugin that would work as well (Cordova is also called Phonegap).
PhoneGap/Cordova will be my recommendation for any hybrid mobile apps.
PayPal has an official plugin for PhoneGap with Android SDK.
