I can't correctly format a table using Bootstrap. I checked this code many times, and I don't know why it doesn't look correct.
<table class="table table-striped table-bordered">
<thead>
<th>#</th>
<th>Mecz</th>
<th>Liga</th>
<th>Kurs</th>
<th>Data Rozpoczęcia</th>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#accordion" class="clickable">
<th scope="row"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-down" aria-hidden="true"></span></td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3" style="padding: 0px;">
<div id="accordion" class="collapse" style="padding: 5px;">Hidden</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
You're code seems to be working fine aside from the th inside tbody which has been closed by a td tag. made a correction on the html code to fix that. Another thing to check is there might be another styling rules that seems to override your table styling. you can try to disable other stylesheet and just leave bootstrap to see if it will fix your issues.
Below is a working demo of your table.
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<table class="table table-striped table-bordered">
<thead>
<th>#</th>
<th>Mecz</th>
<th>Liga</th>
<th>Kurs</th>
<th>Data Rozpoczęcia</th>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#accordion" class="clickable">
<td scope="row"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-down" aria-hidden="true"></span></td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
<td>Test</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3" style="padding: 0px;">
<div id="accordion" class="collapse" style="padding: 5px;">Hidden</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

I am using Spring mvc and thymeleaf as my template engine. I have tested the fontawesome icon outside the table data tag and it works but when I put in inside the anchor tag for the table it does not display. it only displays a blue dash. I have tried different suggestions from other stack overflow questions but none have returned a working result. Here is my code:
<html>
<head>
<link> rel="stylesheet" th:href="#{webjars/font-awesome/5.15.2/css/all.css}" type="text/css"</link>
</head>
<body>
<table class="table table-bordered table-striped">
<thead class="thead-dark">
<tr>
<th>Province</th>
<th>District</th>
<th>Surname</th>
<th>Name</th>
<th>Gender</th>
<th>Nat ID</th>
<th>Phone Number</th>
<th>Category</th>
<th>Date of Birth</th>
<th>Address</th>
<th>Edit</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr th:each="ben : ${bensList}">
<td th:text="${ben.province}"></td>
<td th:text="${ben.district}"></td>
<td th:text="${ben.surname}"></td>
<td th:text="${ben.name}"></td>

Why bootstrap responsive table is not working with dir-paginate.
I have created a responsive grid HTML table by using bootstrap which is working with hard-coded data, but when my angular developer colleague used some 'dir-paginate' for retrieving data from the database then my responsive design code is not working when minimizing the browser shorter.
<div class="portlet-body flip-scroll">
<div style="overflow-x:auto;">
<table id="Tbl_SiteVisitViewAll" class="table table-bordered table-striped table-condensed flip-content">
<thead class="flip-content">
<tr>
<th>S. No.</th>
<th ng-click="Sort('Active')">Attended By</th>
<th>Edit</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody dir-paginate="S in SiteVisits |filter : FollowUp |orderBy:'key':AscOrDesc | itemsPerPage:20">
<tr>
<td>{{S.index}}</td>
<td>{{S.UpdatedBy}}</td>
<td>
<a href="#" ">
Edit
</a>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</div>
I think you are using the directive at the wrong Position. You want to repeat the <tr>-element instead of the <tbody>-element.

<div class="portlet-body flip-scroll">
<div style="overflow-x:auto;">

<thead class="flip-content">
<tr>
<th>S. No.</th>
<th ng-click="Sort('Active')">Attended By</th>
<th>Edit</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr dir-paginate="S in SiteVisits |filter : FollowUp |orderBy:'key':AscOrDesc | itemsPerPage:20">
<td>{{S.index}}</td>
<td>{{S.UpdatedBy}}</td>
<td>
<a href="#" ">

I have little problem in my web page. I use bootstrap 4 and in table box I set inside other table as in the picture below. How to make the height of table inside the same as the hieght of the box (td)?
html:
<table class="table table-bordered">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>REVERT</td>
<td>
<table class="table" style="height: 100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Name</td>
<td>LONG TEXT</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Browser:
Because the table have CSS attribute margin-bottom: 20px, you need to add an override CSS to remove this attribute:
<table class="table table-bordered">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>REVERT</td>
<td>
<table class="table table-no-margin" style="height: 100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Name</td>
<td>LONG TEXT</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<style>
.table-no-margin { margin: 0 }
</style>
This is happening because your nested table has a margin-bottom of 1rem(default bootstrap css). override it that's it.
Working example
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0-alpha.6/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-rwoIResjU2yc3z8GV/NPeZWAv56rSmLldC3R/AZzGRnGxQQKnKkoFVhFQhNUwEyJ" crossorigin="anonymous">
<table class="table table-bordered">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>REVERT</td>
<td>
<table class="table" style="height: 100%; margin-bottom:0px;">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Name</td>
<td>LONG TEXT</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
This question has been asked many times before, but I'll answer it specifically for your scenario. It's not an issue of removing padding/margins.
In order to get a 100% height table, it's container must also be 100% height. So in this case set the containing td to height: 100%...
Demo on Codeply
<td>REVERT</td>
<td style="padding:0;height: 100%;">
<table class="table" style="height: 100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Name</td>
<td>LONG TEXT</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</td>
I have one HTML table which I have kept in bootstrap's accordion, I am taking the input from user, whenever input is too long table is getting outside accordion. How can I set width the fixed, and let it expand vertically.
<table id="recordTable" class="table table-bordered table-striped">
<thead>
<tr>
<th class="col-md-1">Question Number</th>
<th class="col-md-6">Question Text</th>
<th class="col-md-3">upload Document(if any)</th>
<th class="col-md-1">Document uploaded?</th>
<th class="col-md-1">Delete</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td class="ques_id col-md-1">12 </td>
<td class="ques_text col-md-6">asd</td>
<td class="ques_file col-md-3"><input type="file" name="supportingDocument" accept="application/pdf" id="uploadSupportingDoc"></td>
<td class="fileuploadSuccess col-md-1"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-remove" aria-hidden="true"></span></td>
<td class="col-md-1">delete</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="ques_id col-md-1">14 </td>
<td class="ques_text col-md-6">asd</td>
<td class="ques_file col-md-3"><input type="file" name="supportingDocument" accept="application/pdf" id="uploadSupportingDoc"></td>
<td class="fileuploadSuccess col-md-1"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-remove" aria-hidden="true"></span></td>
<td class="col-md-1">delete</td>
</tr><tr><td class="ques_id">15</td><td class="ques_text">sdfdfgdfgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa</td><td class="ques_file"><input type="file" name="supportingDocument" accept="application/pdf" id="uploadSupportingDoc"></td><td class="fileuploadSuccess"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-remove" aria-hidden="true"></span></td><td>delete</td></tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Here is screenshot of the image.
jsfiddle link: https://jsfiddle.net/govi20/obnpjt7h/
add this property word-break: break-all; to td tag
another way add class to table outer element table-responsive
<div class="table-responsive">
<table class="table table-bordered table-striped">
...
</table>
</div>

I am trying to prepare a simple mark sheet [as an example to demonstrate my requirement]. Am planning to have a collapsible div which will render all the mark details once it is expanded.
<div class="well">
<table class="table table-bordered"
style="background:#fff; margin-bottom:10px;">
<tbody>
<tr class="inverse">
<th> ID</th>
<th colspan="2"> Name</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>1</td>
<td>ABC</td>
<td>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-toggle="collapse" href="#ID_1"
aria-expanded="false" >
Hide/Unhide
</a>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3">
<div class="collapse" id="ID_1">
<div class="well">
<table class="table table-hover table-bordered" style="background:#fff; margin-bottom:10px;">
<thead>
<tr class="inverse">
<th>Subject</th>
<th>Mark</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Physics </td>
<td>100</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
<tr class="inverse">
<th> ID</th>
<th colspan="2"> Name</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>2</td>
<td>PQR</td>
<td>
<a class="btn btn-primary" data-toggle="collapse" href="#ID_2"
aria-expanded="false" >
Hide/Unhide
</a>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3">
<div class="collapse" id="ID_2">
<div class="well">
<table class="table table-hover table-bordered" style="background:#fff; margin-bottom:10px;">
<thead>
<tr class="inverse">
<th>Subject</th>
<th>Mark</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Chemistry</td>
<td>100</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>

But in this approach, when a section is not expanded, the row which encloses the collapsible div appears like a blank row in the table - which is quite misleading.
I am sure this is not the best way to render this sort of details.Would like to know what are the alternate UI options to render these details.
Use this CSS:
td[colspan="3"] {
padding: 0;
}
