I have not found any example to work with visual studio xamarin with mysql crud using mysql connector.
It would be great to have it, I hope somebody can provide such example.
You cannot directly use MySQL on a mobile device no matter if you write your app with Xamarin and C# or Java or what ever you choose.
The typical solution would be to implement a web service around your database and consume it within your mobile app.

Have attached an image of all the packages and references I am trying to build an ASP.NET MVC Web Application on Visual Studio 2019 Community for Mac, but I am getting these errors. I tried a lot to resolve these, but couldn't find any answers online. It would be great if someone can help me figure these out.
This project was previously developed and build on Windows, but the same project does not build properly on Mac, and now I am getting these errors. One reason could be ASP.NET having different frameworks, but not sure which framework would be suitable for these packages.
Adding another picture, I have updated the ASP.NET framework to 4.7.2 from version 2.0 click to view image
And I left with very few errors only "System.Web.Entity" picture attached
System.Web.entity is for .NET Framework and Asp.Net MVC project is not cross-platform.
So,it's not possible to build ASP.NET MVC projects on the Mac that aren't based on .NET Core or Mono.ASP.NET 4.x is not something officially supported like ASP.NET Core on macOS.
If you want to use ASP.NET 4.x, stick to Windows. If you want to use macOS and VS for Mac, use ASP.NET Core. There is almost no gray area in between to discuss.
Another suggestion is that you could use virtual machine to run windows inside Mac.
Refer to Is it possible to develop ASP.NET MVC applications in Visual Studio for Mac?
I'm totally new to the windows phone 8.1 app development.
I'm trying to develop a simple app with a database using visual studio 2013. It is not a silverlight app.
my app just have a text field and a button. And i have a MySQL database in a local server(WAMP).
I need to get a input from the text field and store it in the database.
First thing that I want to know is it possible to do?
If it is possible I would be very grateful if you could provide a step by step guide or a link where i can learn about this.
If it is not possible what are the other ways that I can try to store my input in a database?
Local storage
I'm guessing you're looking for a way to store structured data locally on the phone. AFAIK, MySQL is not supported on Windows Phone (MySQL is big, runs as a server, and it wouldn't be possible or practical to "install" it onto a phone). Instead what Microsoft endorses is to use SQLite. You'll first need to download the SQLite library as a Visual Studio extension. Then you'll need to install something like SQLitePCL (from NuGet) which essentially wraps the native SQLite library so that it is accessible from .NET languages. Make sure you add both references to your project. SQLite stores a database as a file that you can put in the local storage for your app.
Remote storage
I'm not sure if it's directly possible to connect to a remove MySQL server from a WP app. Usually you'd access a remote database through a webserver that exposes an API for you to use (e.g. a REST API). You can then send data to the webserver via a HTTP POST request, and then your webserver will store the data in the database. This is a big topic, and involves knowledge of server-side programming such as ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Django, PHP, etc. This topic is too broad for me to give you specifics on how to do this. See this answer.
I have successfully created Web Services from MySQL Database using Netbeans tutorial. However, I would like to develop similar web services using Eclipse IDE. Why Eclipse IDE? There are two reasons for that:
1) This is because i am using Tomcat 7.0 and JEE6. Unfortunately, NetBeans 7.0.1 implements Facade design pattern while using their “Create Web services from Database …” Wizard and it does not have a plugin for Tomcat 7 and EE6.
2) The NetBeans Wizard is helpful but does not help me understand details about using JDBC bridge, managing connections to MySQL DB and creating services to access the DB. Additionally, i want to add authorization for my services so that only registered users will be able to access my web services.
There's a very clear tutorial for building JAX-RS services in the Jersey user guide.
I found this tutorial that contains Restful web services using java and mysql in eclipse. It might be what you were looking for though it is a very simple tutorial. Check it out.

I'm using the WebDeploy tool from Visual Studio 2010 since a few weeks and really like it. I was now trying to deploy my database as well using the 'Package/Publish SQL' tab. However, my current project uses a MySQL database and it seems that web deploy from VS is only compatible using MSSQL (sigh).
So my question is: can I get it to deploy my MySQL database? I know there is a custom 'dbFullMySql' provider, but not sure if this can integrate into VS2010. Thanks.
could this be of help to you http://blogs.iis.net/msdeploy/archive/2009/04/29/changes-to-the-custom-provider-for-mysql-dbfullmysql.aspx
I have been using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition. Originally, I made a website with a MySQL back-end. Then I discovered the .Net web authentication, and moved to MS Access as I could, with some modification, make the web authentication work (but not all the features). For a future release of my site, I moved to MS SQL as it supported all of the features of the .Net web authentication. However, my host does not support MS SQL, my host supports MS Access and MySQL.
If I get Visual Studio 2008 Standard, with it have better integration with MySQL, to the point that all features of web authentication and using the development environment to make changes to the database are supported? Are there thrid-party tools or modifications that I can make to get things to that level of integration?
Or, do I have to move to a host that supports MS SQL?
We run a .NET environment here but using MySQL as our backend (though our software is applications, not web apps).
The MySql Net Connector is basically the MySQL version of the System.Data namespace in .NET (with nearly identical functionality/naming except for the MySql prefixes). So, as far as I have seen while working with it, anything that you can do via those namespaces, you can do via the connector.
As for IDE integration, I don't know. I use MySql Administrator and SQLYog to manage/work with the db.
You could try MySQL's .NET connector, though it's only a development version
