Visual Studio Code (1.74.3 (Universal) (MacOS Ventura 13.2a) CSS Linking Error

I'm new to Stack Overflow and I'm a bit familiar with HTML & CSS.
So I've been trying to get my CSS to work with my HTML for a week or 2, and this is my file structure before VSC "Solved" my problem: TestProj/HTML/index.html (for my HTML) TestProj/Resources/CSS/test.css (for CSS)
I'm using the following Boiler for HTML https://textbin.net/4hzjievpq0 (the reason there is no css link is because that is a boiler generator, I've put the link in my code so that's not the issue)
But whenever I "Go Live" (Extension in VSC to view in chrome) it displays it with no custom fonts or anything, but when I do background-color in the html file NOT THE CSS it works.
When I follow the css link in the html file it says there is no such file, and asks to create a file, then it creates a CSS file in the html hierarchy and then it somehow works?
I thought the CSS file was supposed to be in a different folder.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks,

How do I make my style.scss(#import “variables “, #import “globals”, and #import “header”) to communicate with my stylesheet?

Im trying to learn sass and JavaScript using VS Code. I created an app folder that holds my js folder which contains my script.js and scss folder that contains my _globals.scss. _header.scss, _variables.scss, and style.scss. I created a dist folder that contains my style.css and style.css.map. I have my html linked to my dist/style.css but I cannot get any of my pages to connect to my html page. I have the #import variables, globals, and header set in my style.scss page but the only styles I can add to my webpage is from the html document itself.
I’ve tried very little because I’m new to web development. Working from a MacBook, I downloaded homebrew, git, and a couple other apps I saw on YouTube. I tried changing my #imports to #use and adding them directly to the style.css but that did not help.
I was expecting by downloading any of those files would get my pages to communicate with each other.
Are you trying to import the .scss files on your styles.css? If so, this is not the right way to work with sass.
To be able to "transform" the .scss files into .css, you have to compile these files using the CLI (command-line/terminal).
This video shows how to do this procedure.
It the above is not the case, could you please send us screenshots of what you're trying to do, it will be really helpful to help you to fix this issue.
Create a new file in CSS(type),
then link that file using the <link> tag in your HTML page using the address of the newly created .css file.

Metronic generated layout don't see css styles

i am trying to generate metronic layout with layout builder, but when I try to open index.html I just see this:
screenshot
It seems to me like it can't see css styles
When I open just html demo, it works well.. I did by tutorial, I generated assets by gulp, so I don't know what to do now..
Btw. using Mac
Any help? Thanks!
You can get the generated assets folder from the downloaded zip file.
Copy from /html/demo1/dist/assets into exported layout builder folder.
You don't need to rebuild the assets using gulp if you don't modify any assets file from the src folder.

Can I bundle partial HTML and linked CSS into one file using node.js

I work on a project where I only have access to the text editor in CMS, so I create HTML files on local and copy the piece of HTML(content area), CSS and scripts to the CMS editor, is there a way I can use maybe node.js and set up something that can build a file with merged CSS and HTML(content are only) every time I make a change to CSS or HTML.
grunt-processhtml was the answer, I was able to combine CSS, chunk of HTML and JS into one file using this.

How to get bootstrap to work in Eclipse?

I am trying to get bootstrap to work with eclipse Dynamic Web Project (Helios). However when I run (Tomcat v7) on the server I get regular html. I think there must be an error with the link. I downloaded bootstrap and imported the file system in WebContent, there is a bootstrap folder (with css, img, js) inside WebContent.
I have tried:
"href="boostrap/css/bootstrap.css". "href="WebContent/boostrap/css/bootstrap.css". "href="css/bootstrap.css". "href=bootstrap.css".
I also copied the bootstrap folder outside of WebContent and tried all of the above. What's wrong?
The code I used is exactly (copied and pasted) the source from http://getbootstrap.com/examples/starter-template/#
with the href modified. I did not put it here because I'm getting weird formatting from StackOverflow.
Could it be that you spelled boostrap instead of bootstrap when using "href...?
I am getting the same problem. When I am using eclipse server to run webpage(using bootstrap) then it doesn't work.
But if i go to the webroot or webcontent folder and open the webpage then bootstrap works fine.
I hope you have downloaded jquery.min.js.
