Sort data in inner join query - mysql

select Distinct
_Ad.ad_id, _Ad.Ad_Name,
ID.Image_Path, VM.year,
VD.Vehicle_Transformation, VD.Vehicle_Fuel_Type, VD.Vehicle_Mileage
from
_Ad
order by
Ad_Date_Created
inner join
_Image_Details ID on ID.ad_id = _Ad.ad_id
inner join
_Vehicle_Model VM on VM.vehicle_model_id = _AD.vehicle_model_id
inner join
_Vehicle_Details VD on _ad.ad_id = VD.ad_id;
I keep getting an error that multi part data can not be bound. Please help to correct query

Try this:
select Distinct
_Ad.ad_id, _Ad.Ad_Name,
ID.Image_Path, VM.year,
VD.Vehicle_Transformation, VD.Vehicle_Fuel_Type, VD.Vehicle_Mileage
from
_Ad
inner join
_Image_Details ID on ID.ad_id = _Ad.ad_id
inner join
_Vehicle_Model VM on VM.vehicle_model_id = _AD.vehicle_model_id
inner join
_Vehicle_Details VD on _ad.ad_id = VD.ad_id;
order by
Ad_Date_Created

The syntax of your SQL statement is wrong. An ORDER BY clause should come after the JOIN's

Why the output values are repeating? what should be the right query?

This is the query i wrote, but when i execute the query the values are repeating. so help me to write the right query

INNER JOIN divison di
ON d.divison_id = di.id
INNER JOIN divisons division
ON d.divisons_id = division.id
INNER JOIN escomdivison e
ON e.district_id = d.id
WHERE di.id = 3;
I think you need to remove the line
INNER JOIN divisons division on d.divisons_id=division.id
since you already have division table written on the one line above for the INNER JOIN conditions, and those(alias and table) are confused among them.

MySQL Subquery Optimization with shared subquery

From these tables I have written this subquery and its giving results as per requirements.
Needs expert guidence to improve this query or if we can also be able to use join for these tables.
Query:
select ps,st from pac where con in (select
config from config where logi in
( select id from logicalnode where physi
in (select id from ysicalnode where mas =11)));
SELECT
payloadstr
,starttime
FROM packetdb.packet
INNER JOIN packetdb.configuration
ON packetdb.packet.configid = packetdb.configuration.idconfig
INNER JOIN packetdb.logicalnode
ON packetdb.configuration.idconfig = packetdb.logicalnode.id
INNER JOIN packetdb.physicalnode
ON packetdb.logicalnode.physicalnodeid = packetdb.physicalnode.id and packetdb.physicalnode.macaddress=117769729
You could try using exists:
select payloadstr,starttime from packetdb.packet p
where exists(select 1 from packetdb.configuration c
where p.configid = id
and exists(select 1 from packetdb.logicalnode l
where c.logicalnodeid = id
and exists(select 1 from packetdb.physicalnode
where macaddress = 117769729
and l.physicalnodeid = id)
Using Left join
select payloadstr,starttime
from packet
left join Configuration on Configuration.IDconfig = packet.configID
left join logicalnode on logicalnode.ID = Configuration.logicalnodeid
left join physicalnode on physicalnode.ID = logicalnode.physicalnodeid
where macaddress =117769729
You can try below - using JOIN
select payloadstr,starttime
from packetdb.packet a inner join packetdb.configuration b on a.configid=b.idconfig
inner join packetdb.logicalnode c on logicalnodeid=c.id
inner join packetdb.physicalnode d on physicalnodeid=d.id
where macaddress =117769729
Try this
select pa,sta
from
pack p
INNER JOIN
confi c
ON
p.confi = c.idco
INNER JOIN
logice l
ON
c.logic = l.id
INNER JOIN
physiode pn
ON
l.physicalnodeid = pn.id
WHERE macaddress =123

Errors While Using IF statement in sql query

I am trying to make a query, which returns tipo_id from a table, depending on the value of this I want to join with another table, for example if tipo_id is 1 I want to join with table called p_read if tipo_id i want to join tv_read
this is what I tried to do.
SELECT ec.id,ec.estado,fv.id,fv.num_factura,fv.importe,fv.iva,fv.total,fv.fecha_consumo_inicio,fv.fecha_consumo_fin,
fv.fecha_factura, fv.fichero, c.total, l.tipo_id, lp.id_consumo FROM aldroges8.factura_venta fv
INNER JOIN aldroges8.lectura l ON fv.id=l.facturaVenta_id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.factura_cobro fc ON fc.facturaventa_id = fv.id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.cobros c ON c.id=fc.cobros_id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.estado_cobros ec ON ec.id = c.estado
IF (l.tipo_id=1)
INNER JOIN aldroges8.lectura_potencia lp ON l.id=lp.id
ELSE IF (l.tipo_id =3)
INNER JOIN aldroges8.lectura_tv_gas lp ON lp.id=l.id
WHERE fv.factura_enviada=1 AND fv.suministro_id=:id_contrato ORDER BY fv.fecha_factura DESC;
But i am getting this error.
SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'IF (l.tipo_id==1)
INNER JOIN aldroges8.lectura_potencia lp ON l.id=lp.id
ELSE' at line 7
So I want to know if there is a way on doing this if staments on a query, or do I need to make another query with tipo_id, thanks in advance
SELECT ec.id,ec.estado,fv.id,fv.num_factura,fv.importe,fv.iva,fv.total,fv.fecha_consumo_inicio,fv.fecha_consumo_fin,
fv.fecha_factura, fv.fichero, c.total, l.tipo_id,
/* Used case when statement to get the required result in that column */
case when l.tipo_id=1 then lp_1.id_consumo
when l.tipo_id=3 then lp_3.id_consumo end as id_consumo
FROM aldroges8.factura_venta fv
INNER JOIN aldroges8.lectura l ON fv.id=l.facturaVenta_id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.factura_cobro fc ON fc.facturaventa_id = fv.id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.cobros c ON c.id=fc.cobros_id
INNER JOIN aldroges8.estado_cobros ec ON ec.id = c.estado
left join aldroges8.lectura_potencia lp_1 ON l.id=lp_1.id
left join aldroges8.lectura_tv_gas lp_3 ON lp_3.id=l.id
WHERE fv.factura_enviada=1 AND fv.suministro_id=:id_contrato ORDER BY fv.fecha_factura DESC;
I would write this with the condition in the on clause and then use coalesce() in the select:
SELECT ec.id, ec.estado, fv.id, fv.num_factura, fv.importe, fv.iva,
fv.total, fv.fecha_consumo_inicio, fv.fecha_consumo_fin,
fv.fecha_factura, fv.fichero, c.total, l.tipo_id,
coalesce(lp_1.id_conumo, lp_3.id_consumo) as id_consumo
FROM aldroges8.factura_venta fv INNER JOIN
aldroges8.lectura l
ON fv.id = l.facturaVenta_id INNER JOIN
aldroges8.factura_cobro fc
ON fc.facturaventa_id = fv.id INNER JOIN
aldroges8.cobros c
ON c.id = fc.cobros_id INNER JOIN
aldroges8.estado_cobros ec
ON ec.id = c.estado LEFT JOIN
aldroges8.lectura_potencia lp_1
ON l.id = lp_1.id AND l.tipo_id = 1 LEFT JOIN
aldroges8.lectura_tv_gas lp_3
ON lp_3.id = l.id AND l.tipo_id = 3
WHERE fv.factura_enviada = 1 AND
fv.suministro_id = :id_contrato
ORDER BY fv.fecha_factura DESC;
The difference between doing the comparison in the ON verses in a CASE expression may seem subtle, but it can be important.
If there are multiple matches in either table, then putting the condition in the SELECT will result in duplicate rows.

SQL query wrong result

i have this query:
SELECT `completed`.`ID` AS `ID`,`completed`.`level` AS `level`,`completed`.`completed_in` AS `completed_in`, COUNT(1) AS `right_answers_num`
FROM `completed`
INNER JOIN `history` ON `history`.`ID` = `completed`.`ID`
INNER JOIN `questions` ON `questions`.`ID` = `history`.`question`
WHERE `completed`.`student_id` = '1' AND `questions`.`answer` = `history`.`answer`
GROUP BY `completed`.`ID`
ORDER BY `completed`.`completed_in` DESC
what i need is to get info of each test in completed table (id,level,completed_in,right_answer_num)
the problem with that query is that if there is no one right answer(history.answer = questions.answer) then it doesn't return the row, while it should return the row(id,level,completed_in) and the right_answer_num(counter) should be zero..
please help me,, thanks ahead.
SELECT
completed.ID AS ID,
completed.level AS level,
completed.completed_in AS completed_in,
COUNT(questions.answer) AS right_answers_num
FROM completed
INNER JOIN history ON history.ID = completed.ID
LEFT JOIN questions ON questions.ID = history.question AND questions.answer = history.answer
WHERE
completed.student_id = '1'
GROUP BY
completed.ID
ORDER BY completed.completed_in DESC
use a LEFT OUTER JOIN intead of an INNER JOIN.
The second inner join is what's causing rows with no record in the questions table to be omitted. An inner join will only return rows that have data in all corresponding tables. Change the second inner join to a left join like so:
SELECT
completed.ID AS ID,
completed.level AS level,
completed.completed_in AS completed_in,
COUNT(questions.answer) AS right_answers_num
FROM completed
INNER JOIN history ON history.ID = completed.ID
LEFT JOIN questions ON questions.ID = history.question
WHERE completed.student_id = 1
GROUP BY completed.ID
ORDER BY completed.completed_in DESC

Trying to add a subquery to a join query

I have a query like this
SELECT
tbl_products.*,
GROUP_CONCAT(tags.name)
FROM
tbl_page_collections_products,
(SELECT page_collection_name as name
FROM tbl_page_collections
LEFT JOIN tbl_pages ON tbl_page_collections.page_id = tbl_pages.page_id
WHERE tbl_pages.page_name LIKE '%friends%') tags
LEFT JOIN tbl_page_collections
ON tbl_page_collections.page_collection_id = tbl_page_collections_products.colID
LEFT JOIN tbl_pages
ON tbl_page_collections.page_id = tbl_pages.page_id
LEFT JOIN tbl_products
ON tbl_products.product_id = tbl_page_collections_products.product
WHERE
tbl_pages.page_name LIKE '%friends%'
The error I get is Unknown column 'tbl_page_collections_products.colID in on clause but I don't get that error when the subquery isn't there and that column exists in that table.
Is something conflicting?
tbl_page_collections_products is not in you subquery from clause. Maybe this is what you want:
SELECT
tbl_products.*,
GROUP_CONCAT(tags.name)
FROM
tbl_products,
(SELECT page_collection_name as name
FROM tbl_page_collections
,tbl_page_collections_products
LEFT JOIN tbl_pages ON tbl_page_collections.page_id = tbl_pages.page_id
WHERE tbl_pages.page_name LIKE '%friends%') tags
LEFT JOIN tbl_page_collections
ON tbl_page_collections.page_collection_id = tbl_page_collections_products.colID
LEFT JOIN tbl_pages
ON tbl_page_collections.page_id = tbl_pages.page_id
LEFT JOIN tbl_products
ON tbl_products.product_id = tbl_page_collections_products.product
WHERE
tbl_pages.page_name LIKE '%friends%'
