Until recently when I have the dev-tools open in Chrome, a little window-size display would appear in the top-corner of the window. This has now stopped appearing. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to get it back?
I have a feeling that Chrome may have updated recently as I know notice a .cls button in the styles tab when using the element inspector. Am now on Version 49.0.2623.87 m (I have seen there was an update on the 8th March)
Thanks

What has happened to Google Chrome Developer Console?
My error messages are being minimized so that I can't see them. All I get is a pink line.
I have tried resetting to the default settings.
Once I do this the console is back to normal.
But as soon as I refresh browser page, it's back to the single pink line.
I've tried fiddling around with the filters but this doesn't work either. Also the little filter button is gone now.
Here is my before and after settings once I click the reset button. No difference here that I can tell.
Here is my browser version.
Has anyone else had this happen? It's driving me crazy resetting between every refresh...
Looks like Google fixed this with a browser update. It doesn't behave like before.
Does anyone else have the problem that since yesterday in Chrome the dimensions of the browserwindow aren't shown anymore?
Could this come from an Chrome Update or is it a problem only of my browser?
I find this issue to. Because I use it every day it's critical for me. This may help you:

But I think it's just a f***up and they roll back it soon.
In version 48.0.2564.116 the dimensions are shown in the page only while I am actively resizing the window with the developer tools open -- they disappear after a short delay. Version 49.0.2623.87 (current as I post this) removes this tooltip.
You can force the dimensions to be visible at all times by turning on "Device Mode" (the iPhone-looking button second from the left in the developer toolbar.)
When I open Developer tools and turn on device mode, and click any drop down on the page chrome renders options with minimum width and rest of the area as black.
I dont know what is causing this error. I tried to update my graphics card driver, but problem still exists.
After some googling, got to know that this is an issue in Chrome browser itself. Refer the following link for more info - https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=553274&q=status%3Aunconfirmed&sort=-id&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Iteration%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified&num=1000
When I bring up the dev tools in Chrome Canary, it just appears as a black box. I have it set to display in another window rather than overlaying the actual page, but as said, the inside of this window is just black. If I hover the mouse over it, it highlights the elements on the page accordingly.
I have tried: Looking for settings to dock it back into the screen, restarting CC, restarting my computer, reverting to default settings in the CC menu. None of this has changed a thing unfortunately.
EDIT: Has been resolved with update to version 33.0.1707.0
Same thing happened to me, starting sometime in the past two days. I tried everything you did and also tried reinstalling Chrome Canary, no dice. My solution was to dock the developer tools back to the main browser window by clicking in the upper-right corner of the black box, where I think the dock icon usually is.
I'm developing a website and today Google chrome has decided to show this big white box.
A week ago i didn't have this problem and i haven't changed the code since.
I don't have the problem in other browsers(ie and firefox).
Actually seems to be a problem with this monitor. I'm extending my laptop display and if i have the browser open on the laptop display there's no problem. But having it open on the monitor i get this big white box.
The only way i can get it to disappear on the monitor is if i zoom to 150%+.
Chrome is updated i even tried uninstalling and re installing.
Just curious has anyone else had this problem?
Any Fixes?
there is the image of what it looks like

if you have download keeper enabled in extensions it's the reason for the white box atleast on mine anyways i just got rid of it and then chrome downloaded it again just get ri of it when it happens should fix your problem
