Xamarin.forms maps offline - google-maps

I want to use xamarin.forms maps offline with google maps.
I know how to do it in xamarin for android - using MapTypeNone, and loading the my own TileProvider.
Is there a way to do it also in xamarin.forms instead of using different code for android and IOS ?

You can use a Dependency service/Custom Renderer to separate that code, not sure if it is possible to use Google Maps but there are other options like:
https://components.xamarin.com/view/nutiteqmapssdk
and
iOS and Basic offline app
Hope this helps.

react-native-maps: gray map after apk build

I have a RN app that uses react-native-maps. I was able to successfully render the Map in the Android and iOS Emulators, but when I build it out (using Expo), the app works but the Map renders as a Gray screen with the Google logo on the bottom left-hand corner.
I have an API key and have enabled all of the essential APIs in the
Google Developer Console.
I have only tested this on a physical Android device.
So,
What am I missing?
Should I consider using Mapbox instead?
EDIT:
I did not add anything to a build.gradle or anything of the sort from the Android Studio end; just front-end stuff. Is this required?
I face same problem of greyed map, when use LocationView of react-native-location-view. Greyed Map resolved by Enable Maps SDK for Android. Follow as shown in
Enable Maps SDK for Android in your developer console

Google maps javascript geolocation api isnt working on mobile devices

I am building a hybrid mobile app using the ionic framework utilizing the google maps javascript api with geolocation. I followed the sample code from their site and the app runs fine when i run on the browser but when i test on my android device, the map loads perfectly but the geolocation does not work at all. Any help/tips?
i things you used ngCordova Plugins
its plugins used for getting current location of device [lat, lng] and its latlng to display in your map.
thanks and good luck.

jquery mobile + Google Maps + Geolocation

I'm creating mobile version of company site and I wonder if there is possible to make navigation snippet that will be part of page, opened with mobile browser such as WebKit or Safari (Android, Windows, iOS devices) and will display route from current to fixed place (compay office)?
Something like navigation. All with jquery mobile + Google Maps API and...? maybe is something else needed?
Some advises?
well you can use the GOOGLE MAPS API V3. check the Google Code Playground.
You can also check Docs APIV3
You'll also need to make use of Google Maps Direction Service
You can get your current location using html5 directly. Geolocation in HTML5.
That should definitely work with jQuery Mobile and the Google Maps API. It has been done before by other users. A great place to look for more information on using the two together is the jQuery Mobile forum - http://forum.jquery.com/jquery-mobile

How to link to native Google Maps iOS app from mobile Safari browser

I read somewhere (I've forgotten where) that it is now possible to link to the native Google Maps iOS app from the mobile Safari browser by using the maps:// protocol and that the app will now allow the importation of a KML file. I have tried several different linking URLs but I can't seem to get any of them to work. Does anyone know the correct format of this URL using the maps:// protocol with a KML file? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
As far as I see there is no such option.
Apple Developer Documentation on Map Links
You can start the Google Maps iOS native app by just redirecting to the Google Maps website:
Cupertino
Regarding the KML the native app will not pick it up (from the link above):
The rules for creating a valid map link are as follows: ...
A parameter cannot be q=* if the value is a URL (so KML is not picked up). ...
Apple URL Scheme Reference: Map Links
http://maps.apple.com/?q=cupertino
Note: since iOS 6, you have to convert all map requests from "maps.google.com" to "maps.apple.com" for the iOS map to activate.
Starting in iOs 6, you should link via HTTP to maps.apple.com, such as:
http://maps.apple.com/?daddr=San+Francisco,+CA&saddr=cupertino
If accessed from a non-iOs device, that link currently redirects to the equivalent Google Maps search. In the future, Apple might do a web-based map viewer of their own.

how to integrate google map in mobile website

I went through google maps website.I got code form there for Google map Api.But this is not working on my mobile.I think javascript is not working. What is exact way to integrate google map for mobile browser ?
Thanks
An example using PhoneGap and jQuery Mobile is here
Today, almost mid-end to high-end mobile web browser support javascript. I think you don`t need to afraid to implement google api on it. But there is an alternatve way using google static map, it showing image and use no javascript. you can try it out here
