I can't find the MySQL service on Bluemix - mysql

I can't find the MySQL service on Bluemix.
My space zone is in sydney.

The mysql service is experimental and you can find it in the Bluemix Labs Catalog. If you want to use a service from the official catalog you can use ClearDB (it is basically MySQL). However as you can see from the links above, both those services are not currently available in Sydney region. You could switch to US or UK from your Bluemix Dashboard.

Is there any tool in GCP to patch the Compute Instance?

I have some SUSE, RedHat and Cent OS VM's in Google Cloud. Now I want to patch these servers. Is there any GCP in-built tool or third party tool need to use ?
#Jannatul, you've asked about "GCP in-built tool or third party tool" in your question.
The answer to the first part of the question regards "GCP in-built tool" is "No". The OS deployment images in GCE are kept updated, but after deployment it's up-to-you how to keep VM instances patched. At this time Google does not provide any cloud service for that purpose since such a tool is out of scope of IaaS that the GCE actually is.
As for the second part ("third party tool"), an approach to Linux patching is not GCP-specific, it should be similar to that you use in the private datacenter. Since you use commercial Linux'es, including Red Hat and Suse, that vendors' solutions could work for your needs: for example Suse Manager or Red Hat Satellite (both originate from Spacewalk and support various Linux clients), as well as open-source Spacewalk Project solution itself.
GCP now has a built-in VM patching service, a part of VM Manager suite: https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/os-patch-management
Users can get patch compliance reports and perform manual or automatic scheduled updates of Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, SLES, Windows VMs.
Service is free for the first 100 VMs.

Adding MYSQL to Cloud Foundry and using it as a service

I am new to cloud foundry service, and wondering if the community can help to answer my question.
I have a simple WordPress app pushed to Cloud Foundry cf push Wordpress which has backend MYSQL servers. I have been asked to add MYSQL as a service within Cloud Foundry, but currently this does not exist.
When i perform cf marketplace there is not an option for MYSQL.
Simply put how do i get MYSQL on Cloud Foundry for my app to use it as a service.
Thanks
Here are instructions how to deploy a MySQL bosh release to your environment and register a service broker for it so that it appears in cf marketplace: https://github.com/cloudfoundry/cf-mysql-release

Advantages of using Bluemix's SQL Database service vs ClearDB MySQL on Bluemix App

I have a bluemix app that is currently setup with the ClearDB MySQL 3rd party bluemix service through PHP. The service works well, however I noticed that there is a limit of 5mb of space for the free version (you can upgrade from there). I recently looked into Bluemix's own SQL Database service and it offers up to 100mb of space free per instance running on Bluemix. What are the advantages of the ClearDB service? To me it seems that Bluemix's own service would be a lot more cost effective. What are the considerations?
Thank you,

They are based on different RDBMS: ClearDB is based on MySQL while SQL Database is powered by IBM DB2, so that should be the first thing to consider when choosing between them. For example if you are deploying an existing application that works on MySQL you may want to use the same DBMS.
If the underlying technology is not important (or you don't have any constraint on it) please note that, as you can see in the Bluemix Catalog, ClearDB is a Third Party while SQL Database is an IBM service. This means that the latter is developed by IBM and you can get a quicker support when experiencing issues with your database.

Cloud Integration to more than one enterprise end-point

I need to connect a Bluemix organisation to multiple external systems.
Can I use one Cloud Integration service Basic connector on Bluemix to connect to many on-premises end-points?
Yes, you can use a single Basic connector to connect to multiple endpoints.
After you follow the instructions to get your connector set up, you'll want to click the arrow at the far right under the detail column:
From there, you'll be taken to a page that lists the endpoints setup with the basic connector. You can click the add endpoints button to add as many endpoints as you would like.
Keep in mind, even though you can connect to multiple endpoints with a Basic connector, you can only have one Basic connector at a given time.
Cloud Integration depends on your end points.
If you have ssh endpoint Basic Connector works but it has limitation of 5 Connection free. There after you are charged in Bluemix.
Where as if you are endpoints are API's suggested connector is Standard Connector as it works on https.

IBM Tivoli Analytics on Bluemix

I was wondering if you can somehow connect your Tivoli Analytic tools on an external machine to the Bluemix Platform?
Not sure about your exact requirement but Bluemix provides option to integrate with any on-premise system like database , web services. Similarly I guess you can try connecting Tivoli tool. Try this url and also pls. provide more details on your usecase scenario.
