.navbar.navbar-default.navbar-fixed-top {
margin: 6px 10px 0px 5px;
}
#blue{background-color:blue !important; height: 57px;}
.navbar-collapse.in,
.navbar-collapse.collapsing {
clear: left;
}
.navbar.navbar-default.navbar-fixed-top {
margin: 6px 10px 0px 5px;
}
#blue{background-color:blue !important; height: 57px;}

You have to put =(equals to/ assignment operator) with each class attribute
it should be
<div class="col-lg-3 logo"><img src="images/Logo.png" alt"logo"></div>
<div class="col-lg-6 menu">

Text wont center on phone

I have a weird problem here, the text and images aren't aligning to the center, I've been coding this site from scratch and it works pretty well when I test it on the computer, but when I try it on the phone it doesn't work. Here are the pictures (From the computer and the phone)
---------COMPUTER
Computer's resized Firefox windows 1
---------PHONE
Phone's screenshot 1 - Chrome
Here's my code, I've been using bootstrap and normal HTML, CSS and basic PHP and JavaScript
<nav class="navbar navbar-default nav_menu_head">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row">
<nav class="navbar navbar-default nav_menu_head">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row">
<div class="navbar-header">
<div class="col-md-6 col-xs-10">
<a href="index.php" class="navbar-brand" rel="home">
<img class="img-responsive logo" src="img/logo2.png"></a>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-2">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle navbar_colapse" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#myNavbar">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse col-md-6 text-justify-xs" id="myNavbar">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right nav_menu_head" >
<li ><a href="index.php#empresa" >EMPRESA</a></li>
<li >PRODUCTO</li>
<li>CONTACTO</li>
<!-- <li >SOPORTE TÉCNICO</li -->
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
And here´s the CSS
.text_box{width: 100%;
height: 200px;}
.navbar-header{float: none;}
.text-justify-xs {
text-align: center;
}
.img-responsive.menu_image{margin: 0 auto;}
.collapse.navbar-collapse.col-md-6.text-justify-xs {border-width: 0px;}
This looks like a mismatch between the display property values on your ul. It's not uncommon for browsers to have different default values. Try setting display: block on your .nav_menu_head.
try :
.text-justify-xs ul li a {
text-align: center;
}
in your css

Overlapping profile picture in the middle

Currently i have the following Header(Template from Bootstrap for Responsive Purposes):-
But it's not very nice to have a such big navigation pane, so now i want to place the Profile Picture in the middle of the Border like this(The circle should be the profile picture):-
The question is, how can I achieve this without using a absolute position which would ruin my responsive design? (It should be a proportion of 50/50)
Edit: The HTML Code for the Profile Picture is:-
<div id="nav_profile">
<div class="profile_picture">
<img src="assets/img/profilepicture.png" alt="Profile Picture">
<figcaption><i class="ion-android-add"></i></figcaption>
<a id="profile_hover_txt" href="profile.php">View Profile</a>
</div>
</div>
The CSS Part is just for the transitions and the styling for the Picture.
Try The Following Code....
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar-collapse-1">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand brand" href="#">Custom Logo</a>
</div>
<!-- Collect the nav links, forms, and other content for toggling -->
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-left">
<li>Home</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Services</li>
<li>Works</li>
<li>News</li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li> <img width="50px" height="50px" class="img-circle" src="http://i.imgur.com/bQ6Rroe.jpg" alt=""></li>
</ul>
</div>
<!-- /.navbar-collapse -->
</div>
</nav>
You can simply set the height of the picture to 200%. The float: right; and width: 100px; are just in my code so it works without an image but the principal works without them.
#menu {
width: 100%;
height: 50px;
background: #000000;
}
#pic {
float: right;
width: 100px;
height: 200%;
background: yellow;
}
<div id="menu">
<div id="pic"></div>
</div>

Bootstrap with collapsable nav - what I get doesn't match the docs

Using the following code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Bootstrap 101 Template</title>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<!-- Bootstrap -->
<link href="css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen">
<style>
div[class^='span'] {
border: 1px solid black;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div class="navbar navbar-static-top navbar-inverse">
<div class="navbar-inner">
<div class="container-fluid">
<a class="btn btn-navbar" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".nav-collapse">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</a>
<a class="brand" href="#">Bootstrap Test</a>
<ul class="nav pull-right nav-collapse collapse">
<li class="active">Home</li>
<li class="divider-vertical"></li>
<li>About</li>
<li class="divider-vertical"></li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="containter-fluid">
<div class="row-fluid">
<div class="span12">
<h1>Hello, world!</h1>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row-fluid">
<div class="span2">2</div>
<div class="span10">10</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery.js"></script>
<script src="js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
I get the following:
Yet, in the example on the Bootstrap site, all of its collapsed links form a vertical list. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
EDIT: Taking .pull-right out of the nav <ul> and replacing it with <div class="span8"> solved some of it. Unfortunately, it looks like my .brand element is causing some issues.
If I shrink my browser to the point where the collapsable nav button is next to my .brand, the links below don't form a list:
If I shrink the browser so the links form a list, then the button pops below the .brand:
Is there a way to keep the button on the same line as the .brand and force the links below to form a vertical list?
From the looks of your code, you are missing a very important piece of code in there.
You need to link bootstrap-responsive.css or bootstrap-responsive.min.css
Additionally, this is what your menu should look like:
<div class="navbar navbar-static-top navbar-inverse">
<div class="navbar-inner">
<div class="container-fluid">
<a class="btn btn-navbar" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".nav-collapse">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</a>
<a class="brand" href="#">Bootstrap Test</a>
<div class="pull-right nav-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav">
<li class="active">Home</li>
<li class="divider-vertical"></li>
<li>About</li>
<li class="divider-vertical"></li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
You must be using inline-block or float:left.
If so then remove float and use display:block

Twitter bootstrap 3 navbar navbar-right outside navbar-collapse

In Twitter bootstrap 2.3.2 I can have something like:
http://jsfiddle.net/aQwUZ/3/
<div class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
<div class="navbar-inner">
<div class="container">
<a data-target=".nav-collapse" data-toggle="collapse" class="btn btn-navbar">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</a>
BRAND
<ul class="nav pull-right">
<li>
Fixed Link
</li>
</ul>
<div class="nav-collapse">
<ul class="nav">
<li>L1</li>
<li>L2</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
A twitter bootstrap navbar, where in mobile responsive view, "Fixed Link" stay visible in header.
Now, in bootstrap 3, after upgrade my code, I can only have:
http://jsfiddle.net/EC3Ly/4/
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".navbar-collapse">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">BRAND</a>
</div>
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li>
Fixed Link
</li>
</ul>
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li>L1</li>
<li>L2</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
in mobile responsive view, I get 2 lines...
I tried to wrap in a "navbar-header" node http://jsfiddle.net/EC3Ly/5/ or in the first "navbar-header" without success.
What did I miss?
Thanks,
Alexandre
I faced the same problem with BS3, and the only way I found to resolve it was to use a combination of pull-left and pull-right
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top" role="navigation">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header pull-left">
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">BRAND</a>
</div>
<div class="navbar-header pull-right">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav pull-left">
<li>
Fixed Link
</li>
</ul>
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".navbar-collapse">
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li>L1</li>
<li>L2</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
Working demo: http://bootply.com/78856
The two lines in the mobile navbar are caused by the clearfix of the navbar-header:
.navbar-header {
.clearfix();
#media (min-width: #grid-float-breakpoint) {
float: left;
}
}
You could use media queries and css to undo this clearfix (and add a new before the collapsed dropdown)
.navbar-right {float: right !important;}
#media(max-width:767px)
{
.navbar-right {margin-right:20px;}
.navbar-header:after
{
clear: none;
}
.navbar-nav.navbar-right > li { float: left; }
.navbar-collapse:before {clear:both;}
.navbar-collapse {overflow-y: hidden;}
.navbar-collapse.in {overflow-y: visible;}
.navbar{border-color: #101010; border-width: 0 0 1px;}
.navbar-collapse.in > ul {border-color: #101010; border-top:1px double;}
}
}
demo: http://bootply.com/82366
The media queries also add a float right for the navbar-right on smaller screens. To take this code in production, you maybe will fix the borders and possible the navbar css transisions too.
The problem is with the point at which the navbar collapses. By default, Bootstrap collapses at 768px. If you increase this, your navbar will collapse sooner and your problem will disappear.
The best way to do this is to customize your bootstrap file and change the #grid-float-breakpoint to 850px (or whatever size you need). You can easily customize bootstrap 3 from http://getbootstrap.com/customize/?id=9720390
Hope this helps.
I fixed it this way. Just right after the brand add two new lines with the same class and an additional class.
<!-- Branding Image -->
<a class="navbar-brand" href="{{ url('/') }}">Home</a>
<!-- Fake branding to avoid breaking up navbar -->
<a class="navbar-brand navbar-brand-fake">Item 1</a>
<a class="navbar-brand navbar-brand-fake">Item 2</a>
And add this to your css file:
a.navbar-brand-fake {
font-size: 15px;
line-height: 21px;
margin-left: 2px !important;
}
Home, Item 1 and Item 2 remain in the navbar when resizing and the navbar won't break.
