Easy PHP Development Server 16.1 PHP MyAdmin - mysql

I recently downloaded Easy PHP 16.1 and tried to open my phpmyadmin and it shows blank page.
My Environment is Windows 8 32 bit system, freshly installed os.
I have also installed Eclipse for android development in the same system and not sure will there be any port conflicts.
The apache server is running fine and i could execute the php files with echo statement.
Note : I tried with xampp also, and i got a blank screen for xampp too.

WAMP Not Starting

I'm trying to get started with WAMP server on a Windows 10 computer. When I try to launch the WAMP application on the computer, I get an error message that says This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
The WAMP icon in the taskbar tray is orange, with 2 of 3 services running.
I am still able to access the WAMP dashboard through localhost in my browser.
I've gone through and installed all the required Visual C++ redistributables to no avail.
I've enabled both the .NET frameworks.
I've installed Microsoft DirectX.
I've restarted the computer.
I don't have Skype.
Running as an administrator.
Some of the things I tried might be completely useless, I was just watching a few YouTube videos about how to resolve this error.
It says in 'services.msc' that it's mySQL that isn't running. Only MariaDB and Apache appear in services.msc, but I'm still able to access phpMyAdmin
Does anyone know what could be the issue? I'm just about at the stage of uninstalling WAMP and starting again, or maybe trying XAMPP instead.
UPDATE: I reinstalled WAMP entirely, and now I have a green icon in the taskbar, with all services running, however I am still not able to open the WAMP application as per the above question. Can I use WAMP without using the desktop client?

Ejabberd source code Installation in windows 10

I want to know the procedure to install Ejabberd from source code in windows 10. In their documentation, the installation with source code is only given for the Linux based operating system. I am struggling to find any good documentation on the same.
I think the windows installer is, in fact, compiled and packaged in Linux or other operating system. Following this reasoning, there's a way to get your self-compiled ejabberd running in Windows:
Download and install the latest ejabberd binary package in your Windows server. See what Erlang/OTP version and what ejabberd version you have.
Now, go to a development machine where you know ejabberd can be compiled: GNU/Linux, BSD, maybe Mac.
Download the same Erlang/OTP version, and download the source code of the same ejabberd version
Compile ejabberd
Copy the resulting *.beam files from the development machine to the Windows server, overwriting the originally installed ones

How install and configure mysql 5.6.16 in windows 7

I downloaded the zip file for Mysql 5.6.16, but there is no .exe file in the folder.
All the instructions online are saying install through .msi file.
How can i install and configure mysql 5.6.16 in windows 7 ??
Thanx in advance
As described in How to install MySQL on Windows 7?:
The installer installs the following software in your computer
a.) MySQL Server
b.) MySQL Connectors
c.) MySQL Workbench and sample
models
d.) MySQL for Excel
e.) MySQL Notifier
f.) MySQL for Visual
Studio
g.) Sample Databases
h.) Documentation
Download the installer here : http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/windows/installer/
There are two options available: (as on 31 Jan 2014 , the latest version is 5.6.16)
(i) mysql-installer-web-community-5.6.16.0.msi – 1.5MB
(ii) mysql-installer-community-5.6.16.0.msi – 250.8MB
I personally prefer the 2nd option. This helps me to keep the .msi file as backup in my computer. I can install MySQL whenever I need to
even if I am offline.
After downloading the 250 MB file, double click it to start the installation process. Now it is simple as installing any software on
windows 7.
Once you are done with the installation download the official document
Direct link for A4 size pdf –
http://downloads.mysql.com/docs/refman-5.6-en.a4.pdf
Now click the “MySQL Notifier” in programs menu. The Notifier icon appears in the task bar (right bottom). Right click on the small red
icon and select “start” the server option.
Click the “MySQL Workbench” in the programs menu. Start creating databases/schemas/tables/SQL scripts.
You can install mysql server on windows, using mysql web community installer. The web community installer is 32 bit, but you can use it install mysql on both 32 bit and 64 bit windows machines.
For step by step guide for installing mysql on windows machine, check this page How to install MySQL server on windows?
Install Windows (x86, 32-bit), MSI Installer) from this link , even if your are using 64 bit operating system. MySQL Installer is 32 bit, but will install both 32 bit and 64 bit binaries.
Simply follow the steps and make sure to select the dependency for Visual Studio. Installer will download everything for you.
Please Download Xampp Windows installer & install it on Windows. Hope this would work for you - www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwSCUHIzMsk .

Can I keep MYSQL and WAMP Server running together?

At first, I use Struts 2 to develop a website in Java web technology. So I installed Apache Tomcat as the localhost server and MYSQL as the database (MYSQL here is the full application from mysql.com, not the packages like XAMPP or WAMP...)
But now I switch to learn a little bit about PHP so I install WAMP full package. When I start all services of WAMP and go to browser and type localhost, everything work fine
But when I go to localhost/phpmyadmin, it seems to connect to the old MYSQL application in my computer (what I've used in Java web). And then I restart computer and use MYSQL Workbench (in the MYSQL application), but now it connects to the database of WAMP package, and I can not connect to the old database (in Java web) anymore
The solution is remove WAMP but I need WAMP for PHP
So I just want to ask how can I use MYSQL application and WAMP package together (MYSQL application for Java web and WAMP package for PHP)?
Thank you and apology for my bad English!
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1 and open my (Configuration file) and then navigate to
[client]
port=3306
Change this to
[client]
port:3307
This will make phpmyadmin to run on 3306 and Java-Mysql to run on 3307
You can of course keep both XAMPP and WAMP running together keeping in mind that you have changed the default ports for either of it to some other ports rather than 80,443 and 3306, but sometimes it could create conflict as when you install some other third party softwares or enable certain services that run on port 80,443,3306.
The best alternative here would be to install one of the servers inside a virtual machine with network configured as "host-only-adapter" so that from the base machine you could access XAMPP/WAMP installed on the virtual machine by just pointing the ip-address of the virtual machine through a web-browser.
or,
If you want to run both XAMPP and WAMP together on the same machine but access only one of the servers at a time then you could go ahead installing both of them one after another. But, keep in mind that before installing the other server you have to completely stop all the services running from the XAMPP or WAMP control panel then quit the application. After this step you can go ahead installing the other server without changing any configurations or port numbers. This is because in this case we assumed that only one of the servers would be accessed at a time. Hence, before launching the other server one has to completely quit the application that is running currently by stopping all of it's services. If skype is installed then one has to change the default incoming connection ports to other than port 80 and 443.
Like mentioned above, if at all the intention is to access both servers up and running concurrently then taking advantage of a virtual machine would be the best to avoid conflicts and a long-term troubleshoots eventually.
If you messed up changing ports and config files then you could end up with the following error while trying to access phpmyadmin from XAMPP control panel:
**mysql said: Cannot connect: invalid settings. xampp**
note: while launching the servers , run it as administrator else some services will not start properly.
"I TRIED INSTALLING BOTH XAMPP AND WAMP ON WINDOWS 10 AS SUCH AS POINTED BY MANY THREADS I CHANGED THE DEFAULT PORTS FOR MYSQL & APACHE XAMPP AS IT WOULD CONFLICT WITH WAMP ALREADY INSTALLED ONLY ENDING UP UNABLE TO ACCESS PHPMYADMIN FROM XAMPP CONTROL PANEL. THEN REINSTALLED XAMPP WITHOUT CHANGING ANY CONFIGS OR PORTS. STOP THE WAMP SERVICES, QUIT THE APP AND THEN LAUNCH PHPMYADMIN FROM XAMPP CONTROL PANEL. AT LAST IT WORKED!. THE PROCESS LOOKS SHORT THOUGH WHEN IN REALITY IT TOOK ME COUNTLESS HOURS AND PAIN RESEARCHING ON THE WEB AND TESTING FOR A POSSIBLE SOLUTION UNTILL I CAME UP WITH THIS."
Hopes, this quick tips and guides would be helpful.

XAMPP phpmyadmin mysql user manual?

This is actually 2 questions...
Background:
After using the command line in MySQL for my database introductory classes (very enjoyable), I had been required to use a DBA tool and downloaded XAMPP as identified below.
The transition to a GUI would be ok if I understood the interface for creating database tables...
Q1.I have searched the net and Amazon trying to locate a user manual for XAMPP... does anyone have an actual manual? At this point it is trial and error.
Q2. As a student I am curious about the use of these tools in the real world... why not use the command line provided in MySQL?

Xampp is just a collection of other tools... the sql tool, phpMyAdmin, has it's own manual.
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/docs.php
As for why to use xampp, it's meant for simplicity. If you were going to use ALL of the tools in the package (web server, database, php interpreter, etc, etc) it would take a considerable amount of time and effort to install and configure. xampp does everything for you. I don't use xampp, myself.
