MySQL Workbench: Assertion Failed wb->get_root().is_valid() - mysql

I had run a query on MySQL workbench and after running for a long time MySQL Workbench crashed. Ever since, when I try to open MySQL Workbench it says gives an error saying assertion failed.Attached is the screen shot of the error message
Could you please help me with this.
Regards,
Kiran

Very likely is that your settings xml and/or connection xml has been corrupted. To fix this rename or remove wb_options.xml and/or connections.xml from the MySQL data folder before you start WB next time. Those files will be recreated if they don't exist, but you lose any custom settings + your set-up connections.
On Windows this folder is under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench.

Hmailserver database version could not be detected

Okay so I'm trying to install HMailServer on my Windows 7 PC with XAMPP, and connect it to the MySQL database in XAMPP. I've been Googling for hours and only finding either ineffective or invalid answers.
I went through the installation to the database set up and selected:
Select a new Hmail server default database
MySQL
Database Server address: E6400, port 3306, Database name: Douglas (All correct I checked it out in PHPmyadmin) Then I typed in my Username and password for a user that I granted all privileges too on the database...
Left service dependency blank
Then on the finish screen it returned
Starting task...
Please wait while updating database settings...
Settings updated.
Restarting server...
Database version could not be detected.
I did place a libmysql.dll file in the hmail server bin (not one from XAMPP because I couldn't find one in there).
Here's my error logs:
"ERROR" 5460 "2015-06-26 21:34:37.341" "Severity: 2 (High), Code: HM5033, Source: DALRecordset::Open, Description: MySQL: Table 'email.hm_dbversion' doesn't exist (Additional info: select * from hm_dbversion)"
"ERROR" 5460 "2015-06-26 21:34:37.341" "Severity: 1 (Critical), Code: HM5010, Source: Application::OnDatabaseConnected, Description: Database version could not be detected."
Do I need to manually create the table .hm_dbversion or something? Let me know if I need to include more information. Thanks everyone!
Just ran into this same issue. This is how I resolved it. There may be a better method to do this but this is what worked for me:
Run the installer and tell it you want to use a different database (MySQL).
Once the installer gets to the step where you setup the database, just cancel the database setup.
Open you hMail folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\hMailServer\DBScripts)
Locate the 'CreateTablesMYSQL.sql' file.
Use a MySQL database editor to create a new schema and execute the above sql file into that new schema.
Next, open the hMail database setup app. (C:\Program Files (x86)\hMailServer\Bin\DBSetup.exe)
Go through the steps to setup your MySQL database using the new schema you just created as the database.
If all was done well, you should fly thr

max_allowed_packet, I don't have MySQL

I'm trying to run sonar-runner.bat, when it almost finished analyzing, it's written max_allowed_packet more than something something. So it fails.

the error may involve org.sonar.core.source.db.filesourcemapper.insert-inline
the error occurred while setting parameters
how can i change it?
help!
As #Fabrice- SonarQube Team suggested that you are running SonarQube Server on top of Mysql. If you want to check you can check within Sonar.properties file.
for removing this issues you have to modify the my.cnf(Linux) or my.ini(for windows).
[mysqld]
max_allowed_packet=256M
if you want to set the same Globally.Log in to Mysql and run the following command.
SET GLOBAL max_allowed_packet=1073741824;
Once you do this settings, Please restart Mysql Server.
I found the answer myself.
Looks like I don't realize how the database works in Sonarqube.
So by DEFAULT, sonarqube use H2. This is a good one, and I believe such my problem won't happened.
Turned out someone from my company actually used his own MYSQL server. So, I found the MySQL folder, change .ini/.cfg file, insert MAX_ALLOWED_PACKET value to bigger number.
VOILA!
Thanks for your help!

#2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server error

I cannot log in to my mySQL database server anymore.
I am currently using WAMP 2.2 on Windows 8.1 64 bits.
I tried reinstalling WAMP server but the problem still persists.
I have also edited the config.inc.php file and changed the host name from 'localhost' to '127.0.0.1'; however the problem still exists.
I found the problem, eventually. It had nothing to do with any of the configuration files though.
My ESET Smart Security antivirus updated silently and blocked the mysql application. I did not even get a notification for it!
I figured it out when I tried logging in to phpMyadmin after turning off my antivirus.
I had to allow communication for mysqld.exe in the antivirus settings.
Using the Wampmanager menus take a look at the mysql error log.
left click wampmanager -> MySQL -> MySQL log
If that does not show any [error] messages then also have a look at the 'Windows Event Viewer' in the 'Application' section for messages from MySQL.
The normal problem is a rogue 'my.ini' or 'my.cnf' file on your system. Search for these 2 files in the C;\windows folder, if you find any then delete them.
DO NOT DELETE THE my.ini FILE FREOM ANYWHERE IN THE C;\WAMP folder structure.
Recently I encountered a problem with MySQL, It was showing an error “Error : 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly” when I tried to start the service in services.msc
So I googled it but didn’t found the perfect solution. I will show how can you debug the issue. First look for file my.ini which can be found in “C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.6.17″ , open that file on look for “log-error”, this will show you the path where error log is stored. In my case it is, “c:/wamp/logs/mysql.log”.
Open the log file and look for last error you got, you should be today’s date when you tried to start the wampmysqld from services. At this stage, you will get error and understand what it say. In my case it is,
enter image description here
The folders for all databases are in “C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.6.17\data”. To fix I moved kmk folder to some other place. After this, wampmysqld in services.msc is getting started without any error.

When run "sonar-runer" throw exception :"Caused by: Unknown database status: FRESH_INSTALL"

I need help
First , it throw exception
cannot load class 'com.mysql.xxx.JDBC'",so I copy the
sonarqube-4.0/extensions/jdbc-driver/mysql/mysql-connector-java-5.1.26.jar
to the /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-sun/jre/lib/ext/
Then I run sonar-runner again, it throws this exception:
Unknown database status: FRESH_INSTALL
My heart is broken , plz help me
I saw this error when the database is empty (no tables are created). Usually tables are created during first start of sonar.
Can you reach sonar by web interface?
Make sure that settings in your conf/sonar.properties file in Sonar directory are correct, these lines should be uncommented.
sonar.jdbc.url: jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/sonar?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf8&rewriteBatchedStatements=true
sonar.jdbc.username: mysqlusername
sonar.jdbc.password: mysqlpassword
Then check if your conf/sonar-runner.properties file in sonar-runer directory has the same settings.
#----- MySQL
sonar.jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/sonar?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf8
#----- Global database settings
sonar.jdbc.username=mysqlusername
sonar.jdbc.password=mysqlpassword
Also make sure that the line for default embeded database is commented.
#sonar.jdbc.url: jdbc:h2:tcp://localhost:9092/sonar
Sonar stopped supporting the property "sonar.jdbc.schema" from 4.2 version. Please refer link http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SONAR-5000. To fix the issue on PostgreSQL based sonar deployment, execute the following SQL command on the database:
ALTER USER $dbUser$ SET search_path to $soanrQubeSchema$
I just encountered the same problem, and I solved it by restarting sonar server after creating proper user and database in mysql.
In fact, sonar server will fill the empty mysql database with many tables after restarting, and that removed the "FRESH_INSTALL" problem.

Difference In Phpmyadmin Mysql web client and Terminal client

I got problem (#2006 Mysql server gone away) with mysql while connecting and performing some operations through web browser.
Operation Listed below:
When Executing big procedure
Importing database dump
When Access some particular tables It immediately throws "Server gone away".
Refer this question for Scenarios: Record Not Inserted - #2006 Mysql server gone away
Note : The above operations are works fine when I perform through terminal.
I tried some configuration as googing stated. That is set wait_timeout, max_allowed_packet. I checked for the bin_log but it is not available.
But the issues will not rectified.
What is the problem & How can I figure out & fix the issue?
what is the different between access phpmyadmin mysql server from web browser and terminal?
Where I can find the mysql server log file?
Note: If you know about any one of the above questions. Please post here. It would be helpful to trace.
Please help me to figure this out..
Thanks in advance...
Basically nothing except phpMyAdmin is limited by PHP's timeout and resource limits (limits to keep a runaway script from bogging down your entire machine for all eternity; see the docs for details of those values. In some cases, you might be authenticating through a different user account (for instance, root#localhost and root#127.0.0.1 aren't the same user), but as long as you're using a user with the same permissions the differences are minimal.
You can read more about logs in the MySQL manual, note that "By default, no logs are enabled (except the error log on Windows)".
Below are answer for question
From my research the problem is that browser have some limit to disconnect the connection i.e timeout connection. So that the above problem raised.
To resolve this problem
Go to /opt/lampp/phpmyadmin and open config.inc.php
add the command $cfg['ExecTimeLimit'] = 0;
Restart the xamp server. Now you can perform any operations.
`
2. Web client is differ from terminal because Terminal client will not getting timeout. Terminal client maintain the connection till the progress completed. I recommenced to use command prompt to import/export/run process by safe way.
Basically phpmyadmin will not have any log file. If you wanna see warnings and error you should configure the log file.
Configuration steps:
Go to /opt/lampp/etc/my.cnf
Add log_bin = /opt/lampp/var/mysql/filename.log
Restart the xamp server. You can get the log information.
