nltk Stanford Segmenter : NoClassDefFoundError: org/slf4j/LoggerFactory (Windows) - nltk

I'm relatively new at this. Trying to get Stanford Segmenter to play well with nltk and keep running into this error I havent been able to resovle.
This is the error:

I have python3.4
I've reinstalled the nltk (current version 3.1)
I've added the classpath of the slf4j-api.jar (any other .jar i need to add?)
import os
javapath = "C:/Users/Documents/DaimText/stanford-segmenter-2015-12-09/slf4j-api.jar"
os.environ['CLASSPATH'] = javapath
Still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Thanks alot!
UPDATE:
Uninstalled: stanford-segmenter-2015-12-09
Installed: stanford-segmenter-2014-08-27
Followed the test code from here:
http://textminingonline.com/dive-into-nltk-part-vi-add-stanford-word-segmenter-interface-for-python-nltk
Works!
Seems like it might be a problem with the new version.

DBD::mysql error in ActivePerl 5.28 on Windws10 64bits, Can't load mysql.dll

I'm having an issue with the DBD::mysql module. This question has been asked before on this forum but a solution was not posted so I thought I would repost it. Sorry if this is not appropriate for this forum. This is my first post.
You can find the original post from bLIGU here:
Error using perl module DBD::mysql in ActivePerl 5.28 on Windws10 64bits
I have the exact same problem. I'm just upgrading my Active Perl version. Nothing else changed. I'm running the same MySql server version and this script ran fine before the update and it runs fine if I go back to version 5.20.2.2002 and use PPM to download the packages.
Note that ActiveState now requires you to build a custom version of ActivePerl with the modules online and generates an install file for you. PPM is no longer supported.
Here's the error:
install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't load 'C:/Perl64/site/lib/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.dll' for module DBD::mysql: load_file:The specified module could not be found at C:/Perl64/lib/DynaLoader.pm line 193.

Perhaps a required shared library or dll isn't installed where expected
at C:\E22_TE~1\ICTDEV~1\Scripts\UPDATE~1.PL line 136.strong text
The file C:/Perl64/site/lib/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.dll is present so I'm wondering if the DLL is trying to load something else and returns an error.

How to fix Kotlin REPL exception NoClassDefFoundError

I'm attempting to run the Kotlin REPL on my windows 10 machine, from the command line. I am receiving a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jline/reader/LineReaderBuilder exception when running the command kotlinc
I have IntelliJ Ultimate 2019.1.3 installed, with the Kotlin plugin. I have the Kotlin standalone compiler also installed and I've added that location to my system path. I've tried to run the command from the standalone directory: "C:/Tools/kotlinc/bin" but no difference.
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
Kotlin version 1.3.40-release-123 (JRE 1.8.0_131-b11)
java version "1.8.0_131"
I expect the REPL to start without an exception. What could be causing the exception?
Thank you all!
It looks like that was a bug and it has been fixed with Kotlin plugin & kotlinc version 1.3.41 (released today).

Octave Symbolic Error- "Error in var export"

I am having a tough time with the symbolic package in octave.
Software Versions (downloaded everything today):
-Octave: 4.0.0
-OctSymPy 2.2.2
-Python: 3.4
-SymPy: 0.7.6
When I try to multiply/divide/raise to a power symbolic variables, I get the following error:
PYTHON: Error in var export
Resetting the octsympy communication mechanism
Closing the Python pipe...
error: python_cmd: unexpected return
error: called from
python_cmd at line 143 column 6
mtimes at line 42 column 5
syms X Y
X*Y
I am totally stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on the cause of this? I can add and differientiate symbolic expressions, so it is working to some extent.
Thanks!
I had the same problem and I just have downloaded and installed the python version 2.7.11 and worked fine.
Ah, don't forget to reinstall SimPy, but this time on the new Python version.
When you get back to octave, it'll recognize that version.

Why isn't this SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK “Hello World” application for SFDC Canvas working?

Currently I'm looking in the Force.com Canvas Developer's Guide at "Chapter 3: Quick Start--Advanced".
I've successfully cloned SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK from GitHub, and am now trying to Run the Web App Locally.
The build is successful and keystore has been created. However, when I execute target\bin\webapp.bat, I get the following error:
Error: Could not find or load main class Main

Any help to resolve this will be appreciated!
I was able to fix this as follows on MacOS Sierra 10.13.6
The problem does seem to be with Java 8, so if you can start the whole installation with Java 7, you'll save a lot of time. In my case, I had already installed Java 8, so I had to do the following:
1- Install java 7 from: https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html . You have to create an Oracle account, it's free.
2- Confirm both versions of java are runningv
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ /usr/libexec/java_home -V
Matching Java Virtual Machines (2):
1.8.0_191, x86_64: "Java SE 8" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_191.jdk/Contents/Home
1.7.0_80, x86_64: "Java SE 7" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_80.jdk/Contents/Home
3- Then
export JAVA_HOME=`/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.7.0_80`
export JAVACMD=`/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.7.0_80`
Confirm that Java 7 is the default version now
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_80"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_80-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.80-b11, mixed mode)
5- Then
export JAVACMD=/usr/bin/java
6- Finally
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ sh target/bin/webapp
Looks like we are NOT running on heroku.

CORBA exception when running from a Mac OS X 10.6 64 bit macbook

I get a weird exception while using CORBA ACE/TAO. I am trying to run a service written in Java that sends/receives messages from clients.
When I run the same code in Windows 7 32-bit it works fine! I exported an executable jar file and tried to run it on my mac, but the problem was still there.
The exception I get is the following:

In both cases I use java 1.6. The java version in my mac is "build 1.6.0_29-b11-402-10M3527"
Does anybody have any idea of what the problem could be??
Thanks,
Dimos.
Probably your Mac can't resolve the address you pass with -ORBInitDef. Try to ping the server manually and see if that works.
