windows phone 8.1 app registration through facebook - windows-phone-8.1

I want to integrate facebook login in my app for registration i am following this link but not able to understand how to get the Windows Store ID in step 1.2.. can anyone please help..

Have you tried to put the code
Uri _callbackUri = WebAuthenticationBroker.GetCurrentApplicationCallbackUri();
somewhere in your app, for example at the end of App.OnLaunched() method, then put a breakpoint after it, run the app and examine the returned value.

So the windows store id can be retrieved in two ways. One is programatically by calling this method
Uri _callbackUri = WebAuthenticationBroker.GetCurrentApplicationCallbackUri();
And the other way is to login to your microsoft account which you would have registered in dev.windows.com then perfom the following steps
Navigate to dashboard.
Select the app for which you want to integrate the FB login.(If you haven't registered an app in this account yet then I recommend you do it. Because once you do that and login via Visual studio the above mentioned URI method will return same store Id)
Then navigate to that app and on the left you will see a options like Acquistions,Analytics etc. there click on App Management and inside that click on App Identity.
In the app identity page you can find a field name Package SID which is your store id.
Hope this helps!

How do I add a custom field for a new Okta app integration?

I am creating a new Okta integration for our app and need to require users to enter a subdomain, where can I do this? We will be using SAML.
As you can see in this example for the slack integration ( http://ronz.io/gPgAeS), they are able to add a custom field to allow for the domain or subdomain to be entered.
Where in the setup can I add this? So that Okta users can enter their subdomain for our app when adding the application.
Please let me know if you need any additional context.
I'm guessing this is a custom application rather than an app in the OIN ? In which case you need to build a SAML templated app, which will allow you to add as many attributes required by the SP.
If you go to Applications -> Add Applications -> There should be a Create button on the page allowing you to define your app.

Get Windows Phone app store ProductID prior to submission

Is there any way of finding out the store generated ProductID prior to submission of a new app? It used to be that we could create a store app and (without submitting) get its allocated ProductID and then paste this into our WMAppManifest.xml in order to be able to set up Facebook social login that requires the app ProductID.
Not possible as far as I know. You can submit the app as hidden so no one downloads it, get the id, then add the Facebook integration and then submit it again.
It is possible using \
var appId = Windows.ApplicationModel.Store.CurrentApp.AppId;

Windows phone 8 dialor

I am pretty new to Windows phone development. I want to create an application that will be displayed as an option to the user, when the user dial a number or select 'call' option from a saved contact, for routing the call through that application. The application first dial some number to connect to a specific service provider and then dial the number on the selected contact or the number that the user dials to make the call. I had an experiment with the PhoneCallTask but not succeeded. Any help will be appreciated.
First, there is no way to put your app's shortcut in Phone app. I assume what you are looking for is a call interceptor app. Currently, the builds till WP8.1 don't support it. There are possibilities of such API in the final Windows 10 build though.
Please use a search engine to look for API limitations first and then ask a question in SO.

SkyDrive WinRT API Login programmatically

As the title says, I'm looking for a way to login to SkyDrive without having to show the UI to login not even once. The reason we're trying to do this is because we need to run some integration tests, and we need to login for that, but we can't add UI to those.
Thanks in advance.
I think Live Connect API doesn't provide a way to login via code-behind or via custom login panel. If you have access token then you can use REST APIs to get data like https://apis.live.net/v5.0/me?access_token=<Access-Token> will returns JSON response of id, first name, last name, profile link etc.
Possible ways sign in to Live
Creating a non-web-view-based sign-in screen for Microsoft SkyDrive
Using REST to Login user to Windows Live

Add application to Fb Page from outside Fb, add tab for it and configure if with specific data?

I have a simple product catalogue for businesses. There is a catalogue's management interface for adding products. Each business has a unique domain name where all its products are listed.
I would like to extend catagloue's functionality and allow businesses to have their products listed on facebook.
Functionality of the facebook application:
- Each business can install application from catalogue's management interface (I would like to have a button that opens facebook in a new window and prompts user to authorize access to one of user's existing Facebook Pages)
- installing application adds a Tab on selected Facebook Page,
- by clicking on a Tab visitor of the Facebook Page is presented with a list of products specific for this business. Data for that page is dynamic and can be accessed with a REST call and presented as json or html.
We would like each business that have a product catalogue with us to install application and have it automatically configured to use specific domain name when requesting product data.
Is it all technically possible? Could you point me into the right direction on how to
- install application from external website
- configure that application with a parameter (perhaps passed in url when requesting application installation)
- automatically add Page Tab for this application
Cheers,
Michal
Yes it is possible. But it'll be a little different from what you are thinking, i guess.
I recently implemented code to add a tab to a page programmatically, it is as follows(in PHP) :
$tabAdded=$facebook->api("/".$id."/tabs","post", array("access_token" => $access,
"app_id" => $fbconfig['appid']));
From the code we see that we need an app id, an access token, and the page id($id). $facebook is an instance of the FacebookPHPSDK.
So here's how we can get the three things in question:
First app id, you'll need to create a Facebook page tab app, select Page Tab in the app's Basic settings (where you can mention the page tab url. This url will have the content for a page tab.) You'll also need to enable website because you need to ask the user for necessary permissions (namely manage_pages). For your specific requirement you have to give the domain of the catalogue management app.
Second page id and access token, once you have manage_pages permission you can query the graph api to get the pages of the user using : api('me/accounts') this returns data with page name, page category, page id, page access token for all the user's pages.
#thaddeusmt has already mentioned that you can't create new applications, and need to use the same app, you have to read the signed request and get the page id, and serve content. All that will be left to do is link your customer domains to the correct page ids.
Hope this was useful.
You can install/uninstall (add/remove) application tabs to/from Pages using the Facebook API:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/page/#tabs
You cannot create new applications, however. So you will need to use the same application for each Page.
The way you can show different content for each Page in the Tab (using the same application) is by checking the Signed Request. This contains the ID of the Facebook Page. The code that serves up your application Tab can look at the Page ID and serve up the appropriate content for that Page.
I hope this helps get you on the trail. Good luck!
Yes it is possible.
It's a two way process
First you have to get page_access_token through graphAPI.
www.facebook.com/?fields=access_token
This will return Page_access_token.
Use page access token and use post method
www.facebook.com/yourpageid/tabs/
Post Parameters:
app_id= 'YourAppID'
access_token = 'access_token'
That way you can add your facebook app into facebookPage.
