Does anyone know how can I get larger images with findItemsIneBayStores API call? I use JSON response and my request is following:
http://svcs.ebay.com/services/search/FindingService/v1?OPERATION-NAME=findItemsIneBayStores&SERVICE-VERSION=1.0.0&SECURITY-APPNAME=-DATA-FORMAT=JSON&REST-PAYLOAD&storeName=
Found answer.. I needed to add
&outputSelector=PictureURLLarge
to api call url

I'm trying to use the Twitter API in Google Script to get the non-public metrics of my posts.
I believe have done all of the authentication properly since I am able to get the information when using Postman. I have generate a consumer_key, a consumer_secret, an access_token, and a token_secret.
According to the twitter documentation , I MUST use Oauth1.0 (https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/metrics).
In order use the Oauth1, I used Google's own script for Twitter Oauth1 (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/examples/twitter-oauth10).
I was able to take that code (along with the library it required) and successfully retrieve the tweets for my username.
My attempt to get the non_public metric was replacing the "https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json" with the GET request I had from POSTMAN but it returned a "401 error".
I have a hunch that I can't just replace that url with my own but I am unsure how to approach it.
In summary:
Tokens/Twitter Authorization/GET request are written properly since they work in Postman
Google Script is writing properly since the default URL works
Unsure how to replace the default url to accomplish different tasks
Ended up figuring it it out!
I was not supposed to pass the entire url as a replacement for "https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json".
It is supposed to be replaced by the "base" url. In my case this was "https://api.twitter.com/2/tweets".
I then had to change the variable "params" that feed into it.
note that the params is from the code provided by Google in my original post
They have to be in the following format (https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/tutorials/twitter-api-google-sheets):
params = {
"tweet.fields": "author_id,created_at,lang",
"ids": "21,1293593516040269825,1334542969530183683",
}
I was able to add my own fields such as "non_public_metrics,organic_metrics" to get:
params = {
"tweet.fields": "author_id,created_at,lang,non_public_metrics,organic_metrics",
"ids": "21,1293593516040269825,1334542969530183683",
}
I hope this helps someone someday :)
when I run the following HTTP request:
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/nearbysearch/json?key=[API KEY]&location=${lat},${lng}&radius=400
..i get a response which is an array of objects (places)...each object has a key called photos (which is also an array of objects). I dont see a "getURL" method, so how do I get the image URL for the place?
Thanks
The Places API web service returns array of photos in the response. Each element in this array has a photo_reference field. So you can use the photo reference to get a photo using the following URL:
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/photo?photoreference=YOUR_PHOTO_REFERENCE&maxwidth=600&key=YOUR_API_KEY
For further details have a look at the documentation:
https://developers.google.com/places/web-service/photos
I hope this helps!
What's the best way to send multiple parameters on a REST GET resource call. Normally we can call GET call with path param &/ query however the number of character is limited on a URL so any suggestion or best practice on how to achieve this.
This can be achieved via POST where sending the query in request body as JSON and use json converter on the resource end. I am thinking POST mayn't be a right approach for query or get service from a resource.
I search the existing questions on this but didn't get any proper answer.
Thanks in advance.
You can send a limited data with GET and even the data is visible in URL making data vurnerable. When you use POST data is a alot more safer than GET and you can send large no. of request parameters. You can checkout this link
I am new to wso2 API Manager, trying to set it up expose my plain HTTP POST back end calls as a REST API. I am sure this is not a new pattern that I am trying to achieve here. The requirement is to convert the JSON data coming in (has array structures) into the HTTP URL query string parameters.
After some research through the documentation and other posts on this forum, decided to go with the script mediator that would parse the JSON data and convert it to a string that can be appended to the endpoint URL. Some how I am not able to achieve this.
I have followed the following post that seems to be very straight forward. As the original poster suggested, I am also not able to use getPayloadJSON() method. Even have trouble using the work around suggested there due to JSON.parse() not working.

Also, this approach of editing the service bus configuration from source view does not sound like the correct option. Is there another elegant solution to achieve this? Thanks for the help in advance.
I was able to get both methods working by using an external script instead of the inline java script. Thanks
I'm learning how to use a third party API called Wunderground and I don't know how to request, receive, and use their results which is in a Json format.
If you see their website a developer can sign up for free and receives an API KEY. You can then request weather data in the following URL format.. http://api.wunderground.com/api/KEY/FEATURE/[FEATUREā¦]/[SETTINGā¦]/q/QUERY.FORMAT
So I have tried it in my web browser by typing some parameters and I received a very long Json file with the correct information (I checked). Problem is I don't have the slightest idea of how to create a variable which can make this request, and even if I was able to do that I don't know where should I receive the file and how to get only the results I want (in this case current weather).
You have to use Titanium.Network.HTTPClient to make request.
For code examples related to Json parsing you can use:
