Organizing code in HTML - html

So I'm self studying HTML and I was wondering if there's a way to organize my code in a better way, like when you use pragma region and pragma endregion in C++.
I'm really looking for something to be as simple as that, to be 2 or maybe 3 code lines at best.
For those who doesn't know C++, pragma is used like this:
#pragma region NameOfMyRegion

And then you can just expand and collapse it as you wish, and the name of the region will be what is displayed instead of the whole bunch of code section in the region. The example is in this link: http://pho.to/9Z7LB
Looking for something as super simple, because I only know C++ and just started HTML.

That doesn't exist in pure html but it does in javascript (which can be embedded in a script tag). Javascript can be used to inject HTML into your page so through this method people often embed HTML indirectly via imported javascript.
In ES6 one of the newer versions of Javascript you can use 'import':

Because ES6 isn't universally used by all browsers many people use a pre-compiler which compiles modern ES6 javascript code into an older version of javascript. A common tool for this is Babel.

Sortable like vue.js component (without npm / webpack) or use jQuery plugin within vue area

I have a ASP.NET Core application which renders tables on the serverside, some are quite complex.
I used to use sorttable: Make all your tables sortable for make the tables sortable; now as I have included vue.js (2.0, without npm / webpack), the jquery plugin obviously does no longer work properly.
Now, before i transition fully over to 100% clientside table rendering - which I want to avoid for now, if its possible, cause its complex - is there something similar to add sorting to a rendered html with vue or is that concept that old and no longer viable in vue.js and other modern frameworks?
So, questions are:
How to make sorttable work in vue.js are (without npm / webpack)
Or how to add something like that to a already server rendered html with vue?

HTML repetitive blocks

I wish to do the following things:
Insert external html blocks into new html pages
Use the same html header from one html file for a number of pages, without recreating the header again for all the pages
Please help!
You can use HTML Imports which is part of Web Components:

If your page does not have to be pure HTML, you should consider using PHP or a similar server-side language.
There are plenty of options, depends on you:
1) use iframes (a lot problems with responsibility) http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp
2) ajax call in javascript, load external resource and then print it in placeholder tag (example is with jquery) http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/jquery_ajax_load.asp
3) use some server language/preprocessor (php, ruby, nodejs), depend if you can (need to by installed on server)
4) also there are static page generator, you add marks in your html, and they will compile html with marks to full static html http://hyde.github.io/ for example.
What you are talking about appears to be a process called templating. There are many ways to do this, including writing Javascript to insert pre-written HTML templates into the DOM (the webpage). You might also consider using a pre-written templating library such as http://handlebarsjs.com/ or another library which contains templating functions like http://underscorejs.org/. A simple MVC guide like:

May be helpful too, to get you started.
In a more practical sense, here's one possible solution:
To begin I would recommend putting the 'blocks' you want to insert in a separate folder. In the website I run, for example, I place them in the \templates folder (or subfolders) but you can more or less call it what you want as long as it makes sense to you. For our purposes let's say we've created block.html and put it in our \templates subfolder...
Now, within each template you will have whatever you want to load in; something like this:

Or whatever you'd like. Then, you'll probably want to add an element to your main page which calls some Javascript, which loads your HTML template in when a particular condition occurs. For example, if you wanted to load in our block.html file you might write something like this:

Which would call a Javascript function called 'menuClicked()' when we click the div with the id 'calling-block'.
Within the function we would write something like this:

This is a very simple way of doing things and I'm sure people will tell you there are problems with it, so I would definitely recommend doing your own reading as well, but I hope this covers the very basics.

is it possible to trigger c++ code, initiated by html events in minko?

Using minko, "html overlay" feature, is it possible to send events to c++ code from html?
The example provided, with the framework clearly demonstrate how to send events from c++ towards html (by incrementing a counter and having it reflect in html), is it possible to have the communication the other way around?
Yes.
HTML DOM events are wrapped and made available as C++ signals. So you can do something like:

You can also send and receive "messages" both ways using the AbstractDOM::sendMessage() method in C++ or Minko.sendMessage() function in JS. You can listen to those messages using AbstractDOM::onmessage() in C++ and Minko.addEventListener("message", yourCallbackFunction).
Note that you can also call AbstractDOM::eval() in your C++ code to execute JavaScript code. It's how we've implemented most of the things actually.

Working with Polymer and requirejs

In an attempt to create polymer elements that use requirejs modules I ran into a blocking issue. I understand that polymer is not designed to work with requirejs, but for the time being It is my only option.
Searching for answers I found two solutions:
Don't use requirejs and make your modules compatible with HTML imports.
Put Polymer() call inside the requirejs callback as described here
Since I have to use require, at least for the time being, I went with the solution no.2. However, it turns out the solution causes asynchronous delays of element registration and incorrect data binding prior to Polymer upgrading the element.
Digging deeper into this issue, I started hacking undocumented Polymer internals with an intention to stop Polymer entirely until requirejs does its thing. Here is what I came up with:

So there's this solution from Scott Miles but I find it a bit simplistic and inflexible as it relies on:
<script> tags to be executed in order, therefore ruling out:
async script tags
xhr based script loading
polymer getting loaded from a <script> tag, therefore:
layout.html and associated css won't be loaded
any future call to polymer.html won't be deduped
If you want more control over your bootstrapping logic you will need to enforce some amount of synchronisation between your components (which is what both requirejs and polymer are competing to do) before those are fully loaded.
The previous example is a more declarative (read polymer) way of doing things but falls short of fine grained tuning. I've started working on a repository to show how you can fully customise your load ordering, by using a more imperative approach where requirejs is given priority to orchestrate the rest of the bootstrapping.
At the time of writing, this extra control comes at the price of worse performance as the various scripts can't be loaded in parallel but I'm still working on optimising this.

Is there an example on using Razor to generate a static HTML page?

I want to generate a static HTML page by RAZOR, basically by using includes of partial sub pages.
I have tried T4 as well and do look for an alternative: see here and here
This answer says it is possible - but no concrete example
I have installed Razor generator because I thought this is the way to go, but I do not get how to generate static HTML with this.
Best would be a complete extension which behaves like the T4 concept, but allows me to use the RAZOR syntax and HTML formatting (the formatting issue is basically the reasons why I am not using T4).
If you are trying to take a Razor view and compile it and generate the HTML then you can use something like this.

The current version of Razor Generator has the "Generator" option which when used with the "MvcHelper" generator produces a static method for the helpers too.
For example, add this line at the top of your CSHTML file (with the Custom Tool Visual Studio property set to RazorGenerator of course):

The pretty names option is not strictly necessary but is something I feel should be default, to avoid those crazy long class names with underscores :-)
As you may know already, the main benefit of this method is you can share your helpers in separate assemblies. That is why I use Razor Generator in the first place.
Even within the same assembly, you could now leave your code outside App_Code folder. However that is not the best practice (at least for security) and the Visual Studio designer gets confused. It thinks the method is still not static, but it isn't and works fine.
I'm prototyping my helpers in the App_Code folder of the same site/assembly for speed then copying them to shared components when they're tested. The reason I needed this solution was to create generic Bootstrap helpers without hand-coding every piece of HTML in a HtmlHelper, i.e. used together with this solution from #chrismilleruk.
I guess later I may have to convert the CSHTML helpers to a hand-coded HtmlHelper for speed. But to start with see a great development speed increase at the beginning, from the ability to copy and paste blocks of HTML code I want to automate, then perfect and debug them quickly in the same format/editor.
