I use bootstrap in my website, i create a new dropdown button and I added in the header, my problem is when I click on dropdown that menu is appear under the others elements, I will add here an image to see what is the problem , I think the problem is z-index:
here is my html code:
<div class="page">
<div class="header-container">
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="header">
<div class="col-md-4 col-md-offset-0">
<div class="dropdown">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
The problem is with the wrapper. It has a property overflow: hidden which hides anything that is outside its area. Remove this and it will work. Not a z-index problem.
.wrapper {
overflow: hidden; // Remove
width: 100%;
}
Try it This Code in your header
<!DOCTYPE html>

I try to use the materialize.css library. I used the HTML setup with the CDN and copied a navbar inside (https://materializecss.com/getting-started.html)
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<!--Import Google Icon Font-->
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/icon?family=Material+Icons" rel="stylesheet">
<!--Import materialize.css-->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/1.0.0/css/materialize.min.css">
<!--Let browser know website is optimized for mobile-->
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"/>
</head>
<body>
<nav class="nav-extended">
<div class="nav-wrapper">
Logo
<i class="material-icons">menu</i>
</div>
<div class="nav-content">
<ul class="tabs tabs-transparent">
<li class="tab">Test 1</li>
<li class="tab"><a class="active" href="#test2">Test 2</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
</nav>
<div id="test1" class="col s12">Test 1</div>
<div id="test2" class="col s12">Test 2</div>
<!--JavaScript at end of body for optimized loading-->
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/1.0.0/js/materialize.min.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
The are not aminations, both "Test1" and "Test2" get displayed. I guess there is something missing, because I get no error. Does anyone know how to do this?
I can see you are trying to use tab in navbar. So, you are missing 2 things:
JQuery CDN link
Initialization
You have to refer to this documentation to implement tab: https://materializecss.com/tabs.html
Demo in codepen: https://codepen.io/Bibeva/pen/KKwyqre
Final code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<!--Import Google Icon Font-->
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/icon?family=Material+Icons" rel="stylesheet">
<!--Import materialize.css-->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/1.0.0/css/materialize.min.css">
<!--Let browser know website is optimized for mobile-->
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
</head>
<body>
<nav class="nav-extended">
<div class="nav-wrapper">
Logo
<i class="material-icons">menu</i>
</div>
<div class="nav-content">
<ul class="tabs tabs-transparent">
<li class="tab">Test 1</li>
<li class="tab"><a class="active" href="#test2">Test 2</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
</nav>
<div id="test1" class="col s12">Test 1</div>
<div id="test2" class="col s12">Test 2</div>

You have to use tab class properly, try the below code
.tab a{
color:#bbb !important;
}
.tab a.active{
color:#eee !important;
}
<link href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.6/css/materialize.min.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.6/js/materialize.min.js"></script>
<div class="row ">
<div class="col s12">
<ul class="tabs red lighten-1">
<li class="tab col s3">Test 1</li>
<li class="tab col s3"><a class="active" href="#test2">Test 2</a></li>
<li class="tab col s3">Test 3</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div id="test1" class="col s12">Test 1</div>
<div id="test2" class="col s12">Test 2</div>
<div id="test3" class="col s12">Test 3</div>

I am trying to remove padding using Boostrap 4 but having no success.
If you see this image it will make sense:
I am trying to remove the yellow padding that I believe comes from the fluid container.
I tried adding this:
pb-0 mb-0
^ The above are classes to force ZERO padding/margin but still the extra padding is there.
It just feels like it is not in balance....
Here is my HTML
<div class="container-fluid darkgrey">
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-lg-12">
<nav aria-label="breadcrumb">
<ol class="breadcrumb">
<li class="breadcrumb-item">Home</li>
<li class="breadcrumb-item">Section</li>
<li class="breadcrumb-item active" aria-current="page">Title</li>
</ol>
</nav>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Thanks for all help
The margin seems to dissapear when you add the mb-0 class to the <ol> element:

Margin bottom added from class breadcrumb from bootstrap css you can remove it by using below css.
ol.breadcrumb{
margin-bottom:0;
}
Its because of default margin of ul and ol tag just add this css:
ul,ol{
margin: 0;
}
How do I get my sidemenu to remain stuck so the navigation tabs always remain on top and don't scroll with the page
How do I get the buttons to change background color on hover?
The issue is that only the text changes background color or only a small portion

Add position: fixed; to your #sidebar
You may also want to add this:
.content {margin-left: 10%;}
And restructure your html like so, with the nav outside of the first content section::
<body>
<div id="sidebar">
<ul id="navbar">
<li class="navitem">Kat</li>
<li class="navitem">Kat</li>
<li class="navitem">Kat</li>
<li class="navitem">Kat</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div id="frontpage" class="content">.......
This will make it so that your content isn't behind the nav you have.
I have some problems:
I have a tab-div - you can find the code here: http://pastebin.com/KPpgEBi6. As you can see in this http://i.stack.imgur.com/U2MUn.png where the arrows point, there is some space, the tab doesn't start at the right corner, how can I fix it?
There is also some underline that continues behind the content div.
What to do?

You really don't want to be applying inline styles to primary grid elements like that. Work with your framework, not against it.
The fix here seems to be to align your tabs right:
<div class="container">
<ul class="nav nav-tabs navbar-right pull-right">

Update: The issue is your application of RTL across the site. Reverse it for the nav tabs:
.nav-tabs {
direction: ltr;
}
Demo 2
I am not sure why I can't view content beneath my navbar.All I get is blank in my in place of the <h1>Hello</h1>. Would appreciate some guidance for this code in particular, but also any resources to learn more about how to avoid this problem in the future.

The content is hidden beneath your header .Wrap your content with a div with class container and than let us know .
Here is a jsfiddle
Jsfiddle with padding
<div class=".container">
<h1>Hellow world</h1>
</div>
And add the followingin your css
.container > h1
{
margin-top:70px;
}
Or you can use the following , I suggest using this one :
.container > h1{
padding-top:70px;
}
