Can google script be used to make the list broadcast - google-apps-script

Can google script be used to make the list broadcast api for you tube and the stream and basically can you make the broadcast samples using scripts i have made the other samples but it is unclear if scripts can be used to the broadcast. Also it appears that depending on the manor of which i access the scripts app I get different options. For instance if i access the the scripts app using google drive I can share and other stuff that is not available if i access the google drive though api and the regular free account. I wonder if there is a better way to access to get all the services? I think before the scripts service would not work for the broadcast. however it appears it has been updated is that because i have a credit card on file now? i notice i have more options now than before in scripts.

I found the answer yes you can make broadcast api from you tube ver (3) on google scripts as long as you have a credit card on file. That's cool google deserves to get paid. With out your card key elements are missing in scripts and everyplace else. Makeing it difficult if not impossible for hacks like me to get the api back on the internet. But with a credit card on file wow two clicks and its done no coding nada just change out the public api credential. I just wish this would have been told to me months ago. and please everyone forget about java, go, java-script and everything else if you want a web-service or web app from youtube api. Use in this order Python .php google scripts. But i did learn how to become a expert developer its called master card. this is my experience only and i still think its a great thing but if your not a genius use your card you will feel like one.

Sharing google sheets udfs with coworkers and how to tell if your company uses google apps for work

I read this:
https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guide_libraries
and
Distributing Google Apps Scripts for Sheets in your company network
I have a simple udf for google sheets that I'd like to share with a couple other people. Whenever I need it for a new sheet, I just copy and paste the code into the script editor and run a smaller function in debug mode. Then the computer asks if I give permission to my little script to run and I say yes. If other people want to use my udf, I can't expect them to do the same thing because they're not programmers. Well, I'm not either, but I try. Anyway, is there a way to share it without publishing an add-on or that domain admin sequence of events or anything involving long authentication strings or oauth2.0. all of this is too overwhelming for me as I'm not a real programmer.
Also, is there a way to share the udf without sharing the code, because the code is constructed embarassingly and more importantly, there is some info I'm not sure I'm allowed to share.
Speaking of things I'm not sure of, I'm not sure if this counts as an app for work because we use the app for work, but it seems like your company has to pay for something to be considered an app for work even though these apps seem like they're for free.
Apparently there is an open issue regarding Protect Google App Script. It would be best to follow this ticket to be update on how you would be able to protect your apps script code. Migrating your code to an external script and make it as a library would protect your code from editing but not from viewing.
Creating an app for your company may not be considered as an app for work. According to this document:
Google Apps for Work adds business-specific features such as custom email addresses at your domain (#yourcompany.com), at least 30 GB of storage for documents and email, and 24/7 phone and email support.

Publish a Google script for several documents

I recently created a Google script for my documents but I'd like to know how to authorize all my documents to execute this one, not only the document that I used to develop the script...
First, Is that possible without passing on the store?
I have great news for you! Google says they're working on that!
But also bad news. They've been working on it for four years now, which really means they're not working on it.
See Issue 489, star it and wait for the announcement of project completion. He he!
The topic of sharing scripts among multiple documents has been covered before:

Google Apps Script add code to copy of a document
Can't do it.
Option 1: As those previous answers suggested (and I'm sure there are more), turn your script into a library, then in every document you want to use it you "just" need to add a script that includes the library, and functions that call the library functions.
Option 2: Any stand-alone script can be "tested as an add-on", which allows you to associate a script with any document. Unfortunately, just one document at a time.
Option 3: (Your own suggestion.) You are able to publish through the store, but limit the visibility just to yourself (any account), people with the link (any account) or your organization (domain accounts). If you're using a consumer account, you'll have to pay $5 to register as a developer for this privilege.
I'm uncertain about whether you'd need to wait for a review cycle, or if your add-on would go live immediately, or if you'd be able to skip providing help documentation, support web site, etc. - maybe someone else can weigh in on that via comment, and / or update this answer with details.
The advantage to this would be the ability to have the script in any of your documents, without adding scripts to them.

Google Drive Android SDK: where to start from?

I have been looking all day at the Google Drive SDK for Android,
but I am a bit confused.
I need to make the list of folders and files in the user Google Drive account.
I thought that was a simple, basic standard feature, but maybe not...
Please can you help me?
You have two possible ways to go:
use RESTful API, or
use Google Drive Android Api (GDAA)
I would say the former would be easier to start with.
If you decide to go with the REST, you may use the GitHub demo here, that has both the REST and the GDAA 'CRUD' implementations (you just comment out the one you don't need). It also has some code to deal with the authentication / authorization which you need to do anything on Google Drive. See SO 28439129.
In case you decide to use GDAA, (you still have to get the authorization done), the 'official' to get you started demos are here and here.
You will definitely run into a lot of roadblocks and the solutions are mostly found here under the tag 'google-drive-android-api'.
Good Luck.

Calling a Google Drive SDK from Google App Script application

i have been going around in circles here and have totally confused myself. I need some help.
I am (trying to) writing an application for a client that in concept is simple. he want a google write document with a button. the google drive account has several folders, each shared with several people. when he drops a new file in one of the folders, he wants to be able to open this write file, this file is the template for his email. he clicks the button, the system calls the changes service in the Google Drive SDK https://developers.google.com/drive/manage-changes, gets the list of files that have been added since the last time it was checked, then pull the list of people that the file has been shared with, and use the write file as a template to send that list of people an email saying their file is ready.
SO, easy enough, right?
I started by looking at the built in functions in the Google App Script API. I found this method, https://developers.google.com/apps-script/class_docslist#find in the DocsList class. problem is the description for the query simply says "the query string". So at first i tried the Drive SDK query parameters, which are
var files = DocsList.find("modifiedDate > 2012-12-20T12:00:00-08:00.");
it didn't work. that leads me to believe it is a simple full text search on the content. Thats not good enough.
That lead me into trying to call a Drive SDK method from within an App Script application. Great, we need an OLap 2 authentication. easy enough. found the objects in the script reference and hit my wall.
Client ID and Client Secret.
you see, when i create what this really is, a service account, the olap control in apps script doesn't know how to handle the encrypted json and pass it back and forth. Then when i tried to create and use an installed applications key, i get authentication errors because the controls again, don't know what to do with the workflow. and finally, when i try to create a web app key, i can't because i don't have the site host name or redirect URI. And i can't use the application key ability because since im working with files OLap 2 is required.
i used the anonymous olap for a while, but hit the limit of anonymous calls per day in the effort of trying to figure out the code a bit, thats not going to work because the guy is going to be pushing this button constantly thru the day.
i have been pounding my head on the desk over this for 5 hours now. i need some help here, can anyone give me a direction to go?
PS, yes, i know i can use the database controls and load the entire list of files into memory and compare it to the list of files in the database. problem being, we are talking tens of thousands of files. bad idea.
I wouldn't use DocsList anymore - DriveApp is supposed to be a more reliable replacement. Some of the commands have changed, so instead of find, use searchFiles. This should work more effectively (they even use a query like yours as an example).

Incorporate Google Drive solution in existing Android app project?

I have an existing Android app project which has been already published on the Google Play, and now I would like to incorporate in my app the possibility to use the Google Drive possibilities in order to download *.jpg files directly to the sd card when the app is opened or load for the first time. Like this I liberate the internal memories of the phones where this app is installed (All the images are stored in the resources of the app actually which is >~ 20MB). I have read a lot of forums concerning the Google Drive SDK or API subjects and I can say that I'm a little bit lost on the manner to manage it for my present app. Some ideas or suggestions would be very very very appreciated.
Thank you very much).
Please see this question for the basics on how to integrate your Android app with Google Drive SDK: Access to Google Drive from self implemented Android application
In it, I reference a good Google+ tutorial on how to get started, and it's easy enough to take the concepts and apply them to an existing app. (That's how I did it too.) Before you get started, sign up for the Google APIs (https://code.google.com/apis/console/), get into the API Console, and turn on both the Google Drive API and Drive SDK. This'll make coding go a lot smoother. Let me know if you have any problems.
One addendum for your specific case relating to *.jpg files is you could set a MIME type for fetching strictly the pictures. It'd go something like this:
request = service.files().list(); // .setQ("mimeType=\"text/plain\"");
Unfortunately setQ is commented out because it would fail to return any results when I used it. However, you may have better luck with the image/jpeg MIME type.
