accidently i deleted my chrome user on Windows 7. I tried to restore it, copied C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Profile 1
Everything looks fine expect all of my bookmarks are missing. I've checked and nothing find Bookmarks nor Bookmarks.bak
Have i got any chance to get back my bookmarks?
Thanks.

Right click to "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default" folder and "Restore previous versions" fixed the problem - found the correct version of the file.

I want to download fedora scientific. I tried, of course the official website, but it doesn't work. Where can I download it from? I googled this problem but nobody seems to have it. Am I doing sth wrong?
To be more specific... when I click the download button it redirects me here
and after 2 seconds appears the frustrating 404 Not found.
I went to the fedora forum and found this archive with older versions (I guess), but I don't know exactly what to download from there.
If you may, please help me! Thanks a lot!
It seems like it's not being maintained anymore. There are other ISO files there and the beta releases for v27 labs are there but there's not a scientific one.
I would try getting v25 and then updating the packages (suggestion taken from here).
The archive you found has Fedora Core releases. Oldies but none seems to be your desired Fedora.

When I open Google Chrome I constantly get the error "A PROFILE ERROR OCCURRED: Something went wrong when opening your profile. Some features may be unavailable". Further, when I close Chrome, it will then refuse to open again unless I log out and log back in. This problem has survived logging out and back in to Chrome, uninstalling and reinstalling, and persists even if I am signed out of my Google account. This is occurring on my desktop PC but does not occur on my work PC, and so appears to be a problem with chrome on my PC.
Please help!
Try deleting the file "web data" in :
C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/UserData/Default
And if it doesn't work then also "Local State" File in:
C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/UserData

I am encountering a problem on Google Chrome. There are multiple chrome tasks running in the windows task manager, and when I look at the chrome task manager, there is an extension that consumes a lot of energy. When I kill it, it reappears. The extension has no name (written as 'Extension: '), and since it doesn't close I'm not even able to reinstall the software. I have also tried removing ALL extensions, it still reappears.
Kindly do help since it's slowing Chrome down.

I don't know why but this has been happening for a while now:
In every browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE) there is always a script attached at the end of the code.
That's the script:
http://cupons.dantis.com.br/api/app/landing.php?app=QUMtMjItMEItQkQtODAtQUQ=&aff=999999&partner=999999
It's an adware or something, I blocked the domain coupons.dantis.com.br on my hosts file only so the php script won't run and gather my personal info.
But the script is always there anyways, I have tried unninstalling the browsers and the extensions, I have removed many programs that seemed suspicious, nothing.
I ran Junkware Removal Tool, AdwCleaner, antivirus, Malware Bytes.
I'm desperate.
I need to track the process behind this script inclusion or a way to block it trough the browser.
Image:
Ok, got it!
There was a process called viva.exe
I tracked down the folder where the exe was at, and closed the process. Then deleted the file.
The script is gone.

I have downloaded an extension for chrome, but When I try to add it to chrome I get an error: "This can only be added from the Chrome Web Store".
What should I do?
Espicially I want to add "Chrome Remote Desktop" from here. I downloaded it from This Site.
I tried both answers but I still get the same error.
follow these steps
1) Unzip the .crx (it is ZIP format) into a new directory
2) Remove or rename _metadata/ subdirectory, if present
3) In Chrome browser url type:chrome://extensions/
4) Check on Developer mode.
5) Select "Load unpacked extension..." and select the directory from 1)
