Is it possible to deploy a SSRS report with my id to the report server, if I do not have access to the report server?
If yes, how?

Is it possble to use SSRS for Progress OpenEdge database?

Is it possible to use SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services for Progress OpenEdge database?
I'm able to built a report via Microsoft SQL report builder however unable to connect database via ODBC when publishing .rdl file to SSRS
Below is screeshot (first) how I have connected to database through odbc and (second & third) other 2 connecting from report builder which works fine.
Report builder and Sql report server are on same machine.
However can't see Progress OpenEdge driver on New data Source for SSRS.
Also posted error that i get for .rdl report file uploaded to SSRS but works on fine on same machine report builder.

SSRS and MS Dynamics CRM 4.0

I had to do some changes in SSRS reports and deployed the same in the report server which is connected to CRM 4.0. I am unable to see the updated reports when I run the report in CRM 4.0. Any suggestions?
Thank you
You shouldn't update the report directly in Report Server. For CRM to pickup the changes, you must upload the report via CRM Customisations.
The reason for this is that CRM will modify the report to replace the connection strings and add hidden system-parameters to the report.

Does SSRS need to be installed locally?

In the past I've just always accessed SSRS through a browser. Does it need to be installed on the local machine accessing the SSRS browser page, or do you just need to have the link to the SSRS web location in order to run reports and access report builder there?
Thanks,
Martin

Create reports in Reporting Services in SQL Server 2008

I want to create a report in Reporting Services in SQL Server 2008 but I don't know how can I do that. I create a report in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio but I don't know the relation between this report and Reporting Services in SQL Server 2008.
How can I use Reporting Services and create a report in it?
The report server is where you store your reports so that people can run them centrally. You can deploy your report from BIDS to the report server.
You can also log in to the report server and run a tool called report builder to create and deploy reports without having to use BIDS.
Have a look at the following link for how to get started with reporting services:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb522672(v=sql.105).aspx
Since you already create report, you can directly upload your .rdl file directly to reporting service. If you don't know how to configure your reporting service, please refer to here . You can also use reporting service manage URL to see your uploaded report, and you can also open from there to use report builder to directly edit your report.

SSRS 2012 : report builder and connection string to shared dataset

We are using SQL Server 2012:
one team develops datawarehouse
one team is in charge of reports using Report Builder
We use shared datasets.
When .rdl files are saved on local machine, we can see that <ReportServerURL> is fully embedded in file, in Shared DataSet section. How can we easily deploy the .rdl on another report server (production environment) without having to edit (by hand/script) all .rdl files?
As far as I know <ReportServerURL> is just a hint for Report Builder. It is not used by server, so reports can be safely deployed to another report server
