I am trying to run uefi code in qemu for beagle board using the following command
qemu-system-arm -M beagle -sd beagle_sd.img -serial stdio -clock unix
The sdcard holds uefi, which starts the shell, when this runs I am getting sd card error saying CMD17 is a wrong state. My log
SD: CMD17 in a wrong state
sd_read_data: not in Sending-Data state (state=0)
----above line prints multiple times
sd_read_data: not in Sending-Data state (state=0)MmcIoBlocks(MMC_CMD65553): Error Device Error
EhcCreateUsb2Hc: capability length 0
EhcDriverBindingStart: failed to create USB2_HC
Due to this my uefi shell only maps blk0 and blk1.
Any ideas on how to ahead?

Trying the code below to get back full metrics on profiling a CUDA application results in teh error below.
Code
nvprof --metrics all ./myapp
Error
==8169== Warning: ERR_NVGPUCTRPERM - The user does not have permission to profile on the target device. See the following link for instructions to enable permissions and get more information: https://developer.nvidia.com/ERR_NVGPUCTRPERM
I tried using sudo as suggested but was unable to find the nvcc program.
The easiest solution is to run the profiler as root as below, noting that it may be necessary to use the fully qualified path to find nvcc if it is not in your sudo path.
sudo /usr/local/cuda/bin/nvprof --metrics all ./myapp
There are more permanent solutions available as per https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-development-tools-solutions-err_nvgpuctrperm-permission-issue-performance-counters such as changing permission settings with modprobe. However, I was not able to get these to work.
Different problems, mainly related to the amount of user namespaces.
Trying to run a pre-built image yields:

So I can't really run this thing. Then trying to run a locally built container which creates a user I get:
Error: OCI runtime error: container_linux.go:370: starting container process caused: setup user: invalid argument
Configuration has been set up with subuid
jmerelo:100000:65536
Although
podman unshare cat /proc/self/uid_map
0 1000 1
So there must be something that I'm missing or that I should restart here. Even if I log in again, it's still the same result. So there must be something that I'm doing wrong here.
Same problem solved by following this:
rm -rf ~/.config/containers ~/.local/share/containers
podman system migrate
I am trying to boot QEMU in a terminal.
qemu-system-x86_64 -hda ubuntu.img -cdrom ubuntu-16.04.6-server-amd64.iso -m 2048 -boot d -nographic
ubuntu.img is a blank disk image to install Ubuntu on and the -cdrom is downloaded from the Ubuntu website.
I see the following output:
WARNING: Image format was not specified for 'ubuntu.img' and probing guessed raw.
Automatically detecting the format is dangerous for raw images, write operations on block 0 will be restricted.
Specify the 'raw' format explicitly to remove the restrictions.
warning: TCG doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.vmx [bit 5]
And then nothing else.
Is this a fatal error? Do I need to do something else to boot Ubuntu? I can access the monitor (C-a c), but I'm not sure where to go from there.
I've configured Caffe environment on my Mac for several times. But this time I encountered a problem I've never met before:
I use Intel's MKL for accelerating computation instead of ATLAS, and I use Anaconda 2.7 and OpenCV 2.4, with Xcode 7.3.1 on OS X 10.11.6.
when I
make all -j8
in terminal under Caffe's root directory, the error info is:
AR -o .build_release/lib/libcaffe.a
LD -o .build_release/lib/libcaffe.so.1.0.0-rc5
clang: warning: argument unused during compilation: '-pthread'
ld: can't map file, errno=22 file '/usr/local/cuda/lib' for architecture x86_64

I've tried many times, does anyone can help me out?
This looks like you haven't changed Makefile.config from GPU to CPU mode. There shouldn't be anything trying to actively link that library. I think the only CUDA one you should need is libicudata.so
Look for the lines
# CPU-only switch (uncomment to build without GPU support).
# CPU_ONLY := 1
and remove the octothorpe from the front of the second line.

I assume it's a kind of script or makefile who is calling this command and the command is defined as a variable. And the variable is not assigned. Something like that?
