I have created a Facebook canvas app, and I have set the web and mobile URLs in the app settings accordingly.
I want the user to select on 1 link, and if they are on a mobile to be taken to the website itself, but desktop users be directed to the app within Facebook.
What I am having trouble finding is; what URL I should be posting to my Facebook followers as a status? I'm not sure what URL utilisises the mobile URL setting.
Can anyone tell me what I should be using?

I know we can create multi-link QR codes for mobile but is there anything similar for the desktop?
The functionality you're looking for can reside at the URL in the QR code. The embedded URL could link to a webpage that checks user agents and redirects appropriately. If the Safari on iOS user agent is detected, redirect to Apple's App Store. An Android user agent would be redirected to an appropriate app store. I would set all other user agents to go to a product page with links to both stores.
This could be a nice example!
I have a standalone Adobe AIR application which uses the HTMLloader to embed a webpage and thereby access the Facebook login.
When a user first uses the application thery are first presented with a FB login screen, and then a FB authorization screen, asking if the user wants to share the uploaded image with their friends.
Up until recently everything worked fine.
But it seems that facebook has changed the way the authorization popup displays so my htmlloader no longer can 'see it'. I get a blank page.

Supplying an optional userAgent string when I first call login returns an older version of the permissions dialog which renders correctly
So I have a website with functional redirects to both the Google play store and the itunes store. Using the WeChat messaging application I can open an in-app browser to view the webpage and do everything I normally would.
The problem surfaces when using WeChat on an iPhone. I can see both links and click on either of them, but the itunes link does redirect as desired. Keep in mind that this is not a problem on Android, both links redirect properly inside the app on my Android phone.
The goal is to have the button open up the actual itunes store app, and not link to the itunes webpage but even using itms itms-apps the connection doesn't go through. On said iPhone in Safari and Chrome, these buttons link properly. It is only in WeChat that the itunes redirect button does not work.
I've tried adding an additional page that the button redirects to, which is
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL='http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/myapp/myappid'" /> but it just loads the blank the page and freezes because of the failure to redirect. In fact, simply trying to load http://itunes.apple.com in the app results in failure.
Perusing StackOverflow I found this post about linking to the app-store but none of the answers really helped.
So I'm hoping some one has some idea of what to do or has some experience with a workaround for a situation like this since WeChat is integral to my app's performance.

I still haven't found a solution to my problem, but I've managed to get a lead. The only link to iTunes that works in any way is http://mzstatic.com, but the problem is that I can't seem to find the proper parameters to link to an app. Everything that I've seen online seems to show using the link to grab images.

Im developing a web with facebook share link function. I notice facebook mobile apps will open shared link in its own browser, instead of mobile broswer (IE. safari, chrome and so on). Is there any control on this able us to force facebook open the link in mobile browser?
No. The only reliable workaround is if you use the web app with an iOS app, and all users install that iOS app, you can send users to your iOS app to accomplish that task which isn't a great workaround.
An easier but still not optimal solution would be to detect the Facebook browser in the user-agent string, and display a message to prompt users to visit the URL in the mobile browser.
I'm developing a mobile wep app, and would like to allow my users to login using Facebook connect.
I initially implemented the standard Oauth2 authentication, but I found a couple issues:
When I install the app as a home screen shortcut and the user needs to authenticate the user is redirected to facebook's site for authentication in normal safari. When the user is redirected back, the user is still in safari (with the top and bottom nav bars). This is obviously sub-optimal as I'd like to have the full-screen appearance
I can't get logout to work properly, there appears to be a m_user cookie left on facebook.com that is the username of the user that was previously logged in.
I thought, perhaps, that I could switch to the javascript SDK for facebook connect and render a pop-over instead of the redirect dance, but it looks like this is a pop-up only experience. When I try it on the simulator it appears the home screen shortcut is broken out of to safari, and then after login the user isn't even logged in (and the screen remains blank).
Any ideas on the smoothest way of using Facebook connect on a mobile web (HTML5) app, especially if the homescreen shortcut is to be retained?
