We are using a web application in html5 and I want to integrate the developed ssrs reports into it. I want to create a report viewer for displaying the reports in my web application. I do not want to use .aspx page or any mvc page. I want the report viewer in html5.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me as if you are requesting that Microsoft add a .NET library or some "embeddable control" that you can put into an html5 project. Currently, I do not believe that there is a control for displaying the reports in html5 as you are requesting. You must use a work around as suggested by Coder of Code.

If you are just trying to show the HTML render of a report and you want it to look like a native object to the application without any parameters or toolbar, then you could call the URL for the report directly and include "&rc:Toolbar=false" in the URL. This will hide the toolbar for the Report Viewer control. This method is described under the URL Access Parameter Reference msdn article. Not exactly what you asked for, but it may achieve the purpose.
You can use the Reporting server's URL for your report as it returns the data in the HTML format and show that that in the IFrame in HTML. I never did it but this approach can work by setting the Iframes URL as the reporting servers URL which will be something like this,

Background:
I need to allow users to create web pages for various products, with each page having a standard overall appearance. So basically, I will have a template, and based on the input data I need the HTML page to be generated for each product. The input data will be submitted via a web form, following which the data should be merged with the template to produce the output.
I initially considered using a pure templating approach such as Nunjucks, but moved to ReactJS as I have prior experience with the latter.
Problem:
Once I display the output page (by adding the user input to the template file with placeholders), I am getting the desired output page displayed in the browser. But how can I now obtain the HTML code for this specific page?
When I tried to view the source code of the page, I see the contents of 'public/index.html' stating:
This HTML file is a template.
If you open it directly in the browser, you will see an empty page.
Expectedly, the same happens when I try to save (Save As...) the html page via the browser. I understand why the above happens.
But I cannot find a solution to my requirement. Can anyone tell me how I can download/save the static source code for the output page displayed on the browser.
I have read possible solutions such as installing 'React/Redux Development Extension' etc... but these would not work as a solution for external users (who cannot be expected to install these extensions to use my tool). I need a way to do this on production environment.
p.s. Having read the "background" info of my task, do let me know if you can think of any better ways of approaching this.

My app is currently actually just a single page, that accepts user data via a form and displays the output (in a full screen dialog). I don't wish to have these output pages 'published' on the website, and these are simply to be saved/downloaded for internal use. So simply being able to get the "source code" for the dislayed view/page on the browser and saving this to a file would solve my problem. But I am not sure if there is a way to do this?
Its recommended that you use a well-known site generator such as Gatsby or Next for your static sites since "npx create-react-app my-app" is for single page apps.

If I'm understanding correctly, you need to generate a new page link for each user. Each of your users will have their own link (http/https) to share with their users.
For example, a scheduling tool will need each user to create their own "booking page", which is a generated link (could be on your domain --> www.yourdomain.com/bookinguser1).
You'll need user profiles to store each user's custom page, a database, and such. If you're not comfortable, I'll use something like an e-commerce tool that will do it for you.
You can turn on the debugger (f12) and go to "Elements"
Then right-click on the HTML tag and press edit as HTML
And then copy everything (ctrl + a)
I am using the ionic framework and would like to be able to read from the HTML from the current webpage and then send the selection back to my application.
I have the Theme-able Browser Plugin setup and can use it like any other web browser.
I have tried looking at ways to include my own script with the .executeScript() function but no luck.
I have also tried to read data from custom buttons that I have inserted into the tool/nav bar but that gives me the HTML of my application.
TL;DR: (Basically want access to the DOM of the current webpage and have the user use native selection to read the document.getSelection() and send that text back to my application.)

After browsing the forums on Ionic I found the solution:

I have a Visualforce page through which I am trying to access a SDK. It is done using ActiveX control. The VB + JS script that I have runs fine when it is a normal HTML page residing on my desktop. However the same code when incorporated in Visualforce does not work. Does running ActiveX control require uploading any kind of files to Static Resource? My code need not be a Visualforce. If there is any other way I could integrate ActiveX with Salesforce, even that would be fine.

If you need somewhere to host the .cab (or .ocx) file, then you can put that in a static resource, and reference that from your VF code.
What browser are you using to test? If IE6 it may need you to enable the ActiveX controls.
If you go to Tools->Internet Options->Security Tab. Click ‘Custom’ and OK any message. Then scroll down to ‘Script Active X Controls ….’. This should be enabled.'

I would like to try this in Sharepoint (as the built in Sharepoint one is awful (no cross browser at all and flaky on IE) I tried the Telerik free one but it was not very stable.
I guess that getting the control up on a page won't be too hard, but how do I make sure the resulting HTML is stored in the Sharepoint way(tm)?

If you intend to replace the standard SharePoint rich text editor, you would likely find it much easier to use jQuery than the ajax control toolkit. The MS ajax controls have a server component - you may be able to get it into a custom column type, but it's going to be a lot easier if you just replace the textbox with something better clientside.
The standard control works in a similar way - a standard textbox containing html is created on the server, and javascript is used to hide that and connect it to the rich text editor.
There is really nothing you need to do to format the HTML for SharePoint. If you are working with a field control you can expect that SharePoint will strip out a lot of the HTML from your control.
I am using SQL 2005 reporting services (SSRS) with the web report viewer control. It is showing the report inside an IFRAME on the web page. If I implement a drill down functionality, by attaching a URL action to a chart elements, the navigation will happen only inside the IFRAME. I know how to set the target frame for navigation on a normal HTML page. But in the report definition (RDL) I can't find any property to select the target frame.
Any solution or workaround?
hmm it appparently didnt post my last reply. You might try adding the rc:LinkTarget querystring parameter to the IFRAME src. I use "&rc:LinkTarget=_blank" on some charts displayed in an IFRAME and they open the full report correctly.

I don't believe that the RDL has that option built in. Try adding it as a connect item and see if they will add it to a future version of SQL Server.
If you override the HTML Render method, and pass some DeviceInfo parameters, you can accomplish this.
