How to verify the local business by phone in google map ? I didn't see any field area to put my number? - google-maps

When I go to this link: https://support.google.com/business/answer/2911778, there is verification by phone option and I clicked on into your dashboard but in dashboard I could not find input field for phone number. How can I verify in this condition by phone?

I was able to reproduce this issue.
According to the Google documentation on Create and verify a local business on Google, You can only verify your business through phone if you are verifying a business that is already on Google. If you want verify a new business on Google than you have to verify it by postcard that will reach your address with which you have registered your business in 1-2 weeks.
Hope this would help!!

Enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project

I want to retrieve address from lat long coords. I have created project in google console. Added Billing information and enabled the geocoding api services. But still when i make this request i am getting the below error
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?latlng=41.89,12.49&key=xxxx
You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable
I was also Facing the same issue, Billing is enabled and is linked to the project but I was getting the same Error.
After Spending enough time on this issue, I understood that the type of my billing account is "Google Cloud Platform", but it should be of type : "Google Maps Platform"
You can see the type of your billing account on the right side of Billing Overview as in the image:
So please check if your Billing type is "Google Maps Platform", if not create a new Billing Account with "Google Maps Platform" as type and link your project to this Billing Account.
Most of us are getting this response/error
{
"error_message" : "You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at <br>https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable Learn more at https://developers.google.com/maps/gmp-get-started",
"predictions" : [],
"status" : "REQUEST_DENIED"
}
If you will read this answer throughly you'll be able to sort out this issue.
As mentioned in this answer.
You'd have to create a separate billing account in order to use Google Map APIs because google map bills in USD currency instead of your native currency.
Solution(3 step)
create a new billing account.
create a new project and associate it with above billing.
enable Map API and create a new API key. that's it.
Step1: create a new billing account, you can use this link https://console.cloud.google.com/billing/create and Choose Google Map Platform from the dropdown.
Step2: create a new project using this link https://console.cloud.google.com/projectcreate and use billing account created above.
Step3: Now you can enable particular API and you're good to go. That's it.
Make sure that the API key you are using to authenticate the request is from a project that has an active billing account. If not, your requests will fail and if you are using Javascript API, your map will get the "Degraded experience".
Below are some of the links we have that could be helpful in your use case.
Managing your billing accounts
Modify a project's billing settings
Viewing your cost trends with billing reports
Once everything is set up, you can always file a support case via https://console.cloud.google.com/google/maps-apis/support in order to open personalized communication channel whenever you are encountering issues with our product.
Thank you and hope this helps!
Go back to the billing account and see if something went wrong with your credit card. Credit cards are validated asynchronously.
Go to the GCP Console and verify that your billing account is assigned to the project.
In the GCP Console check for past due amounts.
After you assign/modify a credit card, wait. The process is not instant in (re)authorizing billing for your account.
I had the same issue. I was doing everything correct.
then I found this link
Gmp india faq
The problem was Google maps billing doesn't support INR Currency.
Please check if your currency compatible with Google Maps billing platform otherwise create new billing account with USD currency.
Thanks!

I have had similar problem, when I have created a free tire payment account and I was not able to create a Windows VM as thesse are paid.
To fix I have "upgraded" the free tier payment account. It was confusing because the payment account has had enabled a valid payment method and linked to the project but it was not working.
There is a button to upgrade the free tier payment account, on the account dashboard page.
For those of you who enabled their billing account through the link in the error message but still get the error, or can't find "Enabled google service" as someone else suggested, simply just delete your browsers cache and try again.
For anyone still struggling , my case was that i have reached a maximum of projects for the same billing account and for some reason i couldnt create a new one as mentioned above , for that after a lot of reasearch i found that i could disable billing for some project so i can use it in new ones :
1- go to the link https://console.cloud.google.com/billing/projects
2- click on the three dots for the first projects (the billing is enbale for those projects).
3-disable one of them
4- enable the billing for your new project and you are good to go !
however still not sure why i could only enable this for just 3 project , i think it is not a lot !
Use:
gcloud alpha billing accounts list --format json
# ^^ find an active billing account then
ACCOUNT_ID='0XYXYX-XYXYXY-XYXYXY'
gcloud beta billing projects link $PROJECTNAME --billing-account $ACCOUNT_ID
# ensure it says "billingEnabled: true"

Google MAP API | Push Notification for Website

I am using Google Maps API for a project whose functionality is something like below
Functionality achieved:
When user sign in they see map and their current location is traced. Users can mark their favorite location and add a comment.
Functionality required and I need help in:
When any user passes through any location in real time, then my web application should send a notification saying "you are someone's favorite place do you want to add comment and xyz..."
Can anyone help me even with a hint on how I can achieve this for the web application?
P.S: I am not using any mobile application for this purpose. This is a web application.
It sounds like you're already set up with getting the user's location through the browser geolocation api when the page loads. My suggestion is to get the user's location again on a certain interval, every couple minutes maybe. If the new location is more than a little bit different than the previous location, send an ajax request to your server, see if the new location is near one of these favorite places, and if so, display a notification that they are near this place.

Windows phone 8 dialor

I am pretty new to Windows phone development. I want to create an application that will be displayed as an option to the user, when the user dial a number or select 'call' option from a saved contact, for routing the call through that application. The application first dial some number to connect to a specific service provider and then dial the number on the selected contact or the number that the user dials to make the call. I had an experiment with the PhoneCallTask but not succeeded. Any help will be appreciated.
First, there is no way to put your app's shortcut in Phone app. I assume what you are looking for is a call interceptor app. Currently, the builds till WP8.1 don't support it. There are possibilities of such API in the final Windows 10 build though.
Please use a search engine to look for API limitations first and then ask a question in SO.

Submit app on Windows Phone Store Brazil

I try to submit an app on All Windows phone Stores but i don't know why the app is unavailable on the brazilian store, I have the message "Esse aplicativo não está disponível em seu mercado." (This application is not available in your market.) and there is no way to download the app.
I have found some tutorials explaining that a certification is needed to post an app on the brazilian store. So, I have joined a PEGI certification with the app but there is no change, the app is always unavailable.
So, is there a delay for the validation or have I missed something ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I have finaly found a solution to my problem.
When we want send an app, in the windows phone dev center, we have three choice for the Marcket Distribution in the description of the app :
-"Distribute to all available marckets at the base price tier",
-"Distribute to all marckets except China"
-"Continue distributing to current marckets"
When I have published my app for the first time, I have selected "Distribute to all available marcket at the base price tier" but I didn't upload the brazilian's certificate because app was juste available on the French store.
And, when I have wanted publish the app on the brazilian store, I have just selected "Continue distributing to current markets".
So I think that when I have published app for the first time, an list of the available country have been generated without brazil because there wasn't the certificate and when I have added the brazilian certificate and select "Continue distributing to current markets", the list must have not been updated.
So, to resolve my probleme, I just re-select "Distribute to all available marcket at the base price tier", in the Windows Phone Dev Center, with the brazilian certificate and the list must have been re-genenated.

Notify user when destination reached in windows phone 8

My windows phone 8 App requires the end user to get notified or alerted when a destination has reached.
I found some links on how to use service API's, but most of them have only searching the destination. Can we extend the functionality of notifying the user on reaching the destination.
Any suggestive links or API's or code snippets available for the same?.
Thanks In Advance!!..
Subscribe to the position changed event from the GeoLocator. Once the position you get from this API is within a small distance of the destination, handle accordingly.
