In v2 we had the api endpoint: vimeo.albums.getVideos where you could specify a particular album id to get its videos.
In v3 I do not see an equivalent, only the https://api.vimeo.com/me/albums/{album_id} which is only for the logged in user.
Am I looking past it, or has the album by id been removed? (I am still collecting info for specs so not yet able to experiment with things like /album/{album_id})
TIA
/me is simply an alias for /users/{user_id}.
If you know the users user_id and the album id you can get the videos with /users/{user_id}/albums/{album_id}/videos
Have the code set up to where I can actually try it now, and yes:
https://api.vimeo.com/albums/<album_id>/videos
works fine, although undocumented. Hopefully that's just an omission & there's no plans to remove it.

I'm currently looking at reading out posts and related json data from a given number of Instagram users using the following URL:
https://www.instagram.com//media/
This will only bring back the latest 20 posts. I have done some hunting around and I am unable to see how to form the url to bring back the next 20 results. I've seen some places that have suggested using max_timestamp, but I can't see how to make this work.
For various reasons I do not wish to use the standard Instagram API.
You should use a max_id parameter to pagination.
Example: https://www.instagram.com/[user-login]/media/?max_id=[last-min-id], where [last-min-id] is a minimal id from previous page. The id does not repeat in new page.
This endpoint 'https://www.instagram.com/[user-login]/media/' is currently turned off in the last few days, unsure exactly when.
If you are dependant on it, you might want to check it now in your apps.
e.g. https://www.instagram.com/fosterandpartners/media/
I was surfing gaana.com music website that has also released its developer version api.gaana.com. The documentation of api is here http://developer.gaana.com/resources/meta-data-api/tracks/
I wish to query the database but i am struggling with the syntax and I am unable to follow the documentation guidelines. try and retry got me a Json result but I dont know how to put conditions.
Example, I want to search the database for all tracks where the artist name is "kishor kumar" and the rating/popularity of the track is 10. I tried the below url but it does not satisfy the artist name. Can someone help me how to use this api?
http://api.gaana.com?type=song&subtype=most_popular&token=b2e6d7fbc136547a940516e9b77e5990&format=JSON&order=alltime&language=hindi
In the Search API(Search Song) you can see,
APIURL/?type=search&subtype=search_song&key=disco deewane
Just replace disco deewane with kishore kumar.
For example, http://api.gaana.com/?type=search&subtype=search_song&key=kishore%20kumar&token=b2e6d7fbc136547a940516e9b77e5990&format=JSON&order=alltime&language=hindi
There are 6486 tracks listed.
I'm trying to get the hours of TF2 played from Steam profiles for an application I'm developing. I'm not very experienced at manipulating JSON, so I'm not sure if the API is bad or if I'm bad.
According to this: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_Web_API#GetOwnedGames_.28v0001.29 I can call include_played_free_games to show TF2. However when I make a web request using this: http://api.steampowered.com/IPlayerService/GetOwnedGames/v1/?key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&include_played_free_games=true&format=json&steamid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The request is valid, however TF2, appid 440, doesn't show up. So am I going crazy, or should this be working?
The user has to have played the game at some point for it to be returned when specifying 'include_played_free_games'.
From the API Documentation:
include_played_free_games: By default, free games like Team Fortress 2
are excluded (as technically everyone owns them). If
include_played_free_games is set, they will be returned if the player
has played them at some point. This is the same behavior as the games
list on the Steam Community.
The url requires a numeric value '1' for the parameters and will not work if you use 'true'. The following url worked for me when using my own steam id and web key:
http://api.steampowered.com/IPlayerService/GetOwnedGames/v0001/?key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&include_played_free_games=1&include_appinfo=1&format=json&steamid=XXXXXXXXXXX
Does anyone know how to get the ID of the poster? The platform I use is Google's blogger.com
I know I can get the id of the posting by:
data:post.id
But how can I get the id of the author?
According to https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/47270?hl=en#posts, you can't.
You can only only use
data:post.author
to know author's name, but not author's id.
Be aware that I have found some data tags which work but are not listed there, even though it's the official documentation. But in this case I think it's not possible, because some time ago I also wanted this, and I couldn't find anything.
I'm having trouble with posting an image from my canvas application to the user's albums. According to the Facebook docs:
In order to publish a photo to a user’s album, you must have the publish_stream permission. With that granted, you can upload a photo by issuing an HTTP POST request with the photo content and an optional description to one these to Graph API connections:
https://graph.facebook.com/USER_ID/photos - The photo will be published to an album created for your app. We automatically create an album for your app if it does not already exist. All photos uploaded this way will then be added to this same album.
https://graph.facebook.com/ALBUM_ID/photos - The photo will be published to a specific, existing photo album, represented by the ALBUM_ID.
So, going by point one, if I upload an image like this...
Facebook.api("me/photos",imagePostCallback,{message:"",image:myImageBitmap,fileName:''},URLRequestMethod.POST);
...then I can expect it to place my image in an album named for my app, which it will create if necessary?
Not so.
What actually happens when the album doesn't exist is that the uploaded image is pushed into any other handy albums that exist, which are usually for (and created by) other applications. This is a bit of a pain.
So far I've tried the following:
Disabling sandbox mode. I had thought that the app might be unable to create new albums because it was in sandbox mode, however disabling sandbox mode made no difference and I can create albums directly with it enabled.
Checking for the existence of my album and creating it if necessary. I can check for my album and create it if it does not exist, but I cannot then upload an image because the POST call to Facebook.api to upload the image will fail if it is not called as a direct result of a user interaction.
And so now I'm a bit stumped. Obviously I can't have the possibility of my app posting images to a competitors album, but at the moment the only alternative I can see will involve effectively making the user submit their image twice if an album has to be created. Any ideas?
I'm guessing you need the access_token in your params :) When posting something on a user's facebook, you always need this one (not always necessary when getting information). The way to get the accesstoken is shown below :)
public function post():void
{
var _params:Object = new Object();
_params.access_token = Facebook.getSession().accessToken;
_params.message = "";
_params.image = myImageBitmap;
_params.fileName = "";
Facebook.api("me/photos", imagePostCallback, _params, URLRequestMethod.POST);
}
also make sure that you have the right permissions when asking for permissions with your app.
EDIT
Ok, so I've missed your edit a bit there ;) it should be possible to create your own album. Take a look at this php-code for graph api. The code should also be able to be parsed to AS3.
http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/498/
EDIT2
ok, i've done some more digging (seemed interesting to know). This should actually work when using graph api.
FB.api('/me/albums', albumCreateCallback, {name: 'name of the album', message: 'description of the album'}, URLRequestMethod.POST);
When you then call for another api call to upload your image in the albumCreateCallback, it should work and upload your image (according to what i've found).
