I am working on re-purposing the designer with my custom elements added to the palette.
In the generated code the ids for the elements are obviously created from the element name and then a digit is appended based on how many you add.
I want to generate these ids differently and then hide them from the user Property list; but I cannot see where in the code they are being created.
Seems that it would be in design-canvas.html or in design-code.html but if so, which function?
Any pointers to where this code is located would be appreciated.

I use custom code snippet for Sublime Text like custom comments, function, reusable block code, CDN and more.. but I could not do that in WebStorm and PhpStorm IDE.
Here is my building block code snippet (comments) for Sublime Text:
/*============================
comments
============================*/
and this code blocks for HTML5 comments
<!-----------------------
comments

Moreover I'm new user for JetBrains software. Can I use custom code snippet above in JetBrains software ?
It's called Live Templates in JetBrains IDEs.
Available at Settings/Preferences | Editor | Live Templates.
You can use existing Live Templates as is, alter them to your needs or create your own.
Creating own is better be done in own group -- they will be stored in separate config file so easier to share, no possible conflicts with built-in ones (easier to update between versions etc.). It also makes perfect sense to use separate group per language -- the same abbreviation can be used for different languages/context but abbreviation within the same group must be unique.
BTW -- I'd say -- do not edit built-ins at all -- just disable specific built-in template and create your own version of it in separate group. This way you can always see what fix/change devs have made in new IDE version etc.
Full official tutorial/how-to is available here: https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/PhpStorm/Live+Templates+%28Snippets%29+in+PhpStorm

Finally I get a tips ! PhpStorm allows you to create your own live templates (code snippets) to optimise your workflows.
Open the settings dialog and head into Editor | Live Templates, you can see the available live templates grouped by language. To add a new template click the + (plus) button and select Live Template. Specify the abbreviation (the short bit of text you type that will be expanded to the full code snippet) and a description.
Then provide the full code snippet in the Template text field. You can include variables in the template in the format $<variable name>$, which will allow you to provide values when the template is expanded. PhpStorm recognises $END$ as a special variable indicating the final position of the cursor after the template has been expanded and values have been provided for all variables.
Next click the Define warning text to specify which language the template is for and optionally the context it is available in.
Now the template is ready to be used. Open a file and type the abbreviation that was specified earlier, then hit Tab to expand the template. The cursor will be positioned on the first variable, provide a value then hit Tab to keep moving through all available variables. The final position of the cursor will be the location of the $END$ variable.

I don't think you can do this, however you can add custom tags in Settings > Editor > TODO.
//TODO & //FIXME are already implemented.
But this custom tags are not working for HTML.
Maybe you can find an extension to do that in Settings > Plugins.
I've an issue after clicking in repeater list item, I get two items in the detail page instead of one element.
This repeater is for Booking elements and I've added the follow transformation: "Transformation" and "Selected item transformation".
The "Selected item transformation" is applied but I get two elements in the page after apply this transformation.
I tried to add a data list and instead of to get two elements after clicking on an element I get four.
I'm new in Kentico maybe it is a configuration issue.
Below I detail the configuration for the repeater web part:
Content/Path:/Events/%
Content filter/Page types: CMS.BookingEvent
Content filter/Category name: {%SiteContext.CurrentCategory.CategoryName#%}
Do you have any idea about what can be the problem?
If you need more information please let me know and I'll send you.
You can check following below things
Does the listed page & detail page uses same page template (is it inherited)?
Need to check Selected item transformation, is it setup right?.
For testing you can remove category filter and then check.
Make sure are you using <%# GetDocumentUrl() %> in list page Transformation
Thanks
Does the listed page uses same page template (is it inherited)? Do you have just one repeater on that page?
The selected item transformation renders on target page (detail of listed page) but the page needs to use same page template (or inherit the one that is on parent page listing page)
Alternatively, don't specify selected transformation and make the repeater on target page to display just its properties.
Check list and details pages. In your case details page should inherit template from list page.
Your repeater is responsible for showing list and details, so make sure there is no extra web part (another repeater or any other viewer) that shows details only.
Also try to check Hide on child pages setting in your repeater - this will help you to figure out if repeated renders 2 details (in case no details shows now) or there is another web part for details (in case only one item details appear now).
This page is using the selected item transformation correct? And this happens when you are navigating to the event page (/Event/CustomEvent1)?
Does this happen for every event? Does the event page url have any special characters in it? I have had an issue before if the page has an _ in the name and url, it will break the repeater. This was fixed in a hotfix in K9.
If you are still running with this issue, I'd suggest to remove SelectedItemTransformation and display detailed content on specific document i.e. /Event/CustomEvent1. You can use either repeater for read current document only and set detailed Transformation in "Transformation" property itself DON't use "SelectedItemTransformation" in this case.
Thanks so much for all the answers, they were pretty useful for me.
The problem was related with the inherited template. In my "Listed page" on template tab I chose the option "Clone template as ad-hoc". I've checked in the detail pages that the template option was in "Inherit from parent".
I realized too that in the root template which I've used in the "Listed page" there were a repeater, then I removed it and the problem was fixed.
Thanks so much again.
Kind regards,
Max
I have a HTML page that displays a SVG element (a Business process diagram) using some javascript libraries. A String variable, say 'str' needs to be given to html function.
After reading this, I plan to use widgets. So far I understand that I need to copy all scripts to Widgets: Test. For creating the hook, I write
{{#widget:Test|str=UserTask_1}}
The problem is that UserTask_1 is a variable as well. It is different each time.
Can someone help how can I add this dynamic information to my hook? This hook is a hyperlink from a previous page. In the previous page, I send the str=UserTask_1 through JavaWiki Bot.
PS: I have come-across SMW for first time. Please excuse if my language is not very technical at the moment.
Thanks.
Is it possible to have a fixed structure for the HTML using CKEditor. For example, HTML5 placeholders are shown in editor as user hints so user know where to enter what content. Further, it should be possible that user shouldn't be able to change the structure.
An example structure may look like this and placeholder text is shown till user enters the text.
Title Only
....
...
...
As mentioned above, user shouldn't be able to change the structure/order of the sections.
This is a perfect use case for a CKEditor widget.
In short, widgets are special rich content units in that they are groups of elements which are treated as a single entity inside the editor. Once developed, their structure (but not necessarily their content) is immutable and enforced by the CKEditor instance they are used in. These entities can thus be selected and deleted or moved freely as a whole around the editing area, keeping their predefined structure intact. At the same time all the individual parts of the widget (its "building blocks") can be edited or configured separately, again, without affecting the whole widget entity and its structure in the process. Read more here: http://docs.ckeditor.com/#!/guide/dev_widgets
In your case, you could have a look at the sample Simple Box widget which is demoed here and actually created step-by-step in this tutorial. It creates a simple template widget with an immutable structure and pre-defined fields for the users to fill in. What's more, thanks to ACF (CKEditor content filtering mechanism) you are even able to define the elements (and their attributes, styles, classes) that are allowed in each of the widget parts.
Widgets are a really powerful tool, you can see some other implementations of the widget API in the widget demo.
I have an control, to which I want to add a custom html attribute called, previousValue.
The Salesforce Developer's Guide assures me that I can do this by prefixing the attribute name with html-.
So I have an element that appears thus:. I also have the docType="html-5.0" attribute in my page control.
However, in Eclipse I get an 'unsupported attribute' error. I have upgraded to the latest force.com IDE; can any one tell me why this isn't working? What else do I need to do?
Thanks.
After much experimentation, the answer to this seems to be that the salesforce developer's guide is inaccurate and the 'hmtl-' prefix is not supported by the <apex:inputField> component. I can add it without a problem to an <apex:outputPanel> component. Don't understand why this should be so and the whole point to using these attributes is to locate data in a relevant place and avoid complex jquery selects to find the data relative to the location at which it is required.
