I've got a dll I'm trying to register that has a reference to Castle.Core.dll 3.0.0.0. However, I can't find this specific version. The closest I've found (for .net 4) is 3.0.0.2227. I've checked the Castle Project official site, and their project on Sourceforge...
The exact message I get:
RegAsm : error RA0000 : Could not load file or assembly 'Castle.Core, Version=3.
0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=407dd0808d44fbdc' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The Castle Project doesn't include the TeamCity build number in the assembly version, only the file version, this is to avoid breaking the strong name on each build. The build you've found is very likely the one you want.
Version 3.0.0 binaries were released on sourceforge before we moved to using GitHub releases.

This is an extract of what you'll see in our build scripts:
[assembly: AssemblyVersion("$(AssemblyVersion_Major).$(AssemblyVersion_Minor).$(AssemblyVersion_Build).0")]
[assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("$(Project_Major).$(Project_Minor).$(Project_Build).$(Build_Revision)")]
[assembly: AssemblyInformationalVersion("$(Project_Major).$(Project_Minor).$(Project_Build)$(BuildName)")]

I followed Building From Source https://github.com/primefaces/primefaces/wiki/Building-From-Source instructions. Building the SNAPSHOT version project from command works well.
However, importing it into eclipse using the Existing Maven Projects wizard gives me a lot of errors in the Problems view. I fixed the lifecycle mappings by setting all to ignore.
I realized the generated source code in the target/generated-sources/maven-jsf-plugin directory but it was not picked up by the m2e plugins as a source folder automatically. So I included it into the eclipse build path manually. But then again, many compile errors show up in the generated code.
Does anybody use eclipse as IDE for primefaces development? How do you setup the eclipse project to develop primefaces?
The eclipse project uses Java Compiler compliance level 1.5 derived from the pom.xml maven-compiler-plugin settings. Setting the Java Compiler compliance level to 1.6 solved the issue for me.
I'm using the CodePlex-hosted Microsoft.SqlServer.IntegrationServices.Build project to build a DLL that contains the MSBuild tasks for building SSIS packages via MSBuild.exe.
I also am using an MSBuild proj file that's floating around the web.

I've opened the CodePlex project, disabled signing, switched it to 4.6.1 and built the DLL and corrected paths etc. and go it semi-working. However MSBuild spits this error:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I've installed SSDT latest for Visual Studio 2015. I have various SQL Server editions installed on my dev PC. The DLL seems to be present; I've copied all I need into one folder for the moment.
Open the CodePlex project again and remove the reference to Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS.
Look on your local disk for the missing Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap.dll and note the version(s) you have available.
Now look on your disk for Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS.dll and note the version(s).
Re-add the reference but make sure you pick a DLL for which you also have the version of the 'wrap' available.
Now make sure those DLLs are (re)copied over into your working folder or whatever.
If you're still having problems, you may need to copy some files around so that MSBuild.exe can find them or edit/create a config file for MSBuild.
How to solve: Custom MSBuild task requires assembly outside of AppBase
I recently registered Mysql.Data.dll assembly in GAC on 64bit Ubuntu 14.4 to use it following this example with an ASP.NET Mono project and verified.
I realized that although it is registered in GAC, it's not directly usable from Edit references dialogue on Monodevelop.
I tried to see how can this be made possible, the possibilities exists for Visual Studio which is something I don't need.
Doubts:
If the assembly is un-usable what is the concept of registering it in GAC?
How can this assembly be provided by a package (and advertised through a .pc file?
How can this assembly be bundled together with the application?
Are the steps I followed incorrect?
We've got a project using Ormlite.MySql built for .NET 4.0.
Ormlite and its dependencies are loaded via NuGet (it's ServiceStack.Ormlite.MySql 3.9.54), including MySql.Data 6.6.5.
When we try to run the code, however, we get a dependency error:
Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.6.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The ServiceStack.OrmLite.MySql package in NuGet lists MySql.Data as a dependency, but doesn't list any specific version. In reflector, I can see that ServiceStack.OrmLite.MySql.dll is, in fact, referencing 6.6.4.0 of MySql.Data.dll.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I hate to hack the config file to redirect assmbly binding in general (always feels like a kludge).
I've just encountered the same problem. I solved it by downloading the Mysql.data.dll version 6.6.4.0 from servicestack on github: https://github.com/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.OrmLite/blob/master/lib/MySql.Data.dll
I had the same error. Just install with nuget : Mysql.data (it work for me)
nuget install the right version : "6.6.4"
(you could verify the version number in the nuget description)
I am trying to deploy my web service on AppHarbor through GitHub. My web service is using NHibernate.Spatial, which has Microsoft.SQLServer.Types version 10.0.0.0 as a dependency. This assembly is, if I understand correctly, installed along with SQL Server 2008. When I run my web service on my development computer, on which I have SQL Server 2008 installed, the service runs without trouble, but when I deploy to AppHarbor I get the following exception:
"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Types,
Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or
one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
As I already build my own version of NHibernate.Spatial.MsSql2008, the assembly from which the dependency derives, I have simply tried copying the required dll into the bin folder when building this project, by setting the reference property Copy Local to true. This is also reflected in the web service bin folder which is pulled by AppHarbor through Git. This didn't help though and my guess is that my web service is looking for the dependency in a different folder than bin.
How do I make the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types assembly available on AppHarbor? As the exception states, this might also be caused by possible missing dependencies of Microsoft.SqlServer.Types, but how do I find if this is the case, and again, how do I make the dependencies of Microsoft.SqlServer.Types available on AppHarbor?
Here's a NuGet package with the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types assembly. You can use this in combination with NuGet package restore on AppHarbor.
