_blank is affecting current tab as well as opening new tab. Why? - html

When you click any of the Social Icons in the footer, it will open a new tab with the desired URL, but at the same time it will affect the current tab and redirect it to the desired URL. How can I make _blank ONLY open up a new tab and leave the previous tab unaffected?

You may try deleting that code, or specifically the line which changes document.location.href. But this approach could break other things.
A safer approach would be adding no_animation class to an ancestor of the icons, this way $j(this).closest('.no_animation').length won't be 0.

Uncheck checkbox input to remove sorting

I have a form that triggers a sorting function depending on the valued chosen from the checkboxes.
It works fine, but I am trying to get back to the original sorting status when unchecking the checkbox active.
Right now, if a check box is active and submitted, it will work as desired, but if unchecking nothing will happen.

Make own calibration dialog with comma delimiter decimal

Is there an event similar as "FINISHED_CALIBRATION" when the style for the "calibration panel" is set to display: block? I want to create a custom calibration dialog with comma separator. I want to open own calibration dialog instead of your dialog. I check two point for calibration with this code:

AngularJS Selects Empty Option Even Valid Option is Avaliable

I am aware of the facts about eval function, but the project I'm working on is quite old, so does the code. Anyway, this is about business logic and quite irrelevant with the thing I'm going to ask (or so I was thinking).
As you can see I'm appending all the options before I set the value of the selectbox with using .val(...). I have also checked that values do match along with the data types. But, when I observe this function step by step, I saw that selected value does show up without flaw. After the code finish with my above mentioned function (SetCategory2), code goes through on of the function located on AngularJS file, named xhr.onreadystatechange. It's not a long function, so I'm sharing it also on below.

You need to call the function instead of just checking your variable. So rather do

Then, instead of return passwordStrength = true; you should do just passwordStrength = true and add a return passwordStrength to the very end of your function so it will return either false or true.
It looks like the variable scope is incorrect. var passwordStrength should be put outside of the checkPasswordStrength function.

kendoGrid and multiselectbox column initialization using query string parameters

I am implementing a custom solution that will initialize kendoGrid (and its multiselect columns) by applying filters to the grid using query string parameters. I am using Kendo UI v2014.2.903 and multiselectbox user extension.
To achieve this, I have a custom JavaScript function that parses query string parameters into filter object and applies it to kendoGrid's dataSource property using its filter method. Code snippet below:

I am initializing multiselectbox as follows:

My problem is if I set filters to multiselectbox using above approach, they are not applied correctly to the data set.
For example, if I pass single filter as "Vancouver", correct result set is displayed. Choices in the multiselectbox are "All" and "Vancouver". However, Vancouver choice is not checked in the multiselectbox. Is that by design? Please see image below.

If I pass in two filters Vancouver and Warsaw, only the last filter Warsaw is applied to the grid and data set containing only Warsaw is displayed. Again, none of the choices are checked in the multiselectbox.

I noticed that when two filters are passed, e.newValue is "Warsaw" instead of an array - "[Vancouver, Warsaw]"
I spent lot of time troubleshooting why only Warsaw is applied to the data set.
Here's what I found out:
_raiseSelectionChanged function is what raises selection changed event. In that function, I noticed that it sets newValue and oldValue event arguments. To set newValue it uses "Value" function. Value function uses the below code to retrieve all the selected list items and return them.

I came across documentation for multiselectbox's select event that clearly states that the select event is not fired when an item is selected programmatically. Is it relevant to what I am trying to do? But why is it firing for one of the filters even though I am setting them programmatically?
