I want to arrange content in my page with tables, but when I write the code, and switch back to visual mode then back again to text mode all the
<tr> and <td>
are missing, there is a way to keep this code?
Thank you
either you disable the visual editor or use table creating plugin in wordpress for this, wordpress stripping html tags when swich to visual editor.
keep your content in text & don't switch to html before saving that content, else download the plugin for that is the simple solution.

I am building a web app that allows users to write their own html pages using the Froala editor integrated on my website.
The editor works really well and provides a great degree of control as well but, there is a small problem I am facing with the bold button. If you highlight some text inside the editor and click on the bold button, in the editor the text does become bold but in the corresponding html which is generated has a simple <strong> tag around it. Now when you load that html on a browser when it is delivered via a link or any other service, it does not show up as bold unless we write some css for it.
What I would like to know is:
Is this the correct behaviour?
Is there any fix or option that we need to control on Froala to make
it look bold?
Apart from writing custom css for it, if there are any options please let me know.
You can check out the said behaviour on one of the demo pages they have: Froala Demo
Thanks in Advance!
PS: Let me know if you guys need code samples from my end, I have not done anything(custom) apart from the samples available on their website.
I am using asp.net web form and the content is displayed let just say in the about-us.aspx.
I know it is impossible to disable Save As option in the browser file menus, but is it possible to have users saving it as a blank HTML page instead of the content?
Even if you could disable the "save as" feature, which... no, you can't. But say for an instant you could. Anyone who wanted (a copy of your webpage) could just take a screen shot and print that. Or, they could open the source code and copy/save that. Saving the file isn't the only way that they can grab your content.
Is there a reason that you don't want them to copy it?
Are you trying to prevent people (in general) from seeing the page?
If there is some other consideration, please leave a comment so we can expand on this.

The above website is made on wordpress.In this I have an html code which looks like: <div class="image-title-bg loading" style="padding-top: 140px;">(found out using inspect element option in chrome)
I want to change the padding-top: to 50px,But I am not able to find it in admin panel. Basically I am trying to reduce the image size on my first page of blog. Please help me out with this problem. Thanks in advance!!
You probably will enjoy this WordPress plugin : Simple Custom CSS
;)
You will have to find the relevant file and make changes in it.
Tip: You can search that html tag line in php files.
To change html in Wordpress in admin part you should get to source of home page which can be usually found in Appearance Editor tab. Over there you can find php and html which you can edit. Or if you have FTP access you can track file there.
I am trying to use a text editor (without using an IDE e.g. eclise/IntelliJ) where I can analyse an HTML file e.g. which tags are unevenly used and also format HTML documents in a way that it picks up each tag and organises so that the document is more human-friendly.
I currently have notepad++ and Sumblime Text 2 on my machine. If there is any specific plugin that helps to do the job, could someone please advise?
** REASONING **
I have a messaging service that uses email templates and one of these has a bug somewhere. It's generating a misaligned (i.e. odd) tag which can be visible if I was to put it in some audit trail (gets picked up in a tabular view). I would like to use a text editor to check the buggy tag.
KR,
In notepad++ you can do that if your open and closing tags are below eachother for example
<div>
something here
</div>
but if you have it inline like this
<div>something here</div>
you cannot do much with it.
Is this what you are asking?
Also if you want the vertical tab lines to be visible click on the "show indent guide" in the top toolbar
There are several online tools that can format the HTML for you. Do a quick Google search for "online html formatter" and try a couple out. Some will provide more options than others. Once formatted properly, it'll be human readable and probably be pretty easy to spot the stray tag.
I have a web site that gets a new page every couple weeks, and that means I need to update the menu to have the new page in every single one. I'm wondering if there is a way to have an external text or .htm file that I can basically insert into the web page. That way I can put the menu in the external file and call it wherever I want it. So I only have to edit one thing when I get a new page.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: This is a drop-down menu with ul and li tags with an external style sheet for them. So this needs to work for that too. Thanks
Have a single HTML page like so:
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
HTML OF LINKS HERE
</body>
</html>
Then save it as my_links.html and into the page you want to insert it... do the following. Copy and paste the whole page and it as FILENAME.PHP and then use this code:
<?php include("my_links.html"); ?>
Congratulations, you have just used PHP! Learn more about the including pages here.
This is very easy and common to do on sites that use a server-side language behind them (PHP, ASP.NET, etc.)
If you don't want to use a server side language, than an <iframe> is your only option.
If you want to use HTML, and only html (no server side programming or javascript), you can use Server Side Includes embedded into your html files. Your web server may need to be configured to accept them.
If you are using server side include and you had navigation in a separated file, yes you can just edit things separate.
You can also do this using jQuery.
$('#elementid').load('page.html');
http://api.jquery.com/load/
But this will not be SEO friendly.
Also if someone has scripts turned off in their browser, then this will not work.
