"The first data set has a car name attribute, whereas the second data set has a
name attribute. name should be renamed to car name".This is my question.How to solve this? a value for the parameter new name must be specified is the error i am getting.
The Rename operator takes two parameters; one is the existing attribute name and the other is the new name you want the attribute to be renamed to.

I would like to set up a hyperlink from a foreign key column in the backing dataset of object type A to the respective object of type B.
Following an existing and working example, in the dataset preview, I have added a type class in the form of {{object type B id}}.{{object type B's property id}}. However, this is not giving me a link. Do I need to format this differently or are there any additional configurations required?
Further investigation revealed that in addition to the type class described in the question, this also requires a configuration change by a Palantir representative.
I am using GetResponse and trying to create a new list and seeing this error :
This list already exists. You need to enter a different name.
But I have not created any list with this name. So how is it possible?
Is GetResponse checking its entire database on lists created by the same name ?
Yes, GetResponse checks it's entire DataBase.
From the GetResponse Docs:
Please remember that the name must be unique – it can’t exist in any GetResponse account. The name must be between 3-64 characters (only lowercase a-z, numbers, minus (-), and underscore (_).
I am using Taleo Connect Client to export data from Taleo. I encountered two questions:
How can I add blank columns to an output CSV file?
For example, try to add ColumnBlank1 between Column_FirstName and Column_LastName.
Column_FirstName|ColumnBlank1|Column_LastName
John||Lee
Adam||Jackson
How can I set default value like "N" for one field?
DBaluke Huang's answer was correct, but he left out some details. Adding the full solution for others who might need this too.
To export a blank or fixed string value in a column using TCC (Taleo Connect client) do the following:
Open your Export
Click the projections tab
Click the add button
Click Projection Function
Choose the Replace Function
Click ok
In the First Parameter Section: In the Value box, add any string field
from your list on the entity tab. The Data Type should be Field.
In the Second Parameter Section, In the Value box, add the same field
from Parameter 1 value box. The Data Type should be Field.
In the Third Parameter section, In the value box, enter no value for
blank or enter the fixed string you want in all records.
Then change the data type to string in this section.
For those unfamiliar with the replace function you are looking for the string Parameter1.Value in Parameter2.value and then replacing all instances where the string is found with parameter3.value
You can export a blank field with <quer:string/>.
<quer:projection alias="Blank" xmlns:quer="http://www.taleo.com/ws/integration/query">
<quer:string/>
</quer:projection>
Steps
Open your export in Taleo Connect Client.
Open the General tab and set the Export mode to "CSV-report".
Open the Projections tab.
Click Add.
Select Add a complex projection and click OK.
Under Complex projection, enter the following:
<quer:projection alias="Blank" xmlns:quer="http://www.taleo.com/ws/integration/query">
<quer:string/>
</quer:projection>
Save your changes.
Example:
<quer:query productCode="RC1704" model="http://www.taleo.com/ws/tee800/2009/01" projectedClass="Candidate" locale="en" mode="CSV" csvheader="true" csvdelimiter="|" largegraph="true" preventDuplicates="false" xmlns:quer="http://www.taleo.com/ws/integration/query">
<quer:subQueries/>
<quer:projections>
<quer:projection>
<quer:field path="FirstName"/>
</quer:projection>
<quer:projection alias="Blank">
<quer:string/>
</quer:projection>
<quer:projection>
<quer:field path="LastName"/>
</quer:projection>
</quer:projections>
<quer:projectionFilterings/>
<quer:filterings/>
<quer:sortings/>
<quer:sortingFilterings/>
<quer:groupings/>
<quer:joinings/>
</quer:query>
Results:
FirstName|Blank|LastName
John||Lee
Adam||Jackson
Jane||Doe
Notes:
If you get a SAX parsing error when running the export, make sure your Export mode is set to "CSV-report". (Appears as mode="CSV" in source)
When adding a complex projection in TCC, you must include xmlns:quer="http://www.taleo.com/ws/integration/query", or else TCC will call your source "invalid". However, it is not required when editing your export's source directly outside of TCC.
I resolved the issue by:
Add a function projection in Projections. Set your Alias. Set First parameter value as whatever field that available. Set the second parameter's value as same as the first parameter. Change Third parameter's value as "blank" and set Data type as String.
Same step as the first question, and set Change Third parameter's value as "N".
In my current project, users can create spreadsheets with fields, then each field inherits a unique ID based on the column it is attached to in the spreadsheet, so when fields are updated, my template looks like this:
<input type="text" name="{{field.unique_id}}" id="{{field.unique_id}}" value="{{field.data}}">
But in my views, when I attempt to grab the value from the field:
request.POST.get('field.unique_id')
It sees nothing because it's looking for literally 'field.unique_id' and not the variable that field.unique_id would produce.
Is there a way to tell it to replace field.unique_id with the variable or do I have to define the id of the POST get manually?
You can use a variable in request.POST.get() instead of a string, for example.
request.POST.get(my_var)
However in your case, request.POST.get(field.unique_id) does not work, since the keys in request.POST are strings, and field.unique_id is an integer.
The answer is to use str() to convert it to a string.
request.POST.get(str(field.unique_id))
i have 3 csv files in a folder which contains eid, ename, country fields, and my 5 csv files names are test1_20120116_034512, test1_20120116_035512,test1_20120116_035812 etc.. my requirement is I want to take lastest file based on timne stamp and modified date, which i have done. Now i want to import the extracted file name into destination table..
my destination tables contains fields like,
filepath, filename, eid, ename, country
I have posted regarding this before in the same site i got an answer for extracting filename, now i want to load the extracted FileName into destination table
Import most recent csv file to sql server in ssis
my destination tables should have output as
C:/source test1_20120116_035812 1234 tester USA
In your DataFlow task, add a Derived Column Transformation. The value of CurrentFile will be the fully qualified path to the file. As you only want the file name, I would look to use a replace function on that with the base folder and then strip the remaining slash. This does not strip the file extension but you can add yet another call to REPLACE and substitute an empty string
Derived Column Name: filename
Derived Column:
Expression: REPLACE(REPLACE(#[User::CurrentFile], #[User::RootFolder], ""), "\\", "")
The above expects it to look like
CurrentFile = "C:\source\test1_20120116_035812.csv"
RootFolder = "C:\source"
Edit
I believe you've done something in your approach that I did not do. You should see a warning about possible truncation but given the values discussed in this and the preceding question, I don't believe the 4k limit on expressions will be of concern.
Displaying the derived column
Demonstrating the derived column does work
I will give you a +1 for providing an approach I wasn't aware of, but you'll still need to add a derived column to match your provided format (base path name)
Full path is provided from the custom properties. Use the above REPLACE section to remove the path info except use the column [FileName] instead of #[User::CurrentFile]
I tried to get the filename through the procedure which Billinkc has given, but its throwing me error stating that filename column failed becaue of truncation error..
Any how i tried different approach to load file name into table.
steps i have used
1. right click on flat file Source and click on show advanced edito for Flat file
2. select component Properties tab
3. Inside that Custom Properties section ---> it has a property FileNameColumnName
I have assigned Filename to that column property like
FileNameColumnName----> FileName thats it, am able to get the filename into my destination table..
