Sharing One screen using webrtc - google-chrome

I have a dual monitor. I would like to know how could i share only one monitor at a time.
Currently i am able to share both the monitors using chrome.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Krishna

To have a choice on what to share you could use the desktopCapture API and use "window" as the DesktopCaptureSourceType. It'll popup a window allowing you to choose which window to share...

how to customize chrome theme per window

I usually have three chrome windows open. To easily distinguish my work chrome from the personal chrome window, I would like to set a theme to one window, and another theme to other windows.
I figure out how to change the theme globally, wondering whether its possible to it per window.
Use different profiles. You can do this in chrome by clicking the Proflile icon in the top-right of any window. It'll ask you to log in with your Google account but you're able to make a local account with any name.
I use one for personal (personal google account), one for work (work google account), and a third with no google account for risky or other website browsing (which has more aggressive blocking rules)
I do have in mind 2 options, since I really want to easily identify them.
You can add name to your window, not so noticeable since only shows on hover on mac.
You can also group all the tabs in that window, to give it a bit of a different color
which you can see here. blue and red. Bit noticeable.
for windows users, can you try this options, it might be better there.
I did some research into this issue, and it seems the only way to do this is to open different browsers e.g - firefox for presonal stuff, chrome for work etc...
will be happy to see a better solotion though...

Loading screen Windows phone 8

I want to change default loading screen when i navigate between pages on WP8 app but I don't know how to do it.
Thank you
So there is many ways of doing it and you need to address what exactly is your best solution.
So the splash screen is the first place to start, here you can specify images that should be used upon start the app. It is also possible to introduce animations.
Your case (As far as I understand) is referring to navigation in-app. Again here I assume you use Silverlight, and not Win-RT?
For this you can create either popups or change the PhoneApplicationFrame. Popups can be displayed across pages during navigation. This however has the issue with memory leak and low performance, because of the popup implementation in WP.
I would therefore go with changing the PhoneApplicationFrame, you can follow this: Specify Popup location, throughout page navigation
Very little information about you app, but maybe this will help:How to create a custom indeterminate progress bar for Windows Phone 8

Pop-up message when site it accessed on mobile device

Is there a way to alert a user if he accesses my webpage on his mobile device ?
The reason for this is because this particular webpage is not coded in a way to be looked at on a mobile device (at least not yet)
So, if any would access the webpage on his mobile a pop-up will appear saying something like: "This webpage is currently not supported by mobile devices".
Would this be hard to do ?
Yes it is possible, you need mobile detection script, have a look at following project on github. I have used it myself for similar requirements. This solution is for PHP (you haven't mention which technologies you been using).
https://github.com/serbanghita/Mobile-Detect
You can easily do this with Javascript as well, just google for Javascript Device Detection and you'll find enough. Another possibility is using CSS Media Queries; create a pop up, set it to display: none, and in your query make it visible again.

Hide/Remove video button from App Bar using CameraCaptureTask

Is there any way to hide or remove the video button from the App Bar on a WP8 application using CameraCaptureTask? Our app only includes taking pictures, no videos. That's why we think it would be better remove the video button if it isn't really a choice. CameraCaptureTask (native task) keeps the video button disabled but visible, instead hide it...
Thank you in advance.
To answer your question in short, no, there is no way to modify a native task in that manner.
That said, there is a way around this, be it a little more laborous.
You're going to need to create your own camera capture page.
Here is the official MSDN Documentation and code on how to accomplish this.
http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/wpapps/Basic-Camera-Sample-52dae359/sourcecode?fileId=62725&pathId=1134966225
If it were me I would make a control that pops open when you need it that does the MSDN example.
Good luck to you and welcome to Windows Phone dev. If you want faster answers hit me up on the tweeter. #Anth0nyRussell

Improve touchscreen handling on Chrome

I am working on a web app that will be run off a local server on Windows 8 on Chrome. Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't seem to handle touch events very well. For example, often instead of clicking on a button, it will select it instead. Is there any way I can make it behave more like native touchscreen apps do?
I can't make it a metro app because I need to talk to a Python service.
I've done some testing in Chrome with a touch screen and don't seem to run into this issue (of course not doubting you are though!). If you have a site I'd be more than happy to check it out.
One option is to try scaling the content larger, I'm wondering if your touch surface is very sensitive to tiny movements upon touch and treating it as a touch/scroll ie select. Try a simple test in the browser to start by increasing the size before trying any css scaling transforms (which I'm not sure how in this how well that approach would even work)
What type of hardware is it being tested on?
Can you elaborate a bit more on the python service? What part of the service makes it so you can't interact with it? Is it just an http service object or something else?
