umbraco site Server Error in '/' Application - mysql

please help my umbraco site when i try to login to backend comes up Server Error in '/' Application i attached a screen grab below.

I believe this is due to a conflict with something in your binary folder. All the searching I did on this error revealed a common link to a conflict with certain versions of Umbraco VS Contour.
The most common suggestion is to rename the Umbraco.Forms.Core.Providers.V7.dll file in your bin directory.
If this works, you need to look into which version of Contour you should be using for the version of Umbraco you have to see if there is a conflict there.
If that doesn't work, you might want to look at whichever packages you've installed lately and start removing their DLLs.
Worse comes to worse, rename your bin folder, bring in a fresh one for the version of Umbraco you're using, and then bring the DLLs from your renamed bin folder until you can narrow down which one it is that's causing your grief.
I hope that helps!

Error BC30560: 'ReportViewer' is ambiguous in the namespace 'Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms'

I get this error some 23 times when publishing the website. There are no issues with compilation and testing. I know someone is going to have the urge to say "remove the duplicate reference from the web.config" but that's not the problem here. This is a project started in 2008 and the use of ReportViewer predates the code being added to our git repository (which in turn predated me working on it) so I know that nothing is technically wrong with the code. In fact, until last week, it published just fine. What changed? I finally got a newer, faster computer. The client wanted one line removed. I put the code on the new computer, removed the offending line, built, tested. All is ok. Then I went to publish and got the ReportViewer error. I'm working with a byte-for-byte copy of the project on the old computer and the only thing that fails is the publish on the new computer.
Clearly something isn't installed on the new computer that's preventing publish, but I don't have a clue what it is. (Or possibly something installed that shouldn't be. The "new" computer was actually in-use by another developer.)
I was grasping at anything for this problem. I got the idea to remove all copies of the ReportViewer DLL from the Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms folder. There were 5 different versions. Windows itself balked when I tried to move version 10. That was my clue. It turns out that whoever switched from version 10 to version 12 missed a couple of source files. I updated the reference to version 12 and the problems cleared up.
Now the real mystery is: why did it ever work on the old computer?

Where all.js in new MeanJS?

I am learning MeanJS right now, watching a lot of video courses, but EVERYONE uses old version of MeanJS where is tottally different folder and files structure, that I have. It is very uncomfortable for noob like me.
Right now I am stuck at moment how to use custom css files. In every freaking video teachers modify all.js file. BUT I CAN'T FIND IT IN MY MEAN JS VERSION. I guess, they renamed it or something. Help me please. I just don't want to loose my sleep with this.
Instead of all.js, in the latest MEAN.JS version you can configure the assets to be used in the app in different stages (development, production, testing, etc). You just have to go to config/assets/ and edit the right file for your situation, probably default.js might be the one you're looking for. In that file you can add custom css files to be loaded into the app.

adding files to all platforms of a cocos2d-x project

This is a very basic question, but I have not been able to find the answer anywhere.
I just got Cocos 2Dx 3.3, made a new project and built the HelloWorld scene that was generated.
It generated projects for all platforms, but I am currently compiling and running the Mac project using XCode.
I can easily add new files using XCode, but of course it only adds it to my XCode Project. I would have expected a way to automatically modify all projects at once to add files or change compiler settings. I saw that there is a CMake file, probably used for command line compilation, but I cannot find a way to use that to regenerate the projects for all platforms.
Is it possible to automatically add a file to all platforms? Maybe it is possible to modify the template directory os Cocos and use the cocos new command line to recreate the project from scratch?
Or is it better to do all that manually?
Such an automation would imply parsing of a project file, finding list of relevant files and then changing all the dozen of project files. Which is hell of the work.
Even if it was implemented, how would this implementation decide which project file is a main one? (to get filelist from) And if your projects all have different lists of files? This would need merging etc. etc.
For now cocos new only copies files from one place to another. Frankly, Cocos2d-x have much more serious problems to solve, so I don't think this feature will ever be implemented.
However, you could customize project files/folders to your needs to make process of adding files more or less convenient and sometimes even automatic. Here are some clues:
It is easy to change Android and Linux Makefiles so they will pick up all the source files from a specified folder. Just use wildcards. Resource files are picked up by default.
For Visual Studio solutions (Win32, Win8, WinPhone) you could enable "Show all files" to see all files that either added or not. Unfortunately you can only see files down in the folder tree relative to project folder. To see Classes folder, make a symlink (link /j) of a Classes folder near .vcxproj file. You'd better don't copy/move project folder after it. And don't forget to add this linked folder to ignore list of your versioning system, or you will end up with duplicated files. Resource files are picked up by default for Windows projects.
I am not aware of any solution for XCode project, so you basically stuck with manual source file addition. Which is most annoying among all platforms. However it can pick up resource folders with all files.
Anyway, I would be glad if someone would proof me wrong and would write some kind of script to solve this problem (and also to change project name, company id, automatic versioning, etc.). I believe it could be done more or less reliably with, let's say Python and some regex magic. At least until project file formats will change.

Changes To xaml don't reflect on App Until rebuild - windows phone

I have a weird problem in an windows phone 8 project (Visual Studio Express for windows phone 8) that Changes to xaml( ex:change visibility of control) don't reflect on App until I rebuild the project and deploy it again to emulator or device.
The changes reflect normally in the design window of visual studio but didn't reflect on the running App.
I did many researches and they didn't help, like:
1- Change "Build and Run" to "always build" when projects are out of date.
2- I checked configuration manager as This post suggests but it was selected.
I have the exact same issue. I have a work around at the moment to save the hassle of rebuilding the solution because rebuilding deletes and re-installs the app and changes any saved settings you've made while debugging. The work around is to switch between configurations. So I'll execute the app in Debug, make some changes, then the next time I execute I change config to Release, and the changes are there.
The difference I can see is when it works I can see the Build Output line which says "Updating the application as the manifest file has changed..." take a few moments to complete. When this issue occurs the output line appears for a split second and so you can tell the incremental deployment hasn't actually been deployed to the device/emulator.
This is a little frustrating so hopefully someone has a real answer. I have other projects on the same machine and they don't have this issue. Just the one project so I don't think its a VS2012 problem.
I've also tried suggestions from other sites saying delete bin and obj folders but that didn't work.
I had the same issue for some of my WP8 Silverlight projects in VS 2013. I couldn't understand why it happened only for some projects but not all, but eventually I found this forum thread. The solution is the following: if the name of your app includes spaces, you definitely need to remove them or replace say with the underscore char. This recipe helped to recover my 'problem' projects.
I also noticed that numbers at the beginning of app name cause the same problem. I solved it by removing numbers from solution and app name.

WIX InstallUtil/InstallUtilLib and Configuration File Deployment why is InstallUtil bad?

I often find the quote "InstallUtil.exe" is an ugly pattern or "Don't use InstallUtil.exe" and that I should use native WIX or Installation package patterns and I still don't understood why.
I stepped away from using InstallUtil to install a .NET service as I finally learnt that writing registry keys for such an action should be an un-install-able action - and I've come to terms with this as correct.
As I've been working through my WIX installer for a relatively complex product, I have found myself in need of creating or updating SQL Server databases, creating or updating IIS Applications and finally updating or creating configuration files.
Each of my components (features) are optional, but they all share the same configuration file. As my product uses unity, its important to note that this library contains strong support for reading/updating/removing components from the Unity Configuration block, therefore it seems fairly smart to me that I should take advantages of these blocks via Installation Components (i.e. InstallUtil) to create or update my configuration file at installation time.
Just to be clear here, my installer does not natively contain a configuration file for my application: at installation time, the installer has no idea as to the shape of it as its based on the features selected. Surely I should be embedding this knowledge into each of the modules that are to be deployed and not in the remit of the installer which is now a completely independent project? Wouldn't this break O-O principals even if we are talking about installation?
I'd really appreciate some guidance as to whether this is good practise or not? Am I reading 'InstallUtil' is bad for installing services, or is it that using 'InstallUtil' is bad full-stop? If so, what are my options for smart updating of configuration files?
The main reason for avoiding InstallUtil is that it runs outside of the installation transaction, so Windows Installer cannot keep track of what it's done.
I have used InstallUtil on a few occasions, when I just couldn't get Wix to do what I needed and didn't have time to write a custom action. In this case I called the InstallUtilLib version as I feel this is a cleaner approach.
I used the this blog as a guide as to how to achieve this.
