Steps which I made are the following:
Create .doc file , filled with some content.
Print .doc to .xps
unzip .xps via 7zip
"DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING"
zip again via 7zip
during opening via XPS Viewer EP (XpsRchVw.exe) rise error "...The document may not be a valid XPS document"
any clue what's the reason ?

I am using Adobe PDF service API. I am trying to run our HTML zip file into a sample project but it giving an error "Invalid Zip" status code:400.
Is it possibly the case that your ZIP file does not have an index.html file? Your ZIP file needs to have at least one HTML file which is an HTML file.
I was downloading Revit models from BIM360 team hub via ForgeAPI using the following uri.

All my objectName ended with .rvt. So I downloaded and saved them as rvt file.
However I noticed that some of the files cannot be opened by Revit. They are actually not rvt files but zip files. So I have to change the extension to .zip and unzip the file to get real 'rvt` files.
My Problem is that not all files is zip file. I cannot tell from the API because the URI I request is always ended with .rvt.
Every Unix OS provides the file command, a standard utility program for recognising the type of data contained in a computer file:

A zip file is directly recognised and reported like this:

A Revit RVT model is a Windows compound document file, so it generates the following output:
$ file little_house_2021.rvt
little_house_2021.rvt: Composite Document File V2 Document, Cannot read section info
Hence you can use the same algorithm as file does to distinguish between RVT and ZIP files.
Afaik, file just looks at the first couple of bytes in the given file.
The Python programming language offers similar utilities; try an Internet search
for distinguish file type python; the first hits explain

and point to the filetype Python project.
Other programming languages can provide similar functionality.
I have created compiled html (chm) file using the Microsoft html Help Workshop. when I tried to open the generated chm file, it is showing message "Page Can not be displayed". But when I click on content topic only then I am able to see corresponding page content.
Do I need to set any thing so show the selected page by default.

If the CHM help file resides on a network drive please copy this file to a local hard drive first and try again. You'll find some additional and troubleshooting information at:

Problem: The help file will appear, but instead of the topic text you will see an error message "this page cannot be displayed".
Cause: Microsoft released some security patches that makes it impossible to view CHM files that are stored on a network drive (as opposed to CHM files stored on your own computer).
Solution: There is a work-around to allow viewing across a network as discussed on the following links:

The problems can also occur if the CHM file name or the path to the file contains a number sign (#). If the CHM file name contains the # symbol, then the topics in the table of contents do not appear. If the path contains the # symbol, then you may receive an access violation error message.
To work around this issue, remove the # symbol from the file name or from the path to the file.
If you have a compiled collection of CHM's (so called "merged CHM") some other problems are possible.

Open your HHP file with HH Workshop
Click the first icon "Change project options" on the "Project" tab
Set the "Default file" from the file list of the combo box
Compile your project

There is a solution:
In your HTML Help Workshop go to the "Project" tab
Press button "Change project options"
In the "Default file" field put the name of your default file which is already exist in your project. File should have .htm extension (for example about.htm)
Compile project again and you will see that problem is fixed
I am using OpenOffice Calc 4.1.1 on Windows 7.
I am trying to use Link to External Data to load an external CSV file from a gaming website Wowuction.com. If I open the URL in my browser I get a CSV file saved to disk. But when I use that exact same URL in the "URL of external data source" box and hit enter, there is a short pause like its loading, but then nothing happens. Nothing appears in the "Available tables/ranges" box, the OK button is still disabled.
Does OpenOffice Calc not support CSV as an external data source?
In short: Calc doesn't support loading a CSV file externally, only HTML, ODS, XLS, maybe another.
But if you are confortable writing a dos script, you can download the CSV file and convert it to HTML continuously. Then you can just direct the 'Link to External Data' to you local HTML file.
It's been done on ubuntu linux, in case you want a little reference.
I am trying to open a .csv file in my Mac, using Excel 2008. Currently, every time I try opening the file, my Mac defaults to OpenOffice.org 3. I never had this problem. I always used to be able to open csv files with Excel.
Where do I go to change the default spreadsheet program for opening csv files back to Excel?

CTRL+Click or Right Click on the CSV file, click on "get info" option. In the popup at the bottom under "opens with", select the application you want to associate with this file e.g. excel.
This works for changing the file associations for most files.
