I've been trying to develop a system where an ms-access database comunicates with a brother ql-500 label printer to print a label based on data entered to a form, but for some reason, I am using the documentation for b-Pac, the "plugin" from brother created for this interfacing and i get a syntax error in ms-access, which leads me to think there might be some problem with the references. I checked and double checked and uninstalled the plugin and installed the plugin again, up to no solution...
My question here is, is there a way to check the references to see if it is the right file?
Im very new to access programming and this was asked to do in work...
EDIT: Over this one now, it was actually bad syntax, as i was refering to documentation from another version of the bPac plugin, it seems they have changed the syntax in one of the last versions...
Now i have another problem, a runtime error: -2147023782(800705a)
EDIT 2: i solved the problem, i uninstalled through control panel and then deleted remaining files manually and proceeded to install the b pac plugin again and it works now, thank you for your help though guys ;)
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for. I haven't worked with plugins so far.
In VBA window, go to : Tools > References
This should bring up the following window :
Check to see if your plugin is refered in there, or use Browse to locate and add it to the project.
Hope this helps.

I couldn't solve this problem after linqConnect For Mysql generated entity of models for me. I thought devart is good software, without testing trial period, I purchased their license, but now I am facing this issue, I couldn't even get it working. please help

The the piece of code highlighted is "System.String.Empty", nothing is wrong here. A similar problem is discussed, for example, at Visual Studio 2015: Intellisense errors but solution compiles. Have you tried to build a project ignoring these fantom errors? Most likely, the build will succeed in this case. To avoid displaying such misleading "errors", choose "Build Only" droplist value (instead of "Build + IntelliSense") in the Error List window from your screenshot.
So i have had no luck piecing together the documentation on how to do this as it seems a bit scattered.
So i have a dedicated box running TCadmin. I have a cs go server deployed through it however now i have reached the stage of needing to add my GSLT.
I have looked through all the documentation and i have kind of got to the point of realising that i need to edit the default template of configuration that is used so that i can add a autoexec.cfg and allow that to be edited through the config editor. The other way would be to edit the default command line to allow +sv_setsteamaccount
I am totally stuck as to do either of these things though.
Any advice appreciated.
Contrary to nearly every other source on the internet, i CAN declare the login token in the server.cfg
The problem i was facing with the templating turned out to be simply a misunderstanding of the fact that the linux template was set up as a kind of "child" of the windows version as all the configs are the same. I had to amend the windows setup.
I have posted this on google-apps-script-issues (https://code.google.com/p/google-apps-script-issues/issues/detail?id=4723&can=4&colspec=Stars%20Opened%20ID%20Type%20Status%20Summary%20Component%20Owner) but with no response I am getting desperate as all my sheets and scripts are breaking down. So I hope someone here might have encountered this and have some idea for me how to handle this.
Some of my exiting scripts (including some in spreadsheets) suddenly started throwing the exception 'Library with identifier LabelServices is missing (perhaps it was deleted?)'.
I tried deleting the library reference in some of the scripts that were throwing this error and re-adding it but the same error comes up. I even defined a new library with the same name and try to use it instead. Still the same error.
Most likely a related error, when trying to open project properties to these scripts I see the message 'Something went wrong. Please reload.' and the hourglass never stops. This happens at both standalone scripts and ones embeded in spreadsheets.
Please note that if I add the same library to a new script then there is no problem and the library works perfectly.
I would like to add that even if I remove the library and also any calls or references to the library the problem still persists.
Link to a script where this happens is available at https://script.google.com/d/1ptevXwu25z9Vo88zX0XOyaQk5pE5MmzwDbb-lMglNY1lzz1HBBiAeJxn/edit?usp=drive_web
You can copy it and play with it. You should get the same problem.
Appreciate any help!!!
Andrew. First of all thank you as you triggered something in my mind. I went all the way bottom up and checked each script and a library it was calling. There were obviously dependencies, however nothing that should have been a problem. a couple of libraries even though in development mode seem to cause a problem. I had to create a new version but it was not enough just to update their version in other scripts. In the calling scripts I had to remove all libraries and re-add them one by one while testing whether the project properties shows up or not. I just wish Google would have a utility to clearly highlight what was wrong because I can't figure it out though I went twice through their documentation in regard to libraries and development mode. Since I have about 30 libraries or so, not to mention spreadsheets and apps it took me nearly a whole day... Thanks again!
To all, it seems that there is a problem where sometimes libraries get out of sync (at least that's the best way I can describe it). You may need to create new versions for the libraries (even though these are in development mode. And in each problematic script remove and re-add the libraries (in at lease a couple of transactions - first remove and confirm then add - and better one at the time while checking that your project properties opens properly). This solved the problem for me.
Yesterday I tried updating from MATE 1.4 to MATE 1.6. I didn't like some things about it, and I decided to switch back, at least for now. One of the changes was a switch from the mateconf configuration system to GNOME 3's GSettings. As I understand this is a frontend to a system called dconf (or connected some other way).
This rendered many of my settings viod. I figured I could try to migrate them, but unlike gconf and mateconf, which created convenient folders in my home directory and filled them with XML I could edit or copy, I wasn't able to find any trace of dconf's settings storage.
A new Control Center is provided (and mandatory to install) but I don't want to be clicking through dozens of dialogs just to restore settings I already have. The Configuration Editor utility might be okay, but it only works with mateconf.
So what I want to know is where I can find the files created by dconf and how I can modify them directly, without relying on special tools.
I almost forgot that I asked this, until abo-abo commented on it. I now see that this is a SuperUser question, but for some reason I can't flag it. I would if I was able to.
The best solution I found was to install dconf-tools, which is like the old conf-editors.
As for the actual location of the data on disk, it seems to be stored in /var/etc/dconf as Gzipped text files, but I'm not entirely sure because I'm not using Mate 1.6 right now. I wouldn't advise editing them directly.
I've been having another issue with dconf, and I checked the folder that I mentioned above. It doesn't even exist. There now seems to be a single configuration file at ~/.config/dconf/[USERNAME]. It isn't in text format, so special tools are required to edit it.
This might be the result to an update to dconf.
I had a similar problem (was trying to back up keyboard custom shortcuts). The path for that was:
dconf dump /org/gnome/desktop/wm/keybindings/ > wm-keybindings.dconf.bak
dconf dump /org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/ > media-keys-keybindings.dconf.bak
This thanks to redionb's answer on Reddit.
I'm quite new to MVVMCross but I've been actively using it for two weeks, at work and in a school project, and I am really enjoying it! Unfortunately, I've been stuck on the school project for 2 days now : we're asked to do a mobile Jabber client. This is not a big deal since I started it using Matrix XMPP library, which does most of the job and is easy to use. I decided to restart my project using MVVMCross, in order to have cleaner separated code and add a Windows Phone project, but Matrix absolutely needs System.Xml.Linq, and I can't get the core PCL to compile :
The type 'System.Xml.Linq.XElement' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced.
You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Xml.Linq, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'
As shown in Stuart Lodge's tutorial videos, I'm using profile 104, the the faulting dll is really present in the folder, I can't add it manually to project's references since VS prevents me from doing it (gently explaining that it's automatically loaded since .Net portable subset is included in references), I've updated and repaired my VS install "just in case"... and have no more idea left.
So, here are the questions :
is it really possible to use System.Xml.Linq with MVVMCross? or did I miss the big title explaining that what I'm trying to do is stupid?
if yes (that'd be great!) did/does someone experience the same problem? Even more interesting : did someone find a solution?
Thanks in advance!
Additional info : Windows8(x64), VS2012 Ultimate, trial license (school project...) for Xamarin.Android
UPDATE : following Stuart's answer, I compiled and ran the BestSellers sample, which uses System.Xml.Linq... without any problem. As it comes with an explicit reference to System.Xml.Linq (see first link in answer), I tried :
to delete it (and a few others) : VS holds it's promises, and really includes needed references as long as .Net Portable Subset is referenced, so everything rolls smooth.
to manually add this reference via Notepad to my .csproj : it doesn't change anything.
One thing tickles me in Stuart's answer : "perhaps it is something to do with the way the matrix uses XML.linq". Since the Matrix type I'm trying to use is just a descendant of System.Xml.Linq.XElement, which is widely used in BookViewModel.cs from sample, what could possibly be wrong with that?
"Solution" : The problem seems to be due to Matrix requiring a special version of System.Xml.Linq, which is not the one included when profile 104 for building PCL. I used file linking method as a workaround to share the core, and that works, though this is less elegant, readable, and harder to maintain...
Yes it is possible to use at least some of System.Xml.Linq
For example, see the BestSellers sample
csproj file - https://github.com/slodge/MvvmCross-Tutorials/blob/master/Sample%20-%20BestSellers/BestSellers/BestSellers/BestSellers.csproj#L49
example XML linq use - https://github.com/slodge/MvvmCross-Tutorials/blob/master/Sample%20-%20BestSellers/BestSellers/BestSellers/ViewModels/BookViewModel.cs#L44
For the problem you are seeing, I'm really not sure what the error is - perhaps it is something to do with the way the matrix uses XML.linq? You might have more luck of you open up this question to other tags like portable-class-library, XML-linq and windows-phone.
