![enter image description here][1]I am trying to achieve column visibility based on group name. As you will see in my picture that I have displayed data based on my group name which are leakcheck, evac, pressure. I have used code below in advanced mode in the column properties for column 2 (temp 1), when i used this code my column 2 disappeared for all the phase_type instead of just phase_type 2 and I have checked this forum for corrected answer but no luck. I have tried just selecting that temp 1 column and using the same code below. This makes my temp 1 column disappear but leaves a gap between (white space in between) column phase_type column and temp 2 column for evac name group. Please help
=iif(fields!Phase_Type.value = 2,true,false)

If you have a top level group that fits most grouping options then you can use something similar to ColumnVisible=Parameters!FilterGroupLevel.Value<4 and have a scheme for grouping here.

Apologies if I have missed it anywhere else but I can not find any examples of this.
I am pulling data from sql into SSRS and rather than have one row in a table per record, i want a table/group of tables to replicate per record with the ID field as a table title. Something similar to the below image. Is there an option in SSRS to do this? any help is greatly appreciated.
wanted output
You can do this with a row group based on NoticeNumber. Simply add two headers and group detail.
Add a table.
Add a row group with the group field being Notice No. Make sure you select the option to add group header.
Right click the row header added in 2a and select6 "Add Row|Inside Group Below".
Add the number of columns you want for each record.
Select all the in the top group header row, right click, and select merge.
Add your Notice number to the merge cells.
Select the merged cell and set its text alignment to left aligned.
Paint all you cells in the row produced in 3 above gray.
I'm new at SSRS and I'd like to do a special chart
So I have some data, one is my sale target and the other one is my current status by stores
So I'd like to do a chart like a stacked column but not with the sum of values like it's the case but something similar to a gauge, I can do a gauge that I put in a table but I'd prefer to have everything on a similar chart like stacked column,
So I'd like a stacked chart with similar column:
I also like to be able to change the color of my column if my current status exceed my target
Any idea of how could I do that?
Below is my design:
My data structure:
I insert a Chart(bar chart)
Then I click [amount] series to configure it, you will get result like below(if you think the target column is overlapped by amount column, you could change target column to line type)

I have a report that need to show rows grouped by some criteria, let's say SubjectId.
But, final report preview need to looks like table below:
Little explanation:
Rows 11 and 12 belongs to group 1, and I need to put those 'Details rows' in the middle of table and after those two columns, I need to continue with group data, and that method would be valid for any group in table.
Everything would be easy if those two details columns are last two columns, but I have problem to get preview from picture if those columns are in the middle.
I'm not sure you can do this.
You could get something similar by just adding your Gender column at the end and then setting the HideDuplicates property of the textbox top True but that will not allow centering etc.
This was the output I got after applying the above.
I've used Category twice just as an illustration (that it belongs inside the row group)
How do I get Page Number in Body Section of RDLC report. Globals!PageNumber can be used only inside either Report Header or Footer. What if I put Row number to my dataset and get the record number.
Limiting the number of records per page and do the visibility calculation based on the records number is the best solution so far that I've heard of.
Can anyone educate me on this logic?
Or is there any other workaround for this?
P.S:
Other so-called solution like using Custom code is not giving you the correct page number. It will always show 1.
There isn't really an easier way to get the page number in the body. I think working with the dataset row count is the only reliable way.
What I have here is a short SQL statement to get Project Status information:
SELECT * FROM PROJ_STATUS
So I'll add the row number as a field, and also divide it by the number of records I want per page and add 1 (giving me the page number of each row)
SELECT * , ((DENSE_RANK() OVER(ORDER BY PRS_ID) -1) / 3 ) +1 AS [CountRow] FROM PROJ_STATUS
Now in my report I've got a table showing the status names and if they are active or not... I'll also add the page number as a column.
Next put a list in the report and put the table inside it.
Then click the top left square corner on the list and in the properties window set the dataset to the one you are using.
Then right click on the row group in the list and set the grouping to the page number column.
And put page breaks in between instances.
And there you go!
Reason why the -1 for #4Star. See that without the -1 the 3rd row is on the second page.
If your dataset is a row per whatever you want to get page numbers for, then
=RowNumber("DataSet1")
will work.
This is the same as using
row_number() over (order by (select null))
as it gives you an arbitrary ordering for row numbers.
I have a simple report that groups rows on PERSON then on DATE. I have these two groups in the grouping pane with the DETAILS GROUP below.
The trouble with this is that I end up with PERSON AND DATE appearing at the top of the first 2 columns on the left, but the rest of these two columns are just empty space which is wasting a lot of space on the left hand side of the page.
How can I format so that I keep the same grouping but have the PERSON and DATE appearing together on the first row only with all other data displayed below. This grouping would then show again as a single row whenever the group changes (which it does at the moment, but with loads of dead space on the page on the left hand side)
I've tried adding a 'column group' of PERSON AND DATE, but this ends up with the report being massive horizontally.
thanks
You could put your table control inside a list control and give them both the same datasource and grouping. Then put your PERSON and DATE fields in the list control and position them as you like. The table would only be there to display the detail and wouldn't have fields for PERSON and DATE.
Just Right click on the Grouping Column that was automatically added on the Tablix, and Delete that Column.
And, You have additional Two rows (Group header) above the Detail row : Person Group, and Date Group.
Simply, Select the Cells inside that Row, and Right click and Merge So, that you only have a Single Cell inside the Group Header. And, Write an expression inside that Cell according to your Group Header Requirement i.e. If you want to Show Person : PersonName in Group header of Person Group Then, Merge and Right click on that cell and Goto Expression then Type :
="Client : " + DataSet!Fields!FieldName
Do, the Same for the Another Date Group.
I hope you understoood.
