This command is not working in post build event of project:
resgen "$(ProjectDir)SpectrumLite_en-US.txt" "$(ProjectDir)"
Error message in output window is:
'resgen' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
That command successfully run on Visual Studio command prompt but neither in cmd nor post build event.

I wrote my HelloWorld.cs using MonoDevelop, and Gtk# 2.0. It runs fine in the debugger, and it builds HelloWorld.exe. When I run from a terminal window "mono ./HelloWorld.exe" then the program runs as expected so I know it is coded as expected. However when I attempt to run it by double clicking on it from Files (Linux version of Windows Explorer) it opens Archive Manager with an error "An error occurred while loading the archive".
I am using Ubuntu 18.04.02 LTS, if that makes a difference.
I tried creating a link "ln -s ./HelloWorld.exe ./meow", and double clicked on meow, however that also opens Archive Manager with the same error.
I don't want my end product to require the user to open a Terminal window to run my program, what do I do so that the user can double click on my program from Files to run?

Thanks Some programmer dude, I like the bundle idea as I may port this project to a different flavor of linux and I hope this gives me a path to get there.
However, I got error:

Files is detecting the .exe extension as an archive, and therefore it opens it with File Roller or similar.
Just right-click the file HelloWorld.exe and select "Open With Other Application", click on "Find New Applications", and then type "mono" and press ENTER. The app will open.
Another possibility is to create a .desktopfile, and place it under ~/.local/share/applications, with this contents:
[Desktop Entry]
Exec=mono %F
MimeType=application/x-ms-dos-executable;
Name=mono
NoDisplay=true
Type=Application
MKBundle creates a native app from a mono application. The downside is that you have to compile both the app and all its dependencies, which can be tricky. In any case, the package you are looking for is gtk-sharp2.
An alternative to MKBundle is to include a text file, say HelloWorld.sh with the contents:
mono HelloWorld.exe
And then make it executable with:
chmod +x HelloWorld.sh
You can then pack both files together (use a .tar.gz target, which preserves attributes such as the executable one), and probably with a README file explaining to double-click HelloWorld.sh.
Or maybe you can pack the .exe with the .desktop file, and explain in the README file where it must be placed.
There are tons of possibilities.
I have a batch file which contains a path to the access database. When clicked it opens up the desired database however I want the batch file to run the macro.
I can do this by creating a AutoExec macro to run when you open up the database but I also want the macro to run whilst the database is running.
Here is what I have on my batch file at the moment:

You can use the /x "macroname" command line indicator to run a macro (not a VBA sub or function, a macro):

Alternatively, you can read commands passed using the /cmd switch from VBA. You could use an auto-starting form that reads a command and executes a VBA function on load, or a predeclared class that reads and executes the command on initialize.
For more advanced functionality, I recommend switching to either PowerShell or VBScript. That way you can hook into running Access Application objects and get them to execute code.
I have set up Jenkins so that it builds my project, runs some tests and then creates an HTML page containing a report.
I made a .bat file to open the html report in my browser. There is just one line in that .bat file :
"E:\user\Visual Studio 2010\JenkinsWorkspace\JobTest\index.html"
When I run that .bat in a prompt myself, the page index.html is open (so it works).
But the problem is that when I set up a Jenkins' job to run that .bat, nothing happens.
The job gets stuck after calling the .bat and never finishes.
Any idea why?
Note: I have other .bat (that do not open html pages) that are successfully executed by Jenkins.

If you are running Jenkins as a Window's service, you will probably need to enable the service to interact with the desktop. Do the following:
Open the Services module
Right-click on Jenkins and select "Properties"
On the "Log On" tab, run as "Local System account" and select the "Allow service to interact with desktop" checkbox

You can run Jenkins via the command-line. Ie: "java -jar jenkins.war".
I am guessing that your Jenkins install is running as a Windows Service. When Jenkins is run as a service on a Windows machine it runs under the System account, not a user account. The System account usually does not have the same settings as a user account.
You might want to try starting a CMD shell as the System Account. (The answers to this question should help you with that: How Do You Run CMD under System Account.) From there, try running the batch file and see what happens. You may find that you need to setup somethings like the PATH before it works.

The issue is that while your command actually works, it does that in Session 0 (which is the session of Local System user that launched your Jenkins service), which you cannot see while being logged in through your own user account, most likely in Session 1.

I am using SSIS 2005 to do some SFTPtasks using WinSCP. I googled about the error but couldn't make it work. I got this error:
[Execute Process Task] Error: In Executing "C:\Program Files\WinSCP\WinSCP.exe" "-script=C:\Documents and Settings\nian_z\Desktop\temp\SSISMovingSOA\removeSOA8.txt" at "C:\Program Files\WinSCP", The process exit code was "1" while the expected was "0".
Here is my WinSCP script that I use:

For above script, I even tried leaving only one statement at a time, but still got error.

Try this:
Try the following steps to find out if your script is actually working outside of SSIS or not.
Click Windows Start and click Run...
Type cmd to open Command Prompt.
On the command prompt window, type the following command at the prompt to switch to the WinSCP installation directory. I have the WinSCP installed in the following directory. Change the path according to your environment settings.
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSCP"
If your WinSCP script file removeSOA8.txt is located in the path C:\Documents and Settings\userid\Desktop\temp\SSISMovingSOA\ with spaces, then type the following command by enclosing the script path in double quotes to run the script and also use the /log option to capture all the status messages.
WinSCP.exe "/script=C:\Documents and Settings\userid\Desktop\temp\SSISMovingSOA\removeSOA8.txt" /log=C:\temp\WinSCP_log.txt
After the script executes, your will find that a log file named WinSCP_log.txt will be created in the path C:\temp. Read through the file to identify if there are any error messages.
Attempt to run FTP in SSIS:
I tried downloading a file from FTP using WinSCP with the following script:

Scenario: In my case I faced when i m trying to download a file from sFTP server.
Solution :
Step 1 - Create a batch file

I replace server with my real server name but the script doesn't work. I have no idea where it is getting the $1 and $2 from since it says copy and paste into the post commit hook I figured that means it doesn't need to be changed. I keep getting these errors:
