This is the query that I need to convert
SELECT pdg_matriculas.id_matricula, aluno.nome_aluno, pdg_serie.nome_serie, pdg_turma.nome_turma, aluno.status_aluno, pdg_matriculas.ano_letivo
FROM pdg_matriculas, pdg_serie, pdg_turma, aluno
WHERE pdg_matriculas.id_aluno = aluno.id_aluno
AND pdg_matriculas.id_serie = pdg_serie.id_serie
AND pdg_matriculas.id_turma = pdg_turma.id_turma
ORDER BY `aluno`.`nome_aluno` ASC
LIMIT 0 , 30
I tried to use direct query, It did not work.
$this->db->select('SELECT pdg_matriculas.id_matricula, aluno.nome_aluno, pdg_serie.nome_serie, pdg_turma.nome_turma, aluno.status_aluno, pdg_matriculas.ano_letivo
FROM pdg_matriculas, pdg_serie, pdg_turma, aluno
WHERE pdg_matriculas.id_aluno = aluno.id_aluno
AND pdg_matriculas.id_serie = pdg_serie.id_serie
AND pdg_matriculas.id_turma = pdg_turma.id_turma');
$this->db->limit(10);
$query = $this->db->get();
tried with Active Record and also failed
$this->db->select('T1.id_matricula, T2.nome_aluno, T3.nome_serie, T4.nome_turma, T2.status_aluno, T1.ano_letivo',FALSE);
$this->db->from('pdg_matriculas T1, aluno T2, pdg_serie T3, pdg_turma T4');
$this->db->where('T1.id_matricula','T2.id_aluno');
$this->db->where('T1.id_serie','T3.id_serie');
$this->db->where('T1.id_turma','T4.id_turma');
$this->db->order_by('T2.nome_aluno', 'asc');
$this->db->limit(10);
$query = $this->db->get();
Can anyone help me convert to Active Record?
Thanks!
Try this code:
$this->db->select('T1.id_matricula, T2.nome_aluno, T3.nome_serie, T4.nome_turma, T2.status_aluno, T1.ano_letivo',FALSE);
$this->db->from('pdg_matriculas as T1');
$this->db->join('aluno as T2','T1.id_matricula = T2.id_aluno');
$this->db->join('pdg_serie as T3','T1.id_serie = T3.id_serie');
$this->db->join('pdg_turma as T4','T1.id_turma = T4.id_turma');
$this->db->order_by('T2.nome_aluno', 'asc');
$this->db->limit(10);
$query = $this->db->get();
Sorry for the delay, now it worked, of course a few minor changes, more myth thanks to everyone and keep your reference.
$this->db->select('T1.id_matricula,aluno.nome_aluno,pdg_serie.nome_serie,pdg_turma.nome_turma,T1.ano_letivo,T1.id_aluno as id_aluno_m,aluno.id_aluno as id_aluno_a,aluno.status_aluno');
$this->db->from('pdg_matriculas T1');
$this->db->join('aluno', 'aluno.id_aluno = T1.id_aluno');
$this->db->join('pdg_serie', 'pdg_serie.id_serie = T1.id_serie');
$this->db->join('pdg_turma', 'pdg_turma.id_turma = T1.id_turma');
$page_data ['alunos_lista'] = $this->db->get ()->result_array ();

Hello please refer my following code which is in model
public function common_report($where) {
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->from('collect_data_form_history_db as ch');
$this->db->join('board_artwork_history_db as bh','bh.shop_id = ch.shop_id');
$this->db->where('bh.shop_id', $where);
// $this->db->where('bh.shop_id',$where);
$query = $this->db->get();
return $query->result_array();
}
what i want is all data from both table collect_data_form_history_db and board_artwork_history_db.
I get the data but in the wrong format.
In table 'collect_data_form_history_db ' i have 11 entries and in board_artwork_history_db i have 18 entries.
so data I get should be 29 rows but I get 198 rows means 11 * 18.
please tell me the solution
You need to use left join for that. Try this way
$this->db->join('board_artwork_history_db as bh','bh.shop_id = ch.shop_id', 'left');
$this->db->select('t1.*, t2.*')
->from('collect_data_form_history_db t1, board_artwork_history_db t2')
->where('t1.shop_id = t2.shop_id')
->where('t2.shop_id', $where);
$query = $this->db->get();
Try full outer join
public function common_report($where) {
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->from('collect_data_form_history_db as ch');
$this->db->join('board_artwork_history_db as bh','bh.shop_id = ch.shop_id', 'full outer');
$this->db->where('bh.shop_id', $where);
// $this->db->where('bh.shop_id',$where);
$query = $this->db->get();
return $query->result_array();
}
SELECT apntoken,deviceid,created
FROM `distribution_mobiletokens` as dm
WHERE userid='20'
and not exists (
select 1
from `distribution_mobiletokens`
where userid = '20'
and deviceid = dm.deviceid
and created > dm.created
)
What this query does is selects all mobiletokens where the user id is equal to 20 and the deviceid is the same but chooses the newest apntoken for the device.
My database looks like below.
For more information on this query, I got this answer from another question I asked here(How to group by in SQL by largest date (Order By a Group By))
Things I've Tried
$mobiletokens = $em->createQueryBuilder()
->select('u.id,company.id as companyid,user.id as userid,u.apntoken')
->from('AppBundle:MobileTokens', 'u')
->leftJoin('u.companyId', 'company')
->leftJoin('u.userId', 'user')
->where('u.status = 1 and user.id = :userid')
->setParameter('userid',(int)$jsondata['userid'])
->groupby('u.apntoken')
->getQuery()
->getResult();
//#JA - Get the list of all the apn tokens we need to send the message to.
foreach($mobiletokens as $tokenobject){
$deviceTokens[] = $tokenobject["apntoken"];
echo $tokenobject["apntoken"]."\n";
}
die();
This gives me the incorrect response of

Any help here is appreciated!
Other Information
Data with SELECT * FROM
Data after using the SQL I provided up top.
You could use a subselect created with the querybuilder as example:
public function selectNewAppToken($userId)
{
// get an ExpressionBuilder instance, so that you
$expr = $this->_em->getExpressionBuilder();
// create a subquery in order to take all address records for a specified user id
$sub = $this->_em->createQueryBuilder()
->select('a')
->from('AppBundle:MobileTokens', 'a')
->where('a.user = dm.id')
->andWhere('a.deviceid = dm.deviceid')
->andWhere($expr->gte('a.created','dm.created'));
$qb = $this->_em->createQueryBuilder()
->select('dm')
->from('AppBundle:MobileTokens', 'dm')
->where($expr->not($expr->exists($sub->getDQL())))
->andWhere('dm.user = :user_id')
->setParameter('user_id', $userId);
return $qb->getQuery()->getResult();
}
I did this for now as a temporary fix, not sure if this is best answer though.
$em = $this->em;
$connection = $em->getConnection();
$statement = $connection->prepare("
SELECT apntoken,deviceid,created
FROM `distribution_mobiletokens` as dm
WHERE userid=:userid
and not exists (
select 1
from `distribution_mobiletokens`
where userid = :userid
and deviceid = dm.deviceid
and created > dm.created
)");
$statement->bindValue('userid', $jsondata['userid']);
$statement->execute();
$mobiletokens = $statement->fetchAll();
//#JA - Get the list of all the apn tokens we need to send the message to.
foreach($mobiletokens as $tokenobject){
$deviceTokens[] = $tokenobject["apntoken"];
echo $tokenobject["apntoken"]."\n";
}
I am very confused about this (returning false):
$sql = "SELECT * from tbl_user WHERE group = 'abc'";
$res = mysql_query($sql);
if(mysql_num_rows($res) > 0) {
$response = array('status' => '1');
} else {
$response = array('status' => '0'); // ---> what I get back
die("Query failed");
}
...despite the fact the field group is present in mySQL database. Even more strange is that the following return the value of group:
$SQL = "SELECT * FROM tbl_user";
$result = mysql_query($SQL);
while ($db_field = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {
print $db_field['group']; // ---> returns 'abc'
When I execute a WHERE clause with every other fields of my table excepting group (for example WHERE name = 'ex1' AND ID=1 AND isAllowed=0 (and so on...), everything is fine. As soon as I insert group = 'abc', I get nothing...
This makes me mad. If anyone could help... (I am running a local server with MAMP).
Thanks a lot!
The issue is that group is a reserved word in SQL.
For MySql you need to escape it with backticks
`group`
So your query would be
$sql = "SELECT * from tbl_user WHERE `group` = 'abc'";
If I want to select whether i am following the threads or not.
I have two approaches to do so... but I don't know which one would be more better in terms of performance and speed. Can anyone help me out?
Approach 1
$cui = $_SESSION['user_id'];
$data = mysqli_query($con,"
SELECT t.*,( select count(follow_id) from follows where object_id =
t.thread_id AND object_type='thread' AND user_id = $cui) as me_follow FROM threads t
");
while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($data)){
/*
$row['me_follow'] = 0 if i aint following
$row['me_follow'] = 1 if i am following
*/
}
Approach 2
$cui = $_SESSION['user_id'];
$data = mysqli_query($con,"SELECT * FROM threads");
$ids = array();
while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($data)){
$ids[] = $row['thread_id'];
}
$ids = join($ids,",");
$data = mysqli_query($con,"SELECT COUNT(*) FROM follows WHERE object_id IN($ids) AND user_id = $cui");
One round-trip wins over two. This is because there is some overhead in sending SQL to the server, having it parse it, execute it and send the results back. It is (usually) better to do everything in one round-trip.
My Query :
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->join('pos_item_sales', 'pos_item_sales.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->join('pos_batch_infos', 'pos_batch_infos.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->where("`pos_item_sales`.`transaction_id` = '$transaction_id' AND (`pos_item_sales`.`item_barcode` = '$term' OR `pos_batch_infos`.`item_mbarcode` = '$term' OR `pos_item_infos`.`item_id` = '$term')");
$query = $this->db->get('pos_item_infos');
echo $this->db->last_query();
its solve my prob but i need like this query :
$term = $this->input->get('term',TRUE);
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->join('pos_item_sales', 'pos_item_sales.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->join('pos_batch_infos', 'pos_batch_infos.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->where('pos_item_sales.transaction_id',$transaction_id);
$this->db->where('pos_item_sales.item_barcode',$term);
$this->db->or_where('pos_batch_infos.item_mbarcode',$term);
$this->db->or_where('pos_item_infos.item_id',$term);
$query = $this->db->get('pos_item_infos');
echo $this->db->last_query();
But I need a Query like :
SELECT *
FROM (`pos_item_infos`)
JOIN `pos_item_sales` ON `pos_item_sales`.`item_id` = `pos_item_infos`.`item_id`
JOIN `pos_batch_infos` ON `pos_batch_infos`.`item_id` = `pos_item_infos`.`item_id`
WHERE `pos_item_sales`.`transaction_id` = '11355822927'
AND (`pos_item_sales`.`item_barcode` = '8801962686156'
OR `pos_batch_infos`.`item_mbarcode` = '8801962686156'
OR `pos_item_infos`.`item_id` = '8801962686156')
how i solve this prob pls help because its not include ( ) in my or condition.
if you go through the codeigniter userguide.. you can see that there are 4 ways to call where clause...
All of these does the same things... and your first code is codeigniter style (if incase you are worried that is not) that is the 4th method by codeigniter userguide where you can write your own clauses manually... there is no difference in calling the where function in anyways...
so i would go with your first query
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->join('pos_item_sales', 'pos_item_sales.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->join('pos_batch_infos', 'pos_batch_infos.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id');
$this->db->where("`pos_item_sales`.`transaction_id` = '$transaction_id' AND (`pos_item_sales`.`item_barcode` = '$term' OR `pos_batch_infos`.`item_mbarcode` = '$term' OR `pos_item_infos`.`item_id` = '$term')");
$query = $this->db->get('pos_item_infos');
echo $this->db->last_query();
which is perfectly fine...
In cases of complex queries i find it easier to just send raw query like this :
$query = "your query";
$result = $this->db->query($query);
Don't forget to escape variables before inserting them to the query like this :
$var = $this->db->escape($var);
$query="SELECT *
FROM pos_item_infos
JOIN pos_item_sales ON pos_item_sales.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id
JOIN pos_batch_infos ON pos_batch_infos.item_id = pos_item_infos.item_id
WHERE pos_item_sales.transaction_id = ?
AND (pos_item_sales.item_barcode = ?
OR pos_batch_infos.item_mbarcode = ?
OR pos_item_infos.item_id = ?)";
$params=array();
$params[]='11355822927';
$params[]='8801962686156';
$params[]='8801962686156';
$params[]='8801962686156';
$result=$this->db->query($query,$params);
$result=$result->result_array();
print_r($result);
Also, simplify your syntax with USING.
SELECT *
FROM pos_item_infos
JOIN pos_item_sales USING (item_id)
JOIN pos_batch_infos USING (item_id)
WHERE pos_item_sales.transaction_id = ?
AND (pos_item_sales.item_barcode = ?
OR pos_batch_infos.item_mbarcode = ?
OR pos_item_infos.item_id = ?)
