How to stop "TCP Transport Error" and "Connection Refused" in MonoDevelop? - monodevelop

I'm trying to build Nexus Mod Manager in MonoDevelop. After a random interval, it stops building or even cleaning. The first thing I get is "TCP Transport error", and then every other time "Connection Refused". (ie: "Clean failed. Connection refused")
Is that part of MonoDevelop? Or is this the result of some command specific to the project I am building? I ask because it is a difficult question to search for answers. I'm not very familiar with MonoDevelop, so I don't even know where to look to see what is causing that.
It would also be great to know if MonoDevelop stores a build-log somewhere, or if that, too, is up to the project.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Semantic MediaWiki error message not going away

The situation:
I installed an MW extension, uninstalled it again, and this broke my MediaWiki installation: The next time I viewed a page I got an error message that the SMW update key would be missing. Rebuilding the SMW database by running the SMW maintenance scripts worked to some extent: I now can get regular access to the pages again.
But now I have an error message if I view a page like this (translated from German):
The installation or update of Semantic MediaWiki has not yet been fully
completed. An administrator or another person with administrator rights
must therefore perform the following tasks in order to avoid data inconsistencies
before users of the wiki change existing content or create additional content:
And that's it. There is no text after the colon.
And there are no error messages in the logs. And there is apparently no job waiting in the job queue: Running the job script in the foreground exhibits that it is idle.
My question is: What could be wrong here? How can I get rid of this message? And why would uninstalling a simple MediaWiki extension kill the installation? Who has run into that problem before and has any hints for me?
Thank you for helping!

Deploying a .NET application to Google Cloud Platform worked on initial deploy, now getting 502 Error: Server Error

To give some background, I'm an (unpaid) intern, and I'm unrelated to dealing with this kind of stuff. My employers wanted to update some pictures, and they did locally but didn't know how to upload the new version to the server.
I used the publish settings that were saved in Visual Studio from when the previous intern deployed the server (he was specialized in web site stuff) and it worked on deploy ... then I refreshed the page and I'm getting 502 server error.
Steps I have taken:
Connect to the VM and restart it - didn't solve it. it's using Microsoft server 2016.
Open the VM trough RDP, check if there are errors. There were 3 services not running, and I start them manually. One still isn't running, Downloaded Maps Manager. Ok... I google it and it's not a necessary service so I disable it. Now there are no errors and all services are running but I still am getting this error.
I tried pinging the IP of the server, and the URL itself and it works.
I believe it might be something to do with the load balancer, but I had one HTML class and nothing dealing with actually publishing stuff. If you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. The only reason why I'm trying to fix this myself is that I didn't make some kind of backup, and I feel so stupid having taken the site down.
Edit: I've gone to "load balancing" and it says service unhealthy. I tried going to the IPs there and it brings me to the same 502 server error page. From what I've gathered this is a configuration error, it's impossible they messed something with the site itself, right? It did work that first time, and if I run it from Visual Studio it works on the local machine ...

Intermittent MySQL Connection Error in Azure Website

I'm getting the following error intermittently when making a call from my ASP.Net MVC web application which is using Dapper to query MySQL.
Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.
The exception only occurs when my web app is published to Azure. It has worked 100% of the time when I run the code locally. I've deployed the code to a second azure website, and also get the exception there, again intermittently.
The MySQL database is running on an Azure VM (Ubuntu). This server also has some R scripts that access the database, which are being run at a set interval. I've had no connectivity issue with these either. It is just the .Net code that's struggling.
I've scoured the web, but don't feel like I've turned up anything of value. Most of the links have pointed to a connection string problem, but since it works intermittently that doesn't seem to fit my problem. Some links have referenced DNS issues, but I'm getting the same problem when I use the IP Address instead of the machine name for the DNS server.
I'm sure I need to track down more information, but I'm not sure where it would be. This is my first foray into using a MySQL db in this fashion, and I'm not familiar with config options or log files on that side of things. I feel similarly about Azure websites with database interactions too.
What can I try next?
Just to drive home the point about this error being intermittent, here's a screenshot from the Runscope job that's hitting the page (thus triggering the MySQL query) every 5 minutes:
I was able to fix (or perhaps "circumvent") this problem by adding the --skip-host-cache flag to our mysql configuration file. I still don't fully understand what the root of the problem is, but we haven't had any issues with MySQL connectivity from the Azure website since adding that.

SQL Server Web Synchronization - replisapi?diag won't run - just tries to download

I'm trying to set up SQL Server 2008 Web synchronisation between 2 servers, and am following the instructions step by step on MSDN, here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff714039.aspx
All has gone fine, until I get to the section "Testing the Connection to replisapi.dll
" - when I go to https://my-server-name/sqlreplication/replisapi.dll?diag, I get a user name and password prompt, which is fine, and a 'There is a problem with this website's security certificate', which I expect, as I'm using a self-signed certificate during development.
Next though, I expect to see a diagnostics page, but instead, I get the browser's generic 'Do you want to open or save replisapi' message, forcing me to either open or save it.
Does anyone know what I'm missing here?
Many thanks in advance.
The .dll file is getting downloaded?
This happened to me before. I had to repair my IIS mappings using the Aspnet_regiis.exe utility. After running this utility I was able to view the diagnostics page.

Hope this helps.
Issue: 32 bit applications are disabled in your App pool.
Solution: To resolve the issue click on Application pools, right click on your Application Pool and select Advance Settings. Set "Enable 32 bit Applications" to be "True". Lastly "Stop" and "Start" Application Pool Tasks.

Struts Hibernate Mysql Tomcat based application hangs

I have an application running on Apache 2.2, tomcat 6 and it uses struts framework, hibernate framework. We use Mysql at back end. We also interact with third party servers to place some requests that are requested by the user. Due to confidentiality constrains I can not tell you exactly what we do but I can assure you that we have not customized any thing and we use the most general builds availaible for Apache, tomcat etc. We use Linux platform. Lots of visitors visit our site, where they first pay using payment gateways, and then buy a product. To buy the product we again have to hit a third party site. Its a simple e-commerce kind of setup. The problem is that some times the server hangs. As in it does not responds and when we click on a link that (I know) is served by the tomcat container, it does not get loaded. Here is what i need help for:
Since my hosting is on a headless linux platform, please suggest me a good debugging tool.
We have logging in place and we print stack trace of almost all exception(if they happen), we always monitor catalina.out, but when the server hangs, we dont see any activity on catalina.out. may be this can give some one a clue.
We have show_sql disabled for hibernate, we tried to enable it but still that was not sufficient to figure out if the application stucks on a query. We also have slow_sql log enabled but that does not show any significant queries. How can we check if my application is stuck on a query?
If my application is not stuck on a query, how can i know where it is stuck?
How can I get java stack dump?
What are possible ways to resolve such a problem.
ANy suggestions are welcome. I thank you all in advance for reading my question and for the time you will devote writing an answer.
Facing your situation I would do a thread dump when the servlet container "hangs". A thread dump provides you a list of the stack traces for all Java threads in a given JVM.
Doing a thread dump is pretty easy:
Find the Tomcat's process ID, e.g. ps -ef | grep java
Send a SIGQUIT to the process, e.g. kill -3 tomcatProcessId
You will find the thread dump's content in TOMCAT_HOME/logs/catalina.out.
