Bootstrap 3 dropdown not showing - html

I'm working with the new Bootstrap 3 and everything works fine, except dropdowns that I want to create. Please note me if someone knows what I'm doing wrong. Here is the source:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/bootstrap.min.css" />

Is it possible to just transfer these html bootstrap to a react app?

Let's say I have this in my html project as the header
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">

<body class="nav">
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">

</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navcol-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li class="active" role="presentation">Cakes </li>
<li role="presentation">My Cart </li>
<li role="presentation">Login</li>
<li role="presentation">Register</li>

</div>
</div>
</nav>

</html>
Can I just copy paste this directly in my react app? And if so, how? I tried putting all of the stylesheets on the html file on the react app and it does not work.
this is the html file of the react app under public:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<meta
name="description"
content="SHOP"
/>
-->
<link rel="manifest" href="%PUBLIC_URL%/manifest.json" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.1.0/css/bootstrap.min.css"

-->
<title>SHOP</title>
</head>
<body>
<noscript>You need to enable JavaScript to run this app.</noscript>
<div id="root"></div>

</html>
And this is the header.js
const Header = (props) => {
return (
<div class="nav">
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header">

<button
class="navbar-toggle collapsed"
data-toggle="collapse"
data-target="#navcol-1"
>
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>

</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navcol-1">

</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
);
};
export default Header;
There's no error but at the same time, it doesn't display all of the link and the designs.
You need to use className in the React JS files, not the public html file. Other than that, it looks like you have commented out the navbar link on the top left of the header.
The header.js file should look like this.
const Header = (props) => {
return (
<div className="nav">
<nav className="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
<div className="container">
<div className="navbar-header">
<a className="navbar-brand navbar-link" href="#">
<img src="assets/sweetara1.png" id="logo" />
</a>
<button
className="navbar-toggle collapsed"
data-toggle="collapse"
data-target="#navcol-1"
>
<span className="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span className="icon-bar"></span>
<span className="icon-bar"></span>
<span className="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<div className="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navcol-1">
<ul className="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li className="active" role="presentation">
Cakes
</li>
<li role="presentation">
My Cart
</li>
<li role="presentation">
Login
</li>
<li role="presentation">
Register
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</div>
);
};
export default Header;

Why is the toggle button of this Bootstrap Navbar not working properly? [duplicate]

I am trying to create a basic bootstrap navigation menu with a toggle button.
When the screen size is reduced, the navigation links hide as they should but the toggle button does not display. Why is this happening? Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks!

Why Bootstrap Navbar not collapsing?

I'm pretty much using the exact W3schools example for collapsing navbars, and it isn't working. I'm sure I'm overlooking something but can't seem to pin point it. Attached is my HTML code. Cheers!
<script type="text/javascript" src="assets/js/modernizr.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" >
openTab("Home")
function openTab(tabName) {
var i;
var x = document.getElementsByClassName("tab");
for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
x[i].style.display = "none";
}
document.getElementById(tabName).style.display = "block";
}
</script>
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#myNavbar">
<span class="sr-only">Menu</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Company Name</a>
</div>
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse" id="myNavbar">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li>Home</li>
<li>About Us</li>
<li>Products</li>
<li>Contact Us</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
The code snippet that you have provided is correct. The main reason behind the issue will be the missing of bootstrap or jQuery files. Please include the below lines and please run again the code.
<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
include this 4 lines to your head tag
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/twitter-bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.12.3.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/twitter-bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
You should include proper <head> tag. The following code should work fine:
<head>
<title>Bootstrap Case</title>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</head>
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#myNavbar">
<span class="sr-only">Menu</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Company Name</a>
</div>
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse" id="myNavbar">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav navbar-right">
<li>Home</li>
<li>About Us</li>
<li>Products</li>
<li>Contact Us</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
Just copy, paste and replace your content It's working fine. Most probably you are missing bootstrap files.

Try this and let me know. You have way too many span icon bars for the support for other devices, so I removed a couple.

These don't exist on your webserver. I suggest putting the CSS In a folder called "assets" and then refering to them like so:
