I am using the following CSS to make a flipping transition with CSS3:
/* simple */
.flip-container {
-webkit-perspective: 1000;
-moz-perspective: 1000;
perspective: 1000;
-webkit-box-shadow: 1px 1px 1px 1px #ccc;
-moz-box-shadow: 1px 1px 1px 1px #ccc;
box-shadow: 1px 1px 1px 1px #ccc;
border: 1px solid #fff;
}
.flip-container:hover .flipper, .flip-container.hover .flipper {
-webkit-transform: rotateY(180deg);
-moz-transform: rotateY(180deg);
transform: rotateY(180deg);
}
.flip-container, .front, .back {
width: 160px;
height: 160px;
}
.flipper {
-webkit-transition: 0.6s;
-webkit-transform-style: preserve-3d;
-moz-transition: 0.6s;
-moz-transform-style: preserve-3d;
transition: 0.6s;
transform-style: preserve-3d;
position: relative;
}
.front, .back {
-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;
-moz-backface-visibility: hidden;
backface-visibility: hidden;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
}
.front {
z-index: 2;
text-align: center;
}
.back {
-webkit-transform: rotateY(180deg);
-moz-transform: rotateY(180deg);
transform: rotateY(180deg);
}
.front .name {
font-size: 2em;
display: inline-block;
background: rgba(33, 33, 33, 0.9);
color: #f8f8f8;
font-family: Courier;
padding: 5px 10px;
border-radius: 5px;
bottom: 60px;
left: 25%;
position: absolute;
text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.05em #333;
-webkit-transform: rotate(-20deg);
-moz-transform: rotate(-20deg);
transform: rotate(-20deg);
}
.back-logo {
position: absolute;
top: 40px;
left: 90px;
width: 160px;
height: 117px;
background: url(logo.png) 0 0 no-repeat;
}
.back-title {
font-weight: bold;
color: #00304a;
position: absolute;
top: 180px;
left: 0;
right: 0;
text-align: center;
text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.05em #acd7e5;
font-family: Courier;
font-size: 2em;
}
.back p {
position: absolute;
bottom: 40px;
left: 0;
right: 0;
text-align: center;
padding: 0 20px;
}
Implementation of the CSS is as follows:
<div class="sidepanel" id="troll">
<div class="flip-container" ontouchstart="this.classList.toggle('hover');">
<div class="flipper">
<a href="../articlenew/troll.php?id=<?php echo rand(1,$maxnum);?>"><div class="front" >
<span style="font-size: 26px; color:#333;">The Best Thing in this World is</span><br />
<strong style="font-size: 40px; color:red;">SE...</strong></div></a>
<a href="../articlenew/troll.php?id=<?php echo rand(1,$maxnum);?>"><div class="back" style="text-align:center; color:#333;">
<!-- back content -->
<span style="font-size: 30px">Secrets!</span>
<img src="../trial/youmad.png" width="70" height="70" /><br />
<span style="font-size: 20px">You Mad?</span><br />
<span style="font-size: 16px">Best College Trolls</span> </div></a>
</div>
</div>
THe problem is that in some browsers it works fine, in some, i see the front text as well as the back text reversed, like when one sees a text in mirror. I have no clue where its messing up. I did gave browser version and compatibility a thought but i think HTML5 and CSS3 are enough popular now and all browsers support them. I am also sharing some images to explain:
Use this code it will solve your problem

transform: rotateY(-180deg);
}
Demo on Jsfiddle
I.E doesn't support backface-visibility
About Chrome, check here
I would also try setting backface-visibility hidden and transform-style : preserve-3d to everything (just to check)

Can we put more than 2 text or images in 'Flip-animation' or 'Flip-motion', if yes,then how?
I googled it, but couldn't find any satisfying answer. I searched this here too,but no question matched my requirements.
I require the text flip-animation for at least 3 text.

Im hoping someone can help me get my code to flip my second image properly (not mirror image) when viewed in IE. I think I have it working properly in the other browsers.
My goal is to have picture #1 show, then upon button click show the picture #2.
The code also uses javascript + jquery but my knowledge currently is limited.
Can someone offer a solution via css that I can add or amend my code with to accomplish what I am trying to do? Thanks.

IE10+ only has partial support for the property transform-style: preserve-3d. I assume that's why it wasn't working.
Here is a similar alternative that works in IE. (updated example)
HTML
<div class="block">
<div class="front side">
<img src="http://imgur.com/etY8veW.jpg" alt="" />
</div>
<div class="back side">

</div>
</div>
CSS - vendor prefixes omitted. See the example.
.block {
width: 500px;
height: 500px;
position: relative;
perspective: 500;
}
.side {
position: absolute;
transition: transform 0.5s;
backface-visibility: hidden;
}
.side.rotated {
transform: rotateY(360deg);
}
.back {
transform: rotateY(180deg);
}

I am trying to create a flip animation for some images, which when they turn over, display appropriate link text. This works perfectly in all browsers that I have tested, but IE11.
I read that there is a problem with transform-style: preserve-3d; for IE10, but as I am a CSS beginner, I have been unable to figure out a way to correct the coding.
Here is the HTML:
<div class="flipcontainer">
<div class="flipscene3D">
<div class="flip">
<div>
<p>
<a itemprop="url" href="ARC3RFC.html"><span itemprop="headline">ARC3RFC Essay: Tomb 100, Tomb U-J and Maadi South: Themes from Predynastic Egypt</span></a> - 2013
</p>
</div>
<div>
<img src="ARC3RFC.jpg" class="flipimg">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
And the CSS:
img.flipimg {
height: 150px;
width: 150px;
/*border-radius*/
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
border-radius: 5px;
}
.flipcontainer {
display: block;
width: 760px;
height: 700px;

I'm making a 3d box so I need most elements absolutely positioned. Front side is img, side is an empty div at the moment. Third div is a caption div, over the image with opacity of 0. I made simple hover effect to change this opacity to 1, it's working fine in FF, but not in Chrome.
I've seen that there are some bugs when using hover on absolute positioned elements in Chrome, but as I've understood, those occur only on elements with z-index, maybe I'm mistaken. Anyhow, here's the box code, I could really use some help figuring this one out, as I'm not able to pinpoint the problem Chrome is having.
HTML:
<div class="image-wrap">
<div class="image">
<img src="img/unyield.jpg" class="image-front">
<div class="image-caption">
<span class="caption-content">Unyielding sense</span><br/>
<span class="caption-one">cover artwork</span><br/>
<span class="read-more">INFO</div>
<div class="image-side"></div>
</div>
</div>
CSS BOX:
.image-wrap {
position: absolute;
top: 50%;
left: 5%;
margin-top: -225px;
width: 360px;
height: 550px;
perspective: 1000px;
-ms-perspective: 1000px;
-moz-perspective: 1000px;
-webkit-perspective: 1000px;
-o-perspective: 1000px;
}
.image {
position: absolute;
width: 360px;
height: 550px;
transform-style: preserve-3d;
-ms-transform-style: preserve-3d;
-moz-transform-style: preserve-3d;
-webkit-transform-style: preserve-3d;
-o-transform-style: preserve-3d;
transform: translateZ(-130px);
-ms-transform: translateZ(-130px);
-moz-transform: translateZ(-130px);
-webkit-transform: translateZ(-130px);
-o-transform: translateZ(-130px);
transition: all 1s ease;
-ms-transition: all 1s ease;
-moz-transition: all 1s ease;
-webkit-transition: all 1s ease;
-o-transition: all 1s ease;
}
.image-front, .image-side {
position: absolute;
width: 360px;
height: 550px;
backface-visibility: hidden;
-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;
}
.image-front {
transform: translateZ(180px);
-ms-transform: translateZ(180px);
-moz-transform: translateZ(180px);
-webkit-transform: translateZ(180px);
-o-transform: translateZ(180px);
}
.image-side {
transform: rotateY(90deg) translateZ(180px);
-ms-transform: rotateY(90deg) translateZ(180px);
-moz-transform: rotateY(90deg) translateZ(180px);
-webkit-transform: rotateY(90deg) translateZ(180px);
-o-transform: rotateY(90deg) translateZ(180px);
border: 1px solid #B8B5B5;
background-color: green;
}
And the problematic caption CSS:
.image-caption {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 30%;
opacity: 0;
background-color: black;
color: white;
text-align: center;
padding-top: 25px;
transition: all 0.3s ease;
-ms-transition: all 0.3s ease;
-moz-transition: all 0.3s ease;
-webkit-transition: all 0.3s ease;
-o-transition: all 0.3s ease;
}
.image:hover .image-caption{
opacity: 0.8;
}
this is giving problems px use deg
.image-front {
transform: translateZ(180px);
-ms-transform: translateZ(180px);
-moz-transform: translateZ(180px);
-webkit-transform: translateZ(180px);
-o-transform: translateZ(180px);
}
