Ajax JSON multi array - determing array index contains specified values - json

I am returning a JSON multi array from PHP via JQuery Ajax, and want to determine which array contains a value in order to access values in that array (likewise for the other arrays - up to three arrays altogethebeing returned.
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "scripts/get_model_imaging_report.php",
data: {
case_id:caseId,
level:currentLevel
},
dataType: "json",
success: function(returnedData) {
}
});
PHP;
$case = $_POST['case_id'];
$level = $_POST['level'];
$query = "SELECT * FROM model_image_report WHERE case_fk = '$case' AND level = '$level'";
$result = mysql_query($query, $connection) or die(mysql_error());
$data = array();
while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
$data[] = array(
'image_report_type' => $row['image_report_type'],
'subject' => $row['subject'],
'clinical' => $row['clinical'],
'study_type' => $row['study_type'],
'report' => $row['report'],
'comment' => $row['comment'],
'image' => $row['image'],
'image_annotated' => $row['image_annotated']
);
}
echo json_encode($data);
The key I need to check is 'image_report_type' and the values can be 'nuclear', 'radiology' and 'ultrasound'.
Then I need to access values in those arrays where 'image_report_type' == 'nuclear' for example.
The JSON array looks like:
[{"image_report_type":"nuclear","subject":"Brain Scan","clinical":"Clinical","study_type":"nuclear image scan.","report":"Report","comment":"Comment","image":"original_image_case_3_level_1_nuclear.jpg","image_annotated":"annotated_image_case_3_level_1_nuclear.png"},{"image_report_type":"ultrasound","subject":"Brain Scan","clinical":"Clinical","study_type":"Ultrasound image scan.","report":"Report","comment":"Comment","image":"original_image_case_3_level_1_nuclear.jpg","image_annotated":"annotated_image_case_3_level_1_nuclear.png"}]

You can accomplish this with the jQuery each function.
function(returnedData) {
$.each(returnedData, function(i,o) {
if (o.image_report_type == "nuclear") {
//Do Something
}
});
}
Here is a jsFiddle Demonstrating this technique

Try this http://jsfiddle.net/mN4LF/3/
Javascript
function findIndexOf(data, searchField, searchValue){
var result = new Array();
for(var i = 0; i < data.length; i++){
if(data[i][searchField] == searchValue){
result.push(i);
}
}
return result;
}

convert csv file to json object with Laravel

I am doing a project with Laravel 7. I have to read a csv file and through a controller passing the data in json format to a view.
Unfortunately I don't know how to do that.
These are my controller methods:
public function index($source)
{
$source = strtolower($source);
switch ($source) {
case "csv":
$file_csv = base_path('transactions.csv');
$transactions = $this->csvToJson($file_csv);
dd(gettype($transactions));
return view('transactions', ['source' => $source, 'transactions' => $transactions]);
break;
case "db":
$transactions = Transaction::all();
dd(gettype($transactions));
return view('transactions', ['source' => $source, 'transactions' => $transactions]);
break;
default:
abort(400, 'Bad sintax error.');
}
}
function csvToJson($filename = '', $delimiter = ',')
{
if (!file_exists($filename) || !is_readable($filename)) {
return false;
}
$header = null;
$data = array();
if (($handle = fopen($filename, 'r')) !== false)
{
while (($row = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, $delimiter)) !== false)
{
if (!$header)
$header = $row;
else
$data[] = array_combine($header, $row);
}
fclose($handle);
}
return $data;
}
As you can see, under the two cases I put a dd with a gettype function inside. In the first case I receive uncorrectly the response array, in the second one I receive correctly the response object.
The converted csv file should have this format:
[{"id":1,"code":"T_218_ljydmgebx","amount":"8617.19","user_id":375,"created_at":"2020-01-19T16:08:59.000000Z","updated_at":"2020-01-19T16:08:59.000000Z"},
{"id":2,"code":"T_335_wmhrbjxld","amount":"6502.72","user_id":1847,"created_at":"2020-01-19T16:08:59.000000Z","updated_at":"2020-01-19T16:08:59.000000Z"}]
Do you know how to convert the array transactions into a json object in the first case?
I don't know if there is any build-in solution on Laravel, but it can be done by PHP.
I didn't test my code. So it might not work, or contain some typos, but I'm sure it will give you some directions.
$cols = ["id","code","amount","user_id","created_at","updated_at"];
$csv = file('folder/name.csv');
$output = [];
foreach ($csv as $line_index => $line) {
if ($line_index > 0) { // I assume the the first line contains the column names.
$newLine = [];
$values = explode(',', $line);
foreach ($values as $col_index => $value) {
$newLine[$cols[$col_index]] = $value;
}
$output[] = $newLine;
}
}
$json_output = json_encode($output);
You can just do this :
$csv= file_get_contents($file);
$array = array_map('str_getcsv', explode(PHP_EOL, $csv));
$json json_encode($array);
If you want to return json object
return $json;
If you want to create a .json file
// Pure PHP
$file = fopen('results.json', 'w');
fwrite($file, $json);
fclose($file);
// Laravel using Storage
Storage::disk('local')->put('public/result.json', $json);
I hope this helps somone.
I have an email marketing application where I made bulk importers. So here is their CSV TO JSON code.
function convert_csv_to_json($csv_data){
// CSV to JSON process 1
$context = array(
'http'=>array(
'follow_location' => false,
'max_redirects' => 1000000
)
);
$context = stream_context_create($context);
if (($handle = fopen($csv_data, "r", false, $context)) !== FALSE) {
$csvs = [];
while(! feof($handle)) {
$csvs[] = fgetcsv($handle);
}
$datas = [];
$column_names = [];
foreach ($csvs[0] as $single_csv) {
$column_names[] = $single_csv;
}
foreach ($csvs as $key => $csv) {
if ($key === 0) {
continue;
}
foreach ($column_names as $column_key => $column_name) {
$datas[$key-1][$column_name] = $csv[$column_key];
}
}
return $json = json_encode($datas);
}
// OR
// CSV to JSON process 1
$cols = ['id',
'owner_id',
'name',
'email',
'country_code',
'phone',
'favourites',
'blocked',
'trashed',
'is_subscribed',
'deleted_at',
'created_at',
'updated_at.'];
$csv = file($csv_data);
$output = [];
foreach ($csv as $line_index => $line) {
if ($line_index > 0) { // I assume the the first line contains the column names.
$newLine = [];
$values = explode(',', $line);
foreach ($values as $col_index => $value) {
$newLine[$cols[$col_index]] = $value;
}
$output[] = $newLine;
}
}
return $json_output = json_encode($output);
}

Api Response and Json laravel format

I'm using Laravel 5.7. and GuzzleHttp 6.0 to get API response
from endpoint
I'm passing query data from Blade form to this function.
public static function prhmulti($multisearch, $start ,$end)
{ $city = $multisearch['city'];
$client = new Client([
'base_uri' => 'https://avoindata.prh.fi/tr/',
'query' => [
'totalResults' => 'true',
'maxResults' => '1000',
'registeredOffice'=> $city,
'companyForm'=>'OY',
'companyRegistrationFrom'=>$start,
'companyRegistrationTo'=>$end,
],
'defaults'=>[
'timeout' => 2.0,
'cookies' => true,
'headers' => [
'content-type' => 'application/json',
'User-Agent' =>"GuzzleHttp/Laravel-App-5.7, Copyright MikroMike"
]]]);
$res = $client->request('GET','v1');
$ResData = json_decode($res->getBody()->getContents());
dd ($ResData) gives all data from API response.
But I am not able to return JSON back to other function
return $this->multisave($ResData);
public static function multisave (data $ResData)
This will parse JSON and
{
foreach ($data->results as $company) {
$name = $company->name;
$Addr = $company->addresses;
$businessId = $company->businessId;
$companyForm = $company->companyForm;
$registrationDate = $company->registrationDate;
foreach ($company->addresses as $Addr) {
$city = $Addr->city;
$postcode = $Addr->postCode;
$street = $Addr->street;
}
}
save data to Mysql.
$NewCompany = new Company();
$NewCompany = Company::updateOrCreate($array,[
[ 'vat_id', $businessId],
[ 'name', $name],
[ 'form',$companyForm],
[ 'street', $Addr],
[ 'postcode', $postcode],
[ 'city', $city],
[ 'regdate', $registrationDate],
]);
}
IF Parse part and Save part is inside same function code works ok(save only one company),
but I need to separate them because later on it's easier to maintain.
Error which I am getting to return $ResData
" Using $this when not in object context"
Information is in JSON array.
Also foreach part save ONLY one company ?
foreach ($data->results as $company) {
$name = $company->name;
$Addr = $company->addresses;
$businessId = $company->businessId;
$companyForm = $company->companyForm;
$registrationDate = $company->registrationDate;
foreach ($company->addresses as $Addr) {
$city = $Addr->city;
$postcode = $Addr->postCode;
$street = $Addr->street;
}
So : 1) What is best way to create own function for parse JSON
and other for save data to DB?
2) As foreach loop save only one company data, What is
best way to fix it?
Thanks MikroMike.
Resolved my own question for saving companies to db
First get total number inside Array
use for-loop to make counting
use foreach-loop extract information per single company as object.
$data = json_decode($res->getBody()->getContents());
$total = $data->totalResults;
for ($i = 0; $i < $total; $i++){
$NewCompany = new Company();
foreach ($data->results as $company)
{
$name = $company->name;
$businessId = $company->businessId;
$companyForm = $company->companyForm;
$registrationDate = $company->registrationDate;
$array = [];
Arr::set($array, 'vat_id', $businessId);
Arr::set($array, 'name', $name );
Arr::set($array, 'form', $companyForm);
Arr::set($array, 'regdate', $registrationDate);
$NewCompany = Company::updateOrCreate($array,[
[ 'vat_id', $businessId],
[ 'name', $name],
[ 'form',$companyForm],
[ 'regdate', $registrationDate],
]);
}// END OF MAIN FOREACH
}// END OF For loop
}// END OF FUCNTION
} // END OF CLASS

Using AJAX returned JSON encoded data in Codeigniter

I am relatively new to codeigniter. While I was trying to perform a searching operation on my data base using AJAX, The code is returned as successful and the data is retrieved but, This data is JSON encoded and is in the javascript portion of my view so I am unable to use the json_decode function of codeigniter
public function lookup(){
$keyword = $this->input->post('term');
$data['response'] = 'false'; //Set default response
$query = $this->MAutocomplete->lookup($keyword); //Search DB
if( ! empty($query) )
{
$data['response'] = 'true'; //Set response
$data['message'] = array(); //Create array
foreach( $query as $row )
{
$data['message'][] = array(
'id'=>$row->id,
'value' => $row->firstname,
); //Add a row to array
}
}
echo json_encode($data); //echo json string
}
the data is accessed in the javascript as data.message.
Please tell me is there anyway i can use this data in the php part of my program
<?php
class MAutocomplete extends CI_Model{
function lookup($keyword){
$this->load->database();
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->from('Students');
$this->db->like('firstName',$keyword,'after');
$query = $this->db->get();
// echo '<pre>'; print_r($query->result()); exit;
return $query->result();
}
}
I think you need to parse json response in Ajax's success function using JSON.parse().Like this..
$.ajax({
url:'',//your url
dataType:'JSON',
data:'',//your data
success:function(response){
data = JSON.parse(response);
alert(data.message.value);//alerts value
}
});
In controller use count rather than empty.To check the array
if( count($query) >0 )
{
$data['response'] = 'true'; //Set response
$data['message'] = array(); //Create array
foreach( $query as $row )
{
$data['message'][] = array(
'id'=>$row->id,
'value' => $row->firstname,
); //Add a row to array
}
}
You should use to response:
return $this->output
->set_content_type('application/json')
->set_output(json_encode($data));

JSON response return HTML inside a Loop

I have this function in Laravel 5.1
public function calcolaKilometri()
{
$partenza = Input::get('partenza');
$destinazione = Input::get('destinazione');
$distanceMatrix = new DistanceMatrix(new Client(), new GuzzleMessageFactory());
$response = $distanceMatrix->process(new DistanceMatrixRequest(
[$partenza],
[$destinazione]
));
foreach ($response->getRows() as $row) {
foreach ($row->getElements() as $element) {
$distance = $element->getDistance();
$text = $distance->text;
$value = $distance->value;
$data = ['text' => $text, 'value' => $value];
return \Response::json($data);
}
}
}
need to return to Ajax JSON data but this function return plain HTML response, because we are in a forech loop. How i can do the trick?
I'm not sure I fully understand what you're saying but I assume you want to return all of the data found when looping through your result set in a single JSON response.
Try something like this:
// Your previous code...
// Initialise a $data array here, that we're going to fill with data
$data = [];
foreach ($response->getRows() as $row) {
foreach ($row->getElements() as $element) {
$distance = $element->getDistance();
$text = $distance->text;
$value = $distance->value;
// Append the new set of data to your array
$data[] = ['text' => $text, 'value' => $value];
}
}
// Return the data as JSON only when we've filled it with everything
return response()->json($data);
Try This...
$json = json_encode($data);
return \Response::json($json);
Solved using sessions. If someone have the same issue:
public function calcolaKilometri()
{
$partenza = Input::get('partenza');
$destinazione = Input::get('destinazione');
$distanceMatrix = new DistanceMatrix(new Client(), new GuzzleMessageFactory());
$response = $distanceMatrix->process(new DistanceMatrixRequest(
[$partenza],
[$destinazione]
));
foreach ($response->getRows() as $row) {
foreach ($row->getElements() as $element) {
$text = $element->getDistance()->getText();
$value = $element->getDistance()->getValue();
\Session::put('testo', $text);
\Session::put('valore', $value);
}
}
// Return the data as JSON only when we've filled it with everything
$testo = \Session::get('testo');
$valore = \Session::get('valore');
$result = ['text' => $testo, 'value' => $valore];
return \Response::json($result);
}

Style jQuery autocomplete to add image, and extra fields / variables

I want to style the field and its dropdown of jQuery autocomplete, but the way around is only through the controller I suppose because there, I'm able to concat the variables I need and send it to the jQuery autocomplete on the Blade file. But concatenating only echoes out the variables as a field, I wish to style the output like it is on the image attached to this post. How do I achieve this?
This is the controller:
public function SelectLocationPlaces(Request $userAdressRequest)
{
$term = $userAdressRequest->term;
$data = LocationPlaces::where('name', 'LIKE', '%'.$term.'%')->take(10)->get();
$countries = Country::all();
$countryFlag = CountryFlag::all();
$results = array();
foreach ($data as $key => $value) {
foreach ($countries as $key => $values) {
if($value->country_id === $values->iso_alpha2){
$countrySelected = $values->name;
$selectedCapital = $values->capital;
}
}
foreach ($countryFlag as $key => $valueFlag) {
if($countrySelected === $valueFlag->name){
$countryPerFlag = $valueFlag->flag;
$countryCurrency = $valueFlag->currency;
}
}
$results[] =
**
['value'=>$value->name .$value->timezone_id .$countrySelected, ];
**
}
return Response::json($results);
}
This is the Blade file:
<DIV align="center"><SPAN class="div-header">USER ADDRESS</SPAN></DIV>
<div>{!! Form::text('city_town', Input::old('city_town'), ['class'=>'css-classes', 'placeholder'=>'area/city', 'id'=>'city_town']) !!}</div>
<div>{!! Form::text('state_province_region', Input::old('state_province_region'), ['class'=>'css-classes', 'placeholder'=>'state/province', 'id'=>'state_province_region']) !!}</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
$('#city_town').autocomplete({
source: '{{ url('json/redirects') }}',
minLength: 1,
autofocus: true,
select: function(e, ui){
$('#state_province_region').val(ui.item.state_province_region);
$('#name').val(ui.item.name);
}
});
</script>
