I'm using mupdf component in my Windows 8 app. When I tried to upload it on store it is saying unsupported api. How to avoid this? It is pointing to mupdf references file.
When I remove that dll file my app is not running.
Here is my error code
windows 8 Supported API test FAILED

The Git repository for MuPDF includes source for building on winRT and there are project files in the platform/winrt directory. While this is relatively new, we believe that this all works, if you know differently you should probably open a bug report.
Please note that there is only 1 developer with a build and test system for this, so be patient if posting bugs specific to winRT.

I am getting an error of
"In order to select an item from your online storage, please sign in.".
I found a suggestion to deal with this situation was to Disable Block third-party cookies from chrome browser. And the other was to Allow [*.]google.com but none of this worked.
And I am using Google Drive in my own project through API. And by opening that popup I am getting this error.
Any Solution?
I got a solution and worked for me. Settings in Chrome then Content Settings and Uncheck Block third-party cookies and site data.

I developed HTML website. Used HTML and CSS only.
While looking into view source, it is showing unnecessary code at the end of the page and files too.
How can i solve this?
You're infected with Ramnit file infector virus. It's not curable.
Win32/Ramnit.A is a file infector with IRCBot functionality which
infects .exe, and .HTML/HTM files, and opens a back door that
compromises your computer. Using this backdoor, a remote attacker can
access and instruct the infected computer to download and execute more
malicious files. The infected .HTML or .HTM files may be detected as
Virus:VBS/Ramnit.A. Win32/Ramnit.A!dll is a related file infector
often seen with this infection. It too has IRCBot functionality which
infects .exe, .dll and .HTML/HTM files and opens a back door that
compromises your computer. This component is injected into the default
web browser by Worm:Win32/Ramnit.A which is dropped by a Ramnit
infected executable file.

You'll probably need to wipe the hard disk and reinstall OS

I am creating a windows phone 8.1 universal application with a background task. Every time my background task is instantiated the application crashes and none of my background application code is executed.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated
In a windows Universal Application Class library that implements IBackgroundTask the output type, must be set to "Windows Runtime component". If the Class library output is set to "Class library" the application will crash when trying to instantiate the background task with no exception being thrown.
To resolve in the class library goto project settings...
Select Output type and set the Output type: to "Windows Runtime Component".
This is a difficult error to diagnose since no exception is ever thrown.

I'm in the thought process of making my application open source. Before considering the licensing options, I would like to consider the below scenario and get your opinions.
My app is using some paid components for a module to work. That is, I'm paying for a developer license and a server license for the development and deployment of that module. Is this a showstopper in making my app as an open source application?
Yes the application you make would still be Open Source, because this is your own code so you can choose what you wanna do with it.
The way I look at it is, when you design an Open Source application that is running on Windows, it is Open Source even though it uses some code from Microsoft that is not Open Source.
And you can also have an application that is Open Source, but that you charge money for.
If someone is experts on this field then please correct me if I am wrong :)
I use this app to understand open source license terms (they have proprietary license too): https://enterprise.dejacode.com/license_library/
Hope it helps.

Read first please: This solution is intended for a limited amount of elder users and they certainly care more about installing "another thing" than about a silent installation (they don't even trust the internet and don't use it) and also they are fully aware that I will save that process for them; yes, I told them and they agreed. If you have a better solution, please share it with me.
Now the question: I need to silently install/copy Google Chrome in a Windows computer without internet, while installing another offline web application of mine provided in a CD. Is there any reliable portable version of Chrome?
In other words: I need to save the chrome installation process to the users, so they only need to execute a single installer.
Extra info: I'm currently using http://www.advancedinstaller.com/ to generate the installer.
Thank you.
