mysql-proxy proxy.queries:append call failing with .server_capabilities error - mysql

I'm trying to use mysql-proxy to substitute auth credentials like this:
proxy.queries:append(1,
proto.to_response_packet({
username = "connect",
response = password.scramble(s.scramble_buffer, password.hash("cpass!1")),
charset = 8, -- default charset
database = c.default_db,
max_packet_size = 1 * 1024 * 1024
})
)
And it's failing with this error:
(critical) (read_auth) [string "/home/aabbcc/test.lua"]:51: .server_capabilities has to be set
How do I set ".server_capabilities" correctly?

The examples/tutorial-scramble.lua file has a lot of problems - I think it is out of date with the current mysql-proxy. You'll need some constants and another parameter for the proto.to_response_packet call:
...
local CLIENT_PROTOCOL_41 = 512 -- New 4.1 protocol
local CLIENT_SECURE_CONNECTION = 32768 -- New 4.1 authentication
local MYSQL_AUTH_CAPABILITIES = ( CLIENT_PROTOCOL_41 + CLIENT_SECURE_CONNECTION )
...
proxy.queries:append(1,
proto.to_response_packet({
username = "connect",
response = password.scramble(s.scramble_buffer, password.hash("cpass!1")),
charset = 8, -- default charset
database = c.default_db,
max_packet_size = 1 * 1024 * 1024,
server_capabilities = MYSQL_AUTH_CAPABILITIES
})
)
Thanks due to this GitHub project for the constants - https://github.com/obrun/map-schema/blob/master/map-schema.lua
After this, you'll probably get another error like this:
network_mysqld_proto_password_scramble: assertion `20 == challenge_len' failed
For some reason, the scramble buffer is longer than it should be - if you print it out you'll see nulls at the end - we need to trim it down to 20 chars before we can use it:
...
response = password.scramble((s.scramble_buffer):sub(1,20), password.hash("cpass!1")),
...

MySQL error: Using unsupported buffer type: 3 with unsigned integers and mysql_stmt_bind_result()

If I bind an unsigned integer mysql_stmt_bind_result() returns 1 and id_mysql_stmt_error() gives me:
"Using unsupported buffer type: 3 (parameter: 1)"
Same result with MYSQL_TYPE_LONG, MYSQL_TYPE_TINY, MYSQL_TYPE_SHORT if the param 'is_unsigned' is set to TRUE.
// sql string is "SELECT some_ulong FROM some_table WHERE other_num='1'"
// init, prepare, execute return 0, all is fine up to this point
// here I try to bind to some_ulong
result[0].buffer_type = MYSQL_TYPE_LONG;
result[0].buffer = (void *)&longStorage;
result[0].buffer_length = sizeof(long);
result[0].is_unsigned = 1; // Works fine if set to 0
result[0].is_null = &is_null[0];
result[0].length = NULL;
// Bind result
if (!returnCode)
returnCode = mysql_stmt_bind_result (sqlStatement, &result[0]);
I have the problem on Windows and with Connector 6.0.2. Same code on macOS with Connector 6.0.2. accessing the same server works fine.
Sure, I can ignore that unsigned flag but sending a number that overflows a signed integer produces another kind of error.

odoo 9 migrate binary field db to filestore

Odoo 9 custom module binary field attachment=True parameter added later after that new record will be stored in filesystem storage.
Binary Fields some old records attachment = True not used, so old record entry not created in ir.attachment table and filesystem not saved.
I would like to know how to migrate old records binary field value store in filesystem storage?. How to create/insert records in ir_attachment row based on old records binary field value? Is any script available?
You have to include the postgre bin path in pg_path in your configuration file. This will restore the file store that contains the binary fields
pg_path = D:\fx\upsynth_Postgres\bin
I'm sure that you no longer need a solution to this as you asked 18 months ago, but I have just had the same issue (many gigabytes of binary data in the database) and this question came up on Google so I thought I would share my solution.
When you set attachment=True the binary column will remain in the database, but the system will look in the filestore instead for the data. This left me unable to access the data from the Odoo API so I needed to retrieve the binary data from the database directly, then re-write the binary data to the record using Odoo and then finally drop the column and vacuum the table.
Here is my script, which is inspired by this solution for migrating attachments, but this solution will work for any field in any model and reads the binary data from the database rather than from the Odoo API.
import xmlrpclib
import psycopg2
username = 'your_odoo_username'
pwd = 'your_odoo_password'
url = 'http://ip-address:8069'
dbname = 'database-name'
model = 'model.name'
field = 'field_name'
dbuser = 'postgres_user'
dbpwd = 'postgres_password'
dbhost = 'postgres_host'
conn = psycopg2.connect(database=dbname, user=dbuser, password=dbpwd, host=dbhost, port='5432')
cr = conn.cursor()
# Get the uid
sock_common = xmlrpclib.ServerProxy ('%s/xmlrpc/common' % url)
uid = sock_common.login(dbname, username, pwd)
sock = xmlrpclib.ServerProxy('%s/xmlrpc/object' % url)
def migrate_attachment(res_id):
# 1. get data
cr.execute("SELECT %s from %s where id=%s" % (field, model.replace('.', '_'), res_id))
data = cr.fetchall()[0][0]
# Re-Write attachment
if data:
data = str(data)
sock.execute(dbname, uid, pwd, model, 'write', [res_id], {field: str(data)})
return True
else:
return False
# SELECT attachments:
records = sock.execute(dbname, uid, pwd, model, 'search', [])
cnt = len(records)
print cnt
i = 0
for res_id in records:
att = sock.execute(dbname, uid, pwd, model, 'read', res_id, [field])
status = migrate_attachment(res_id)
print 'Migrated ID %s (attachment %s of %s) [Contained data: %s]' % (res_id, i, cnt, status)
i += 1
cr.close()
print "done ..."
Afterwards, drop the column and vacuum the table in psql.

Tried to upgraded from boto3 1.2.3 to 1.4.4
what is the possible cause for this behavior ?
My guess is that the issue is not in anything you described here.
Most likely the login-tokes time out or something along those lines. To investigate this further a closer look on the way the login works here is probably helpful.
How does this code run? Is it running inside AWS like on Lambda or EC2? Do you run it from your own server (looks like it runs on jenkins)? How is the login access established? What are those kms_credentials used for and how do they look like? Do you do something like assumeing a role (which would probably work through access tokens which after some time will no longer work)?

Corona sdk, functions run in wrong order?

I'm trying to save some data in to a table. I get the data from a database and it works ok.
My problem is that the data is not saved in the table. It is a lua table like table = {} and NOT a database table.
Maybe it is saved but it looks like the prints are done before the saving even though I call them after. In fact it seems like my network request is done last in my program even though I call it first.
I would real like to know the reason for this. Any ideas?
Here is the code:
---TESTING!
print("Begin teting!")
--hej = require ( "test2" )
local navTable = {
Eng_Spd = 0,
Spd_Set = 0
}
local changeTab = function()
navTable.Eng_Spd = 2
end
printNavTable = function()
print("navTable innehåller: ")
print(navTable.Eng_Spd)
print(navTable.Spd_Set)
end
require "sqlite3"
local myNewData
local json = require ("json")
local decodedData
local SaveData2 = function()
local i = 1
local counter = 1
local index = "livedata"..counter
local navValue = decodedData[index]
print(navValue)
while (navValue ~=nil) do
--tablefill ="INSERT INTO navaltable VALUES (NULL,'" .. navValue[1] .. "','" .. navValue[3] .."','" .. navValue[4] .."','" .. navValue[5] .."','" .. navValue[6] .."');"
--print(tablefill)
--db:exec(tablefill)
if navValue[3] == "Eng Spd" then navTable.Eng_Spd = navValue[4]
elseif navValue[3] == "Spd Set" then navTable.Spd_Set = navValue[4]
else print("blah")
end
print(navTable.Eng_Spd)
print(navTable.Spd_Set)
counter=counter+1
index = "livedata"..counter
navValue = decodedData[index]
end
end
local function networkListener( event )
if (event.isError) then
print("Network error!")
else
myNewData = event.response
print("From server: "..myNewData)
decodedData = (json.decode(myNewData))
SaveData2()
--db:exec("DROP TABLE IN EXISTS navaltable")
end
end
--function uppdateNavalTable()
network.request( "http://127.0.0.1/firstMidle.php", "GET", networkListener )
--end
changeTab()
printNavTable()
--uppdateNavalTable()
printNavTable()
print("Done!")
And here is the output:

And btw, navTable innehåller means navTable contains.
The answer is that networklistener run parallell with the rest of the code.

error starting phpmyadmin

I have phpmyadmin installed on my development machine
My platform
windows7 Home premium IIS 7.5
PHP Version 5.3.4 MySQL Server 5.5
PhpMyadmin Version 3.4.0-rc1
My php.ini has the following

There is a folder named 'temp' in the C:\Windows\ folder and it has full access by IIS users, user(my-computer/users), administrators, and system
I have another named 'temp' folder inside the php folder having the same security setting
But when running phpmyadmin I keep getting this message
"Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or
