Link to Google Maps - html

I'm developing a website in HTML and I would like to surround a postcode with a link so that when a user clicks on the postcode he is sent to google maps searching that postcode. Any advice how can I do that? Thanks!

POSTCODE
You mean like that?

See the Map Images API on Google. It's actually pretty straight forward.
Static Maps API
Add static maps, including terrain or satellite maps, to your web page or application. The Static Maps API supports custom styling, high resolution printing and displays, markers, and geometry.
Read the developer documentation.

Dev Documentation is here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/staticmaps/index

Just put this type of link with q=postcode :
Go on maps
example
Go on maps
Enjoy

Google maps with directions on a wordpress page

How can I get a map that simply shows how to get from A to B with a car on my WordPress page?
I used to do this in Google maps directly, I made a map showing the road from A to B and embed it on the page. It used to be so easy. And under the map I had a link to the same map in Google Maps where you also could get written directions. But like a month ago, Google changed their maps and all my maps got messed up. The links as well. Now I am trying to fix this and make new maps.
I have tried in Google maps directly like i used to do, and this is the closest I get to what I am looking for: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/embed/start. But I find that very hard to customize, because there are very few options. I have also tried a lot of different plugins, but so far no luck.
Is there a better way to do this?
If you want to customize the map, I can only strongly recommend you the Google Maps API. Here is a good example of how to integrate the directions service into a map and display it on your web page.

How to retrieve a static map showing city or municipality boundaries

I'm not sure where to start looking in the documentation, but I'm trying to load map images of cities with their boundaries outlined.
Like this...
Any help getting started would be greatly appreciated, I'm pretty new to the maps api.
Thanks
There is currently no way to request a map with boundaries automatically rendered on it. Your best bet is to pull the polygon information from another system and render using an encoded polyline if you're using the Static Map API or regular overlays in the JavaScript API.

Embeded google street view

Is it possible to have a google map embeded street view panorama of a given address in your page?
All the codes I have came across work with coordination, I'm looking for "address", since if you just use coordination you will have to set pov and all that,
Google seems to do that itself, look at the panorama picture here:

Yes, using the Google Maps Javascript API V3. Take a look here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/services.html#StreetView
You can also embed Street View on your page by just using Google Maps.
Search for the address on Google Maps.
Go to the Street View for the location.
Click the link button in the upper-right hand corner above the map.
Click the 'Customize and preview embedded map' link.
A new page will open up with some customization opens and the code to embed the map/image on your page.
Yes you can. All you need is a google decoder who will decode your address. Another way is to directly pass your address as a part of the url to google.
When using decoder, you will get the result in the form of a latitude longitude object which you can use to reset/set your map's marker
There is no way to accurately set the heading automatically and no way to set the pitch and fov (field of view) - BUT if you figure these out manually you can create a URL that fetches a static image with those settings from Google
Take a look at this tutorial on the Street View Image API

How can one get this texture or background on google maps?

Please take a look at this implementation of http://map.embed.ly/ [google maps][1] . Would like to know how it can be achieved ? I have seen only satellite, hybrid implementation this seems new to me

It looks like a well done custom overlay on top of Google Maps API (v3).
The GMAP API website has an example that shows the code as well as the output. Good luck!
What you're looking at doing is implementing the Google Maps API. It provides methods for placing custom overlays and data sets into a Google Maps interface:

How do I turn off/hide landmarks on googlemaps

I am using the google maps api v2 to build attraction guide mashup. Currently it shows some landmarks on the tiles it returns. I notice some of the geocoding of certain attractions is off.
Is there a way I can tell google to send back map tiles with no land marks? I cant seem to find any info on the api docs about it.
As of Google Maps API v3, you can use the Google Maps API Styled Map Wizard to do exactly this.
There is no way to request custom tiles from Google. Your only option is to choose from the available map types, or to generate your own tiles.
The Terrain map (G_PHYSICAL_MAP) might be more acceptable for you.
