HTML to PDF using HTML::HTMLDoc - html

i have generated PDF file from HTML using HTML::HTML Doc but while opening the file, it shows following error what should I do please help me...
error:
Could not open foo.pdf

I dont know what tool you may be using, but you can try using DOMPDF https://code.google.com/p/dompdf/
However, I think this is a little old, I havent used it recently, and I think it may be php driven.
EDIT: Its PHP driven from what I read, but is compliant from CSS2.1 towards CSS3 :)

Confused HTML beginner here

so I've recently started learning web development and I read and write html according to a tutorial that uses html 4, and just practice it on notepad++ and test them on my browser.
Now there's a problem that's been bugging, the web page doesn't change at all even if I comment out the code or change a few things in it.
I messed around with the height and width of an image and it didn't change, I tried creating a folder outside the notepad++ folder and put everything there and nothing changed, I created a completely new file(added in notepad++) and folder and it was the same. I'm still in the middle of the tutorial and this problem has just been bothering me, someone please help
I think you should try clearing browser cache or try using other IDEs like vscode or if you use android then trebedit or Dcoder
Try refreshing your page, or use an IDE like Visual Studio Code and the live Server plugin. This should help you as a beginner because both of these tools are really easy to use. Maybe it isn't changing because you had never saved your file.

convert html with css to PDF using jquery/javascript

I want to convert a HTML report to PDF with CSS. I have look through the google and I found jsPDF. But the problem with jsPDF is that it does not supprt CSS. To make the CSS work I have used html2canvas. But it does not work properly.
Can anyone suggest me a better solution?
If it's for your own use, install a pdf printer driver on your computer (there are loads of them if you google, but you probably already have one installed anyway) then just print the report to pdf.

Adding functionality to Proto.io html files

I have made an prototype on proto.io, and have the html code generated for it by proto.io itself.
Now my question is can I use this HTML code and add functionality like connecting to server and retrieving data?
Thank You.
This is very old, but I ran into the same question and figured out it's not so easy to get clean, usable html & css code from (mockup)tools that auto-generate code. The generated html-code from proto.io will hardly be usable for connecting to a server or similar, because it's full of other code proto.io uses.
Macaw, Webflow and Protoship (in the paid version) seem from my research to be such tools (not tested).

quickest way to find broken DIVs

I have a site that is calling a great deal of HTML from a third party source. Trouble is, I think they are returning malformed code to me.
I need a quick way to find additional DIV closures, is this possible?
create a page calling just the provided code then validate it - W3C Validator
Just install View shource chart add on for firefox and u can find the source generated in a formatted manner which is easy to find the unwanted tags..
You can try this:
http://www.tormus.com/en/tools/div_checker
Will find non matching divs for you. Very helpful
Try w3 org validator
While an IDE is not specifically mentioned, I would highly recommend putting the code into an IDE.
In Dreamweaver CS6 you can Validate directly to WC3 from within Dreamweaver. When an error is found you can go directly to that portion of the code and leverage the tools of the IDE.

best HTML validator/parser?

I have a large HTML file, and it looks like some tags are not closed. It's hard to find it. I am using VIM as the editor.
Is there any good way to find it?
You can validate your html using http://validator.w3.org/
Just make sure you specify the DOCTYPE correctly and it'll find anything that is invalid.
I assume you are on running Linux?! If so, you could try Eclipse
It is a complete IDE, which will help you in many cases and make programming a lot more efficient
Just use Notepad++. It is free and light weight code editor, and I already found many unclosed tags in my html with it...
HTML Validator (extension for Firefox) has helped me in the past. You need to load the page in the browser to find the errors.
If you can put you code online you could try Dr. Watson.
Another validator to try is the CSE HTML Validator. The online version is here:
