The text shows up but the background doesnt.
[ index.html ]
<div class="Footer">Copyright bla blah</div>

You are opening a p tag and closing with a div tag.
<p class="Footer">Copyright bla blah</p>
Also you have not defined a background color.
Use background-color instead of colorfor it in the css.

Replace
color: #ffffff;
with
background-color: #ffffff;

Sorry i am going to rip your question apart, because someone has to.
Firstly, you are opening with a <p> tag and closing with a </div> tag. This is your first mistake. Secondly, you have not declared a background-color variable at all in the CSS provided. Thirdly, you should never use a <p> tag for ANY BLOCK elements on your page. Always use a <div></div> for your block elements. It is just good practice and valid HTML coding.
In saying that, your code should look something like the following:
[ Style.css]
.Footer {
width: 200px;
border: 1px solid blue;
padding: 5px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #ffffff;
background-color: red;
}
[ index.html ]
<div class="Footer"><p>Copyright bla blah</p></div>
(the <p></p> tag above is purely up to you to have or not as it does allow for more flexibility in your design but not necessary to have.
Hope this helps for future endeavors.

Horizontal navbar menu submenu alignment

In the following code, I am creating a navigation bar. When you hover on an item in the navbar, it displays a drop down menu. Certain items on the drop down menu display a submenu when hovered. All this is working, but when the submenu displays, I am having issues with the positioning of its top property. I have tried making its' parent div position:relative, adjusting it's top: position, adjusting the display property, etc., but can't seem to locate the problem.

I made a small change on the .dropdown selector and now it's working:

Hope it helps!
The issue has to do with your display property of your .dropdowns.
if you set the display property to inline-block on those <div>s they should render more correctly. You may have to add width: 100% to your .dropdown CSS and reduce the white space in between each menu item by adding font-size: 0 to .navtwo css, but it works:
Also, Ignacio's float solution, does pretty much the same thing.
Display: block for those <div>s is the problem. floating or displaying as inline is your best solution

Create a responsive CSS button with arrow

I'm trying to create a responsive button from a photoshop mockup in HTML and CSS. Here is the button mockup:
I'm struggling with how to get the arrow in the white space and to stay there through different screen sizes.
I created the color separation through a gradient, like this:

And it currently looks like this:
What is the best way to move forward? I wondered if I should just use screenshots of the button from the mockup, or if I should make it in CSS. How can I make the button look like this and be responsive?
Use pseudo elements :before and :after, to make the background and the arrow. Use Font Awesome etc if you need a different shape of arrow.
button {
font-size: 3vw;
padding: 2vw;
color: #ffffff;
background: #903;
border: 0;
position: relative;
padding-right: 8vw;
}
button:before {
content: '';
width: 6vw;
position: absolute;
right: 0;
top: 0;
bottom: 0;
background: white;
border: 1px solid #903;
}
button:after {
content: '❯';
position: absolute;
right: 2vw;
color: #903;
}
<button>All Team Members</button>
jsfiddle
try this:
.btn {padding:10px 40px 10px 20px;
width:70%;
border-radius:3px;
border:2px solid inherit;
border-color: #eeeeee;
background-color:rgb(153,0,51);
background-position:center right;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
text-align:center;
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#990033', endColorstr='#ffffff',GradientType=1 ); /* IE6-9 */
font-size: .6em
}
.white_txt {color:#ffffff!important;}
.purple_btn {border:2px solid #eeeeee;border-radius:3px;}
<div class="purple_btn btn">
<div class="white_txt">All Team Members</div>

Hover effect in nav bar doesn't work as wished

I created a hover effect for my navigation bar / the list inside it. On hover I want to create a "pressed button" effect by applying a box shadow. But the shadow only is casted in a small box. (check picture below)
I want the shadow to fill out the whole navbar around the hovered area.
I have no idea where to put my code and would be glad about any help :)
HTML CODE:
<nav>
<div class="nav-wrapper">
<ul>
<li>Home</li>
<li>Projekte</li>
</ul>
</div>
</nav>
CSS CODE:
html, body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
height: 100%;
background-color:white;
font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;
}
.nav-wrapper {
margin: 0 auto;
margin-top: 50px;
width: 60%;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
color:#787878;
box-shadow: 2px 2px 3px #BDBDBD;
border-radius: 5px;
background: #f9f9f9; /* Old browsers */
background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #f9f9f9 0%, #ededed 100%); /* FF3.6+ */
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,#f9f9f9), color-stop(100%,#ededed)); /* Chrome,Safari4+ */

filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#f9f9f9', endColorstr='#ededed',GradientType=0 ); /* IE6-9 */
}
ul {
list-style: none;
}
li {
display: inline;
padding: 0 15px;
}
li:hover {
box-shadow: 2px 2px 3px #BDBDBD inset;
}
a {
text-decoration: none;
color:#787878;
}
Add this:
li:hover {
box-shadow: 2px 2px 3px #BDBDBD inset, 2px 2px 3px #BDBDBD;
}

Or the bevelled effect here:
li:hover {

Update from Comments
Remove padding for .nav-wrapper and give it to li
.nav-wrapper {
padding: 0;
}
li {
display: inline-block;
padding: 15px;
}
Preview:
Fiddle: http://jsbin.com/bowawodode/2/edit
Remove the padding from the navigation and add it to the li's. Remember the border is outside the padding and inside the margin.
Example:
https://jsfiddle.net/m98yedk6/1/
.nav-wrapper {
position: relative;
margin: 0 auto;
margin-top: 50px;
width: 60%;
color:#787878;
box-shadow: 2px 2px 3px #BDBDBD;
border-radius: 5px;
background: #f9f9f9; /* Old browsers */
background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #f9f9f9 0%, #ededed 100%); /* FF3.6+ */
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,#f9f9f9), color-stop(100%,#ededed)); /* Chrome,Safari4+ */
background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #f9f9f9 0%,#ededed 100%); /* Chrome10+,Safari5.1+ */
background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #f9f9f9 0%,#ededed 100%); /* Opera 11.10+ */
background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #f9f9f9 0%,#ededed 100%); /* IE10+ */
background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #f9f9f9 0%,#ededed 100%); /* W3C */
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#f9f9f9', endColorstr='#ededed',GradientType=0 ); /* IE6-9 */
}
li {
display: inline-block;
padding: 10px;

CSS - positioning navigation title

I was wondering how can I position navigation titles so that my dropdown menu would work..
The following picture is my perfectly positioned a links, separated thanks to padding-left, which is set to 80 px; Strangely enough, my dropdown category is padded as well, leaving extra space, which makes it very ugly to look. And my dropdown menu link is separated in two lines, although it is only one link. How can I fix this problem? I tried with margin as well, nothing really changed. I would like it to be something like this the third picture..
Picture one - My desired navigation positioning :

Picture two - My dropdown problem :

Picture three - The way I would like it to be:

How can I accomplish this?
EDIT!
My CSS code:

Set the dropdown ul to have text-align: left; - this should show the text on the left hand side. For some reason your text is right aligned...

How to have no border around a DIV

I have the following DIV in my page:
<div id="leftNavCustom" class="leftMenu">
<div class="menu-item">
<h4>Menu</h4>
<ul>
<li id="u"><a >Why Choose Us</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Physicians</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Medical Specialties</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Locations</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Urgent Care</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Radiology</a></li>
<li id="u"><a >Lab</a></li>

By default it creates a big space around the menu as shown below:
The only way the menu comes out normal like I would like:
Is to add the following style to the above css file:
* {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
But that makes some of my other DIVS on the page out of place. I tried adding margin and padding to every single code in my CSS but nothing works without adding the few lines shown above.
How do i modify my existing css code to fix it?
JSFIDDLE: http://jsfiddle.net/s2z6f/
Remove the margin from the specific elements that shouldn't have it (the h4 and the ul of .menu-item). You can do this rather than using * as the selector.
.menu-item h4, .menu-item ul {
margin: 0;
}

Try starting off with a CSS reset.
http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/css/reset/
This will "zero out" all properties that individual browsers introduce automatically. It's generally a good practice if you're going to be writing a lot of custom styles.
